Bellinger was called upon to pinch hit with the bases loaded and one out in the seventh inning, with the Yankees trailing 2-1. He smacked a 2-1 fastball from Greg Weissert into left field for a go-ahead two-run single, giving the Bombers a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. On the season, the 30-year-old slugger is now hitting .271/.373/.435 with three homers, 13 RBI and three stolen bases through his first 102 plate appearances.

Bellinger will take a seat with left-hander Payton Tolle toeing the slab for the Red Sox. Trent Grisham will start in center field and bat leadoff for the Bombers while Randal Grichuk draws a start in left and will bat fifth.

Bellinger took Royals lefty starter Noah Cameron deep for a two-run shot in the third inning before taking reliever Mitch Spence deep in garbage time a couple frames later to cap off his first multi-homer performance of the year. The 30-year-old reached base safely in four of his five plate appearances during the one-sided slugfest. It was his first time leaving the yard since April 4. He’s hitting .274/.368/.452 with three homers, 11 RBI and three steals in 20 games this season.

Bellinger launched a 394-foot home run at 105.5 mph off the bat against Max Meyer for his first home run of the season. The RBIs are also his first RBIs of the season, so it’s been a slow start to the season for the 30-year-old, but today was a good step in the right direction.

Bellinger knocked a base hit in the first inning and scored the first run of the game on a double by Ben Rice. After drawing a walk in the third, he singled, stole second, and scored again in the sixth. It was the first stolen base of the season for the 30-year-old outfielder. He’s 6-for-18 at the dish so far with a 3/3 K/BB ratio.

The 30-year-old slugger is working his way through a “very mild” back issue. The Yankees are simply taking every possible precaution here as they don’t want the injury to linger into the regular season. As of now, there’s no reason to think that Bellinger won’t be ready for Opening Day.

Boone said that Bellinger’s back “went out on him a little bit” and the Yankees aren’t going to take any risks with the 30-year-old outfielder. It sounds like Bellinger could be back in the lineup as early as Tuesday, and fantasy managers have reason to believe he’ll be ready to roll when the season starts.

The move to open up a spot on the 40-man has not been announced, but it’ll probably be either Michael Siani or Marco Luciano going back on waivers. Bellinger gets a full no-trade clause and opt outs after the 2027 and ’28 seasons. The 30-year-old is likely to remain the Yankees’ primary left fielder, though he could play some center against lefties. He’s also still very capable at first base, but the Yankees didn’t like putting him there last year. He’ll probably hit second ahead of Aaron Judge or third behind him, setting him up nicely to remain a top-20 fantasy outfielder, even if he’s probably not quite as good as he was last season.

The Yankees weren’t able to do anything against Blue Jays’ starter Trey Yesavage, who hurled 5 1/3 innings of no-hit baseball. As soon as he exited though, Aaron Judge got the club’s first knock and Bellinger followed with a 370-foot two-run blast off of Justin Bruihl, but all that did was pull the Bombers to within 10 runs at 12-2. Bellinger also added a sacrifice fly in the seventh, finishing his day 1-for-4 with three RBI and a pair of strikeouts. The Yankees will certainly have their work cut out for them heading back to New York down 2-0 and looking to stave off elimination.

The Yankees’ best scoring chance came as they loaded the bases with nobody out in a 2-0 game in the sixth inning. After Aaron Judge struck out, Bellinger worked Kevin Gausman for a four-pitch walk to trim their deficit to just one run with the bases still loaded — but that would be all they would end up getting. Bellinger finished the afternoon 0-for-3. The Yankees will look to bounce back and even up the series at a game apiece when they battle rookie right-hander Trey Yesavage in Game 2 on Sunday.

Bellinger is good to go after suffering a bruised heel during Thursday’s series-clinching victory over the Red Sox on a slide into home plate. The presence of Blue Jays ace Kevin Gausman gives New York the clearance to roll with a lefty-heavy lineup that also includes Ben Rice and Jazz Chisholm Jr. in addition to Ryan McMahon.

After a strong season with the Yankees, Bellinger is now set to be “one of the best bats on the market.” Passan believes that Bellinger will “seek nine figures this winter,” in what could be one of the biggest contracts given to any free agent this offseason.

