Judge and Raleigh headline one of the most compelling AL MVP races in recent memory, with both franchise cornerstones building hardware-worthy cases. Raleigh crushed a major league-leading 60 home runs, shattering nearly every single-season offensive record imaginable for a catcher. Meanwhile, Judge is aiming to capture the award for the third time in four years after eclipsing the 50-homer plateau once again and finishing with a major league-best .331/.457/.688 slash line. Ramírez remains one of the game’s most underappreciated superstars, earning a top-three finish in MVP voting for the fourth time in his 13-year career. The winner will be announced on Thursday, November 13.

Judge, who recently underwent another MRI, was limited after suffering a flexor tendon strain in late July. If he went in to have it repaired, he’d almost certainly miss the start of 2026. “He’ll take some time off and continue to do strengthening things and rehab stuff,” Boone said.

Judge told reporters following New York’s elimination from the postseason that “we’ll definitely do some work on it and get it right.” The 33-year-old Yankees icon was diagnosed with a flexor strain in late July and was mostly limited to DH during the second half before returning to right field in the late stages of the season. There should be some clarity on his status and outlook heading into spring training at some point in the early stages of the offseason.

Judge also drew a walk. It’s a disappointing end to the season for the likely MVP, but the Yankees’ dismissal had little — if anything — to do with his play. He finished the postseason with a slash of .500/.581/.682 over his seven games while hitting one homer and driving in seven runs. Judge should be one of the first outfielders off the board come 2026, and remains as consistent an offensive threat as there is in baseball.

Judge finally delivered the kind of signature postseason moment every superstar is supposed to have when he connected for a game-tying homer off Blue Jays reliever Louis Varland in the fourth after scalding an RBI double the inning before. The 32-year-old generational talent’s first homer of the postseason ignited a comeback win and kept New York’s playoff hopes alive after dropping the first two games of the best-of-five series. The division rivals will square off in Game 4 on Wednesday evening at Yankee Stadium. It’ll be rookie Cam Schlittler taking the ball for the Pinstripes with Toronto likely rolling with a bullpen game.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone will not make any changes with New York facing Blue Jays rookie sensation Trey Yesavage following a lopsided series-opening defeat earlier this weekend. Here’s the full lineup: Trent Grisham (CF), Judge (RF), Cody Bellinger (LF), Ben Rice (1B), Giancarlo Stanton (DH), Jazz Chisholm Jr. (3B), Ryan McMahon (3B), Anthony Volpe (SS) and Austin Wells (C).

Judge took Orioles starter Tomoyuki Sugano deep in the opening frame — his fifth round-tripper in his last seven games — served as a tone-setter for Saturday afternoon’s eventual one-sided rout at Yankee Stadium. The 33-year-old generational talent also added a two-run single in the fifth inning to give the Yankees a commanding five-run advantage at the time. New York’s seventh consecutive victory puts them in position to potentially take home the AL East division title, depending on how Toronto fares against the Rays over the remainder of the weekend. The Yankees officially locked up a Wild Card playoff berth earlier this week.

Judge muscled up a sinker that was up-and-in from Jonathan Cannon for his first homer of the game and then reached for a fastball on the outer half for his second off Cam Booser. Objectively speaking, neither were bad pitches. Judge is just that good. This is the third time in four seasons he’s crossed the 50-homer threshold and is red-hot heading into the playoffs with eight long balls and a 1.495 OPS over his last 15 games.

Judge is one homer away from a fourth 50-homer campaign. His two runs scored tonight increased his AL-leading total to 129. Five more in the Yankees’ final seven games would overtake his career-high total of 133 from his 62-homer season in 2022.

Judge finds himself in right field for back-to-back contests for the second time since returning from the injured list back in early August. The additional time in the outfield should open up some additional at-bats at DH for Giancarlo Stanton, although he’s been mired in a bit of a slump lately.

