Farmer’s homer was the sixth of the season and brought in the only run the Rockies would score off a surprisingly effective Eduardo Rodriguez. The veteran infielder got off to a nice start to his 2025 season, but even after this solid game he’s hitting a less-than-desirable .227/.280/.360. He’s the definition of a player who provides more real-life value than fantasy.

Now that the Rockies have stopped giving Nick Martini at-bats, we can move on to complaining about how they continue to play Farmer so much. The 34-year-old hit .362/.404/.532 in his first 15 games with the team. Since then, he’s come in at .178/.210/.287 in 32 appearances. He has zero upside, and he’s not even a particularly good defender. Especially following the nearly-as-pointless Orlando Arcia signing, there’s just no reason for Farmer to be on the roster.

Farmer was responsible for all three hits for the Rockies in another ugly offensive performance for the Rockies. He can’t be traded until June, but the 34-year-old will definitely be a potential target due to his versatility this summer.