After Aaron Judge was intentionally walked with one out, Bellinger delivered a bloop single to left for his only hit of the night, scoring the automatic runner. The Yankees then added runs on doubles from Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Anthony Volpe to make it 6-3 and held on to win from there.

Bellinger opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 396-foot (107.7 mph EV) two-out, two-run shot off of Davis Martin in the top half of the first inning. He also led off the ninth inning with a single and scored the game’s final run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Paul Goldschmidt. With his three-hit attack, the 30-year-old slugger is now hitting .283/.336/.511 with 26 homers, 81 RBI and 11 stolen bases across his first 530 plate appearances.

Bellinger’s solo homer accounted for the Yankees’ only run despite the team making tons of hard contact all game long. He’d been cold over the last few weeks going just 6-for-42 in August before this game, so here’s to hoping two homers in his last three games is a sign that he’s turning it back on.

New York’s lineup seems much more formidable with generational talent Aaron Judge back at DH on Tuesday night following a minimum stay on the injured list with a minor elbow issue. Giancarlo Stanton draws the short straw in this one with Bellinger in right field along with Trent Grisham and Jasson Domínguez occupying the other spots.

Bellinger was held out of Monday’s lineup because of the Yankees’ crowded outfield situation and his subpar career numbers against Kevin Gausman. It might have fired him up tonight, as he had three extra-base hits for just the fifth time in his career. Of course, one of those came earlier this month, when he homered three times against the Cubs. However, he’d had only one other such game since 2018. Bellinger has now matched his 2024 home run total in 38 fewer games (92 versus 130).

It’s a rare break for Bellinger, who is hitting .315 (40-for-127) with eight homers and two steals over his last 30 games, especially since it comes against a right-handed starter in Kevin Gausman. It’ll be his first off day since June 25. It’ll be Trent Grisham patrolling center field with Jasson Domínguez in left field on Monday night at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. The other notable lineup development for New York here is Paul Goldschmidt getting the nod over Ben Rice at first base in this one.

You hit three homers, and have the potential fourth round-tripper stolen by a brilliant defensive play, you get to bat second in the ensuing contest. Those are the rules. Bellinger has been sizzling-hot at the dish over the final handful of first-half contests, batting .464 (13-for-28) with four homers and 10 RBI over his last seven games. Jasson Domínguez takes a seat with Bellinger patrolling left field and Trent Grisham in center field on Saturday against Cubs lefty Matthew Boyd.

In what was a revenge game against the team that traded him away for salary relief this past offseason, Bellinger made the Cubs know what they were missing. He supercharged the Yankees’ offensive attack with three homers in a blowout victory. Funny enough, what would have been a fourth was robbed by Kyle Tucker in the seventh inning. We were that close to witnessing history. Nevertheless, Bellinger will close an incredible first half with an .838 OPS, 18 home runs, and nine stolen bases.

Bellinger notched a base hit in the first inning, then doubled and scored a run in the fourth before slugging a three-run homer off Hogan Harris in the fifth. The 39-year-old outfielder is up to 11 homers while slashing .270/.332/.460 with 40 runs scored, 42 RBI, and eight steals across 319 plate appearances.

On a night where the Yankees only had four hits, Bellinger had two of them. The 29-year-old outfielder singled with two outs in the third inning to drive in the Yankees’ second run. He also stole his eighth base of the season, though he didn’t end up coming around to score. Bellinger is hitting .264 with a .770 OPS and 39 RBI on the year.

It’s a different look on Wednesday night for New York after dropping the first two games of a three-game set in Cincinnati. Aaron Judge has been bumped up to second spot in the order with Ben Rice at first base and hitting third while Giancarlo Stanton is at DH and batting cleanup. It’ll be Trent Grisham leading off with Bellinger taking a seat in favor of Jasson Domínguez in left field.

Bellinger got to starter Jack Kochanowicz for a 358-foot home run that left the bat at 98.7 mph. It was Bellinger’s 10th home run of the season, but he also fouled out to third base with two runners on in the eighth inning. He now has a modest 37 RBI while slashing .251/.320/.442 in his first season in New York.
