Beeter was sent down Friday after giving up three runs in 1 2/3 innings in his season debut. He’s allowed to return to the majors so quickly because Mark Leiter Jr. was placed on the injured list.

After taking over for an injured Clarke Schmidt, Beeter gave up three runs in 1 2/3 innings Thursday in his season debut. He’ll probably get a real look at some point during the second half.

Beeter will have a chance ot make his season debut for the Yankees after missing the start of the year with a shoulder impingement. The right-hander offers help for the Yankees as a multi-inning relief option, but without wins or saves nor the counting stats that come with them, he remains off the fantasy radar.

Beeter, who missed the start of the year with a shoulder impingement, could be close to getting a look in the Yankees pen; he’s up to 94-97 mph with his fastball as a reliever and he’s allowed just two runs in 12 innings for the RailRiders. Walks are the only thing holding him back; he has a 19/9 K/BB over his 12 innings. In his last three outings, though, he’s struck out six and walked none over three innings.
