Cruz goes into the spot previously occupied by Yerry De Los Santos. He had a 3.00 ERA, two saves and nine holds in 32 appearances before suffering a strained oblique at the end of June, but he’ll have to work his way back up the depth chart to get into high leverage situations in a crowded Yankees pen.

Cruz isn’t a factor in fantasy with Devin Williams and Luke Weaver ahead of him in the Yankees bullpen pecking order, but he’s been a crucial piece of New York’s bullpen puzzle so far.

Devin Williams worked in back-to-back games Monday and Tuesday, so the Yankees gave their stopper a break. He did put the tying run on base, but he was able to keep Kansas City off the board and pick up his first save of the season. It wouldn’t be a huge shock if it was his last.
