The Jays only outhit the Red Sox 10-9, but they bunched theirs together, going 4-for-4 with RISP. Boston was 1-for-8 in those situations. Guerrero tops the majors with a .358 average, though Ildemaro Vargas is at .370 and is about to qualify for the list. He’s hit just two homers, but those should start to come. He has 12 barrels, putting him slightly ahead of his career rate in that category.

Guerrero Jr. smoked a two-run shot off Reid Detmers to give Toronto a 2-1 lead in the third frame. The 27-year-old has only homered twice in the first three weeks of the season, but it’s hard to complain too much about a hitter slashing .354/.442/.488 in his 21 games. Not many hitters have the ability to make that a sustainable slash for more than a week or two. Guerrero is one of them.

Vladdy Jr. was one of several Blue Jays to have a big game Sunday, as Toronto was able to put up eight runs in the first inning. With the three hits, Guerrero now has a slash of .333/.429/.436. Everything but the slugging percentage is pleasing to the eye, and it’s only a matter of time until that ticks up.

Guerrero said he caught his left index finger in the runner’s jersey. Fortunately, it seems disaster was averted. Guerrero was 1-for-4 with an RBI tonight.

Guerrero’s double scored Ernie Clement in the top of the 10th, and he came around to score on a two-run double from Myles Straw to cement the win for the Jays. Guerrero drove in a run earlier in the game as well to bring his RBI total up to seven, and that relatively low total has more to do with who has been hitting in front of him than anything he’s done wrong. He’s off to a very strong start with the stick, and there isn’t much reason to think he’s going to cool off soon, or ever, really.

Guerrero Jr. got on the board with his first home run of the season on Saturday, a two-run blast off Anthony Kay in the sixth inning that travelled 437 feet at 108.5 mph off the bat. The 27-year-old star third baseman is 8-for-28 with three runs and four RBI through eight games.

On top of the two hits, Guerrero also drew a pair of walks. He’s come out swinging to begin 2026 — well, swinging and working free passes — and over the first five games of the season, he’s slashing .375/.543/.375. The only “complaint” would be a lack of power, but fantasy managers know that’s coming.

The homer off Nick Martinez was Guerrero’s first in Jays camp after he hit two in the World Baseball Classic. He’s 8-for-18 with four walks and just one strikeout in his eight Grapefruit League games.

Guerrero went back-to-back with Davis Schneider to leadoff the game and give the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead. His second free pass was a wild pitch that allowed a run to score. The 26-year-old superstar has gotten on base at a .506 clip with an .831 slugging percentage while homering eight times in the postseason, and he’s how helped Toronto get to within one win of their first World Series title in 32 years.

With the victory, Toronto evens the Fall Classic at two games apiece with Game 5 on tap for Wednesday evening in Los Angeles before the series shifts back to Canada. Guerrero put the Blue Jays ahead for good in this one when he took Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani deep in the third inning. It was his seventh round-tripper of the playoffs. The 26-year-old franchise cornerstone is batting .419 (26-for-62) this postseason and has the Blue Jays within two games of their first title in 32 years.

Guerrero’s postseason for the ages continued in the ALCS as he tormented Seattle’s pitching staff throughout the the best-of-seven series to help the Blue Jays punch their ticket back to the World Series for the first time since 1993. The 26-year-old generational talent has served as Toronto’s primary offensive catalyst throughout the postseason, batting .442 (19-for-43) with six homers and 12 RBI so far. The Blue Jays will square off against the defending World Series champion Dodgers in Game 1 of the Fall Classic on Friday night at the Rogers Centre.

The 26-year-old offensive catalyst is batting .469 (15-for-33) with 11 RBI this postseason.

The Toronto bats showed up, finally. After flailing for two games at home, the Blue Jays hit five homers in Wednesday’s blowout win, with Guerrero launching a blast off George Kirby to extend their lead to 7-2. The right-handed hitting first baseman has homered four times in the postseason with a slash of .464/.515/.964. Guerrero and the Blue Jays will now have a chance to even the series in Game 4 against the Mariners on Thursday, with Luis Castillo on the bump for Seattle against Max Scherzer for Toronto.

With the win, the Blue Jays have clinched a spot in the American League Championship Series. Guerrero played a massive part in that series win, as he hit .529/.550/1.029 while driving in a whopping nine runs over the four-game series. The 26-year-old will be back in action against either Seattle or Detroit on Sunday, with that game taking place in Toronto regardless of opponent.

