Durbin is expected to be ready for spring training. The 25-year-old showed a steady bat and improved his defense as 2025 went along, so there’s little doubt that he’ll stick as the Brewers’ third baseman to begin 2026.

Durbin was one of the few bright spots for Milwaukee in this one as they were shut down by a Dodgers starter for the third consecutive contest to open the best-of-seven series. The 25-year-old infielder smacked a one-out triple against Tyler Glasnow and scored Milwaukee’s lone run in the second inning. He’s batting .280 (7-for-25) with two RBI and two steals in eight games this postseason.

Durbin opened the scoring in the ballgame with an RBI single off of Yusei Kikuchi in the fourth inning. He then tied the game at two runs apiece as he greeted Jose Fermin with a two-out, RBI single in the sixth inning. The 25-year-old infielder has held his own in his rookie campaign, slashing .265/.341/.402 with 11 homers, 52 RBI and 16 stolen bases over 472 plate appearances.

Durbin got the Brewers on the board with a 359-foot (93.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Miles Mikolas in the fourth inning. The 25-year-old infielder also led off the second inning with a double, but he was left stranded there. With his two-hit attack, Durbin is now slashing .262/.337/.402 with 11 homers, 49 RBI and 15 stolen bases (21 attempts) over 460 plate appearances on the year.

The 25-year-old third baseman hit a solo home run off Robbie Ray in the fifth inning, it was his eighth of the season. Durbin’s home run was his third in 22 games in August. He’s hitting .249 with a .703 OPS and 44 RBI this year, and hasn’t attempted enough stolen bases to be a worthwhile fantasy contributor.

Durbin was responsible for both runs for the Brew Crew, as he doubled in a run off Tyler Glasnow in the fifth, and then homered off Kirby Yates two innings later. The 25-year-old rookie has been excellent in July and now has his slash up to a respectable — if not awe-inspiring — .265/.350/.382 slash over 75 games.

Durbin scored to tie the game in the third inning on a sacrifice fly and put the Brewers ahead with an RBI single in the fourth inning. The 25-year-old infielder was on base three times and stole two bases, giving him eight in 67 games this year. Durbin is hitting .257 with a .705 OPS and 31 RBI this season.

Durbin smacked a one-out single off of Andrew Heaney in the third inning and on the very next pitch rode home on a two-run blast by Joey Ortiz. Durbin then clobbered a 387-foot (103.8 mph EV) three-run shot in the fourth inning that made it a 5-0 ballgame. With his two-hit attack, the 25-year-old rookie infielder is now slashing .236/.320/.351 with four homers, 29 RBI and six stolen bases on the year.

The Padres decided against using Robert Suarez in a tie game in the ninth, and Durbin immediately walked it off with a homer off David Morgan, who was making his fifth big-league appearance. It was Durbin’s second career homer. He’s batting .302 with seven doubles and eight RBI in his last 14 games.

Durbin plated two runs with one of the doubles, so the sac fly with runners on second and third and no outs in the 10th made three RBI on the day. It’s pretty incredible that Durbin has 21 RBI while hitting .210/.294/.303 in 38 games for the Brewers. That’s just three RBI fewer than William Contreras has managed in 53 games. It’s three times as many as Joey Ortiz has in 55 games. Durbin’s status as a regular still might come into jeopardy at some point, but that he’s done so much better work with men on than with the bases empty means he’s thus far been quite a bit more valuable to the Brewers than his 0.1 bWAR or -0.3 fWAR (coming into today) suggests.

Durbin reached in every plate appearance against the Pirates on Saturday. He drove in the team’s only run of the game with a base hit in the second inning. Durbin added two more hits and was hit by a pitch to lead off the ninth. The 25-year-old third baseman has mostly struggled this season, slashing .210/.294/.286 with one homer, 16 RBI, and four steals across 121 plate appearances.

Durbin will take a seat for the matinee against the Giants with Vinny Capra getting the start at third base and hitting eighth. In 25 plate appearances, Durbin has hit .261/.320/.435 since being promoted from Nashville.

Durbin’s homer left the bat at 100.1 mph and was projected at 375 feet. He’s probably not going to contribute much in the round-tripper department, but if he’s productive enough to remain in the Brewers lineup, his stolen base ability will likely result in some mixed-league value.

A very solid MLB debut for Durbin. The 25-year-old singled twice and came around to score on a fielder’s choice from Christian Yelich. Durbin is going to see regular playing time with the Brew Crew, and his speed makes him worthy of a speculative add in formats that allow for a deeper roster field.

That had been the expectation, but it’s nice to hear Murphy actually spell it out. The 25-year-old infielder had been hitting .278/.316/.482 with a pair of homers and three stolen bases at Triple-A Nashville. Given his speed and the Brewers’ aggressiveness on the basepaths, it’s very possible that Durbin becomes a useful middle infield option from a fantasy perspective.

He goes into Oliver Dunn’s roster spot. Durbin was off to a decent start in Triple-A, hitting .278/.316/.482 with two homers and three steals in five attempts, and the Brewers will probably give him a real shot at third base here. It’s possible he’ll steal enough bases to be useful in mixed leagues, but his average and power numbers will likely be pretty modest.

The Brewers have already optioned INF Oliver Dunn to Triple-A to make room for Durbin. The 25-year-old has a .797 OPS with Nashville over his 54 at-bats, and he’s homered twice while stealing three bases in that timeframe. Durbin should get playing time, but it’s reasonable to question his fantasy impact potential.
