Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has flip-flopped Hernández, who snapped out of an early-series slump with a four-hit effort during Monday’s Game 3 extra-inning marathon, and Max Muncy on his lineup card as they prepare to face Blue Jays veteran Shane Bieber on Tuesday night in Los Angeles. The only other note here is that the Dodgers continue sticking with Andy Pages in center field despite the fact he’s batting .083 this postseason. Here’s the full lineup: Shohei Ohtani (DH), Mookie Betts (SS), Freddie Freeman (1B), Will Smtih (C), Hernández (RF), Muncy (3B), Tommy Edman (2B), Enrique Hernandez (LF) and Pages (CF).

Hernández put Los Angeles ahead in the second inning when he connected on a hanging slider from Blue Jays starter Max Scherzer, sending a majestic 412-foot blast down the left field line. It was a much-needed big fly for the veteran slugger after going 0-for-7 with five strikeouts in the first two contests of the Fall Classic. He also made an incredible throw in the 10th inning to cut down Davis Schneider at home plate to keep the contest tied.

Hernández atoned for a costly mistake on the basepaths in the series opener by taking Brewers ace Freddy Peralta deep for a pivotal game-tying homer in the second inning after the Dodgers fell behind in the opening frame. It was his fourth playoff round-tripper. The veteran slugger continues to display a propensity for lackluster defense and suboptimal baserunning while making up for it with timely homers in clutch situations.

Here’s the full lineup: Ohtani (DH), Betts (SS), Hernández (RF), Freeman (1B), Will Smith (C), Tommy Edman (2B), Max Muncy (3B), Enrique Hernández (LF) and Andy Pages (CF).

Hernández transformed a 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 advantage as he crushed a 1-0 fastball from Matt Strahm for a 394-foot (102.9 mph EV) three-run shot with two outs in the seventh inning. He struck out in each of his three other plate appearances in the ballgame yet still emerged as the offensive hero in the ballgame. The Dodgers will now look to take a commanding lead in the series on Monday evening in Philadelphia.

Hernández sat Sunday ahead of Monday’s off day. In spite of his struggles, he’s in his usual fifth spot in the order tonight. Maybe he’ll bat lower if he’s still slumping when Max Muncy returns.

Hernández took a Jeremiah Estrada offering out of the park to extend the Dodgers’ lead to 3-2. That’s the 19th homer on the season for Hernández, and he’s up to 72 RBI in 99 games. That’s the third homer of August for the 32-year-old, which is one more than he hit in all of July. It wouldn’t be a surprise at all if Hernández went on a hot run over the next few weeks. He’s tend to run hot-and-cold for most of his career.

Clinging to a one-run lead through the middle innings, Hernández provided some great insurance for the Dodgers with his two-run blast in the eighth inning. It was a shot too traveling 415 feet to straight away center field in Fenway Park. Despite missing some time due to injury earlier this season and a recent slump, Hernández has been his usually productive self with 15 homers and 61 RBI through 83 games played.

Hernández is batting .143 (4-for-28) with two extra-base hits and four RBI in seven games since returning from a three-game absence back on July 11 due to right foot soreness. The 32-year-old veteran slugger has been ice-cold at the dish since the start of June and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him sitting more often to get rookie Andy Pages in right field more often.

Hernández remains on the bench for the third straight contest as he continues to recover from left foot soreness. The 32-year-old slugging corner outfielder underwent precautionary imaging over the weekend that didn’t reveal any fractures. It’ll be Andy Pages continuing to patrol right field in his absence. There’s a chance he’s ready to return later this week, but we’re not anticipating the Dodgers taking any chances with the All-Star break looming.

The positive news for fantasy managers is that imaging on Sunday didn’t reveal any fractures in Hernández’s left foot and it sounds like he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. The 32-year-old slugging corner outfielder is dealing with some residual soreness after fouling a ball off his foot over the weekend. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him sit out a few additional games this week in the lead up to next week’s Midsummer Classic. It’ll be Andy Pages sliding over to cover right field with James Outman patrolling center field on Monday night in Milwaukee.

Hernández is out of the lineup for Sunday’s series finale and could wind up requiring some additional time off, even if he checks out completely fine. It’ll be speedster Estuery Ruiz patrolling right field and batting ninth on Sunday against the Astros in his absence. There should be a definitive update on the 32-year-old slugging corner outfielder’s status leading into Monday’s series opener in Milwaukee.

It appears to be a routine off day for Hernández with Andy Pages moving over to right field and Hyeseong Kim patrolling center field. The other notable change for Los Angeles is rookie Dalton Rushing handling the catching duties with Will Smith getting a well-deserved day off.

Hernández also singled, and had the only two hits for the Dodgers off of Logan Webb. The 32-year-old outfielder has gone deep 12 times; a number that’s more impressive when you remember it’s come in 55 games because of injury. It’s nice to see some success for Hernández after his awful start to the month of June, as this broke a 4-for-40 lull coming into Friday.
