We’re going to guess it’s been quite a while since Jameson Taillon struck out the same batter three times in a game, but he did today. He got Greene three times and the rest of the Tigers lineup twice. It feels like something will eventually have to give with Greene, who is having an excellent season in spite a 32% strikeout rate. He might be able to get that down, but if he doesn’t, there’s little chance of him maintaining his current .272 average.
