Brazobán heads back to the minors as New York continues to re-shuffle its bullpen mix. The 35-year-old righty has posted a respectable 3.67 ERA across 56 1/3 innings over 47 appearances at the highest level this season.

Brazobán is going to be off the roster regardless of the results of the imaging; the Mets have already recalled Kevin Herget to take his spot on the roster. The question is whether it’s an option to Syracuse of a 15-day injured list sint, and that will be determined in large part by that testing.

Brazobán returns to New York’s relief mix with Frankie Montas hitting the shelf with a UCL injury. The 35-year-old righty has posted a serviceable 3.83 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 51/26 K/BB ratio across 51 2/3 innings (44 appearances, three starts).

Brazobán heads back to the minors after recording only two outs during Monday’s relief appearance against the Padres. The 35-year-old righty has pitched well this season overall with a respectable 3.83 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 51/26 K/BB ratio across 51 2/3 innings (44 appearances, three starts). He’ll likely return at some point in August.

Brazoban had to strand the automatic runner after the Mets pushed only one across in the top of the 10th, but he did so without incident. Edwin Díaz pitched the ninth in a tie game and got a victory tonight.

With Edwin Díaz getting a breather after pitching in three of the last four games, Brazobán was summoned to close things out with a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth. He surrendered a game-tying solo homer to Max Muncy before ultimately striking out the side.

With Griffin Canning dealing with an illness, Brázoban will get the call in what figures to be a bullpen game. Brázoban has been good to start the season, allowing one run on six hits in 11 1/3 innings with nine strikeouts and two walks. He has not thrown more than 2 1/3 innings in any appearance so far this season, so the Mets will hope to get two or three innings from him today and then finish the game with the rest of the bullpen.