Guerrero’s postseason power surge feels less like a hot streak and more like a suspension of reality. He opened the scoring with his third homer in as many games — a gargantuan 427-foot moonshot to left field off Yankees starter Carlos Rodón in the first inning. He also drew an international walk and motored around to score on Ernie Clement’s third-inning single as Toronto raced out to an early lead before New York eventually rallied to stave off elimination.

The Jays had already carved out a 5-0 lead through the first three frames when Guerrero put it completely out of reach with his 415-foot (110.7 mph EV) grand slam off of Will Warren in the fourth. The 26-year-old slugger also singled twice in the ballgame and scored a pair of runs, finishing the ballgame 3-for-5. The Jays will now head to New York just one win away from securing their spot in the American League Championship Series.

The 26-year-old slugger opened the scoring in the home half of the first inning, crushing a 2-1 changeup from Luis Gil for a 367-foot (101.2 mph EV) solo shot that gave the Jays an early 1-0 lead that they’d never relinquish. He also added on with a sacrifice fly during a four-run uprising in the seventh inning and a single in the eighth inning. The Jays will now look to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series on Saturday against Yankees’ southpaw Max Fried.

Guerrero’s two-run double in the fifth inning put the Blue Jays up 5-2. Toronto would go on to win 8-5 and clinch the AL East division. The 26-year-old first baseman had driven in just two runs in his last nine games entering play Sunday. He’s hitting .299 with an .870 OPS and 83 RBI on the season.

Guerrero has been an on base machine lately. He never recorded an out in this game and has a .548 on-base percentage over his last seven games. His first hit helped push across the Blue Jays’ first run – and was scorched 115 mph – while his last hit brought home their final one. He’s approaching a .900 OPS in another outstanding season.

Guerrero has been an on-base machine lately. He never recorded an out in this game and has a .548 on-base percentage over his last seven games. His first hit helped push across the Blue Jays’ first run — and it was absolutely scorched at 115 mph — while his last hit brought home their final one. He’s approaching a robust .900 OPS in another outstanding season, despite an extremely slow start to the year.

Guerrero’s two-out single in the first inning started a three-run rally that more or less put the Yankees away early. He tacked on a solo home run – his 23rd of the season – in the fifth as the Jays began to finally break this game open and eventually run away with it. His .298 batting average is seventh-highest in the league and .888 OPS is tenth in what’s been another fantastic season.

Guerrero has struggled since returning from a hamstring injury, but he had some good luck tonight; his three hits had exit velocities ranging from 73 to 81 mph. He did hit the ball hard once, but it turned out to be a 107.2-mph groundout. Guerrero’s steal was his sixth of the year but first since July 11. It’s the third time this season that he’s scored three runs.

Guerrero went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Monday night against the Twins in his return to Toronto’s lineup following a five-game absence recovering from hamstring inflammation. The 26-year-old slugger will likely be limited to DH for at least a couple additional contests out of an abundance of caution.

Guerrero missed five starts with a hamstring issue. That he’s DHing tonight means that George Springer is playing the outfield for the first time since coming off the injured list nine days ago. It also means Addison Barger, who has mostly played right field of late, is out of the lineup for a second straight day. Ty France remains in there at first base.

It was the first time that Guerrero had appeared in a game since being pulled from Monday’s contest with inflammation in his hamstring. He was then replaced when the Jays took the field the following frame. Blue Jays’ skipper John Schneider told reporters after the game though that the 26-year-old slugger is expected to return to the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Twins.

There’s zero incentive for the Blue Jays to take any chances by rushing their primary offensive catalyst back too quickly from a hamstring injury that he suffered earlier this week. The 26-year-old generational talent was able to run the bases and take on-field batting practice earlier this weekend, which seems to suggest he’s close to making it back to the lineup. It’ll be Ty France taking over at the cold corner once again in his absence. There should be a definitive update on his status heading into Monday’s series opener against Minnesota.

Guerrero remains in a holding pattern for the moment as he’s been held out of action since suffering a hamstring injury during Monday’s game against the Pirates. The 26-year-old generational talent underwent a precautionary MRI that didn’t reveal any structural damage. He’s dealing with some lingering inflammation and is presumably day-to-day heading into Sunday’s series finale in Miami. It’s possible he’ll require a trip to the injured list if he’s not progressing well heading into next week. He was able to do some running and take on-field batting practice prior to Friday’s series opener. It’ll be Ty France continuing to handle the cold corner in his absence.