This will be Judge’s first time playing back-to-back days in the field since returning from the injured list with his elbow injury. If Judge is able to settle in as the regular right fielder again, that will open up DH at-bats for Giancarlo Stanton again and possibly create more playing time for Jasson Dominguez or Paul Goldschmidt, who have shifted into more part-time roles.

Judge ambushed a first-pitch fastball from Garrett Crochet in the fifth inning, crushing a 400-foot (112.7 mph EV) solo shot that moved the Yankees to within three runs at 6-3. He also led off the eighth inning with a single but never advanced past first base. Judge has been on a tear over the past few weeks and is now slashing a ridiculous .326/.447/.678 with 48 long balls and 102 RBI in what has been another unbelievable season.

Judge’s home run was his 47th of the year. His first-inning solo shot against Red Sox starter Lucas Giolito left Fenway Park entirely, traveling 468 feet, per Statcast. Judge’s three home runs in the last two games have helped spark back-to-back Yankees victories. He’s hitting .323 with a 1.117 OPS and 101 RBI on the season.

Judge got the scoring started with a 413-foot (110.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Tyler Holton in the home half of the first inning. He then clobbered a 434-foot (114.9 mph EV) solo homer off of Sawyer Gipson-Long to start the third inning, increasing the Yankees’ lead to 4-1. That homer tied him with Joe DiMaggio for fourth place on the Yankees’ all-time home run list at 361. Judge was also hit by a pitch in the fourth inning and scored on a two-run single by Jazz Chisholm Jr. He finished the night 3-for-4 with three runs scored and is now slashing a Herculean .322/.443/.669 with 46 homers and 100 RBI on the season. It’s the fourth time in his career — and third time in the last four seasons — that Judge has eclipsed the 100-RBI plateau.

Judge opened the scoring in the ballgame with an opposite-field, 412-foot (110.6 mph EV) solo shot off of Casey Mize in the opening inning. That would be his only hit on the evening. The 33-year-old slugger is having another unbelievable season at the dish, slashing .321/.442/.660 with 44 homers, 98 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 597 plate appearances. He’ll duke it out with Cal Raleigh at season’s end for American League MVP honors.

Judge finds himself back in right field for the third time in the last four contests, which is a welcome development for fantasy managers rostering veteran slugger Giancarlo Stanton, who is in the lineup at DH for the second straight game.

It’s his second appearance back in the outfield over the last three games. Judge still has to answer some questions from a defensive standpoint concerning his throwing ability as he continues to work his way back to full strength from an elbow issue. However, the Yankees appear committed to giving him chances to play in right field again, which helps get veteran slugger Giancarlo Stanton’s bat in the lineup at DH on a more consistent basis.

Judge is back at DH with Cody Bellinger patrolling right field in this one after making his return to right field on Friday night at Yankee Stadium. He was involved in a bizarre play during the opening frame of Friday’s contest when he elected not to throw home with Daulton Varsho attempting to score from second base on a single to right field. Yankees manager Aaron Boone deflected when asked about the play following the game. The 33-year-old’s elbow may not be 100 percent and it sure seems like he’s going to spend a considerable amount of time at DH over the final three-plus weeks. It’s a hit to Giancarlo Stanton’s fantasy value since he would be the most likely to continue losing at-bats.

Giancarlo Stanton is back at DH, and his fantasy value should get a boost as he can return to playing nearly every day without having to take the field, assuming that Judge’s elbow holds up. Judge last played the outfield on July 25. He went on the IL with a flexor strain afterwards, and he’d been limited to DH duties since returning on Aug. 5.

The double was about a foot away from being a second home run. Judge finishes up his worst month of the season at .241/.417/.506 with six homers in 24 games. It’s not exactly a disaster.

He was also hit by a pitch. Judge’s homer was smashed 424 feet off Cade Cavalli. It was his fourth in 20 games since he returned from an elbow injury. He’s batting a human .217/.386/.435 this month, but things seem to be turning around now.

Boone added that the decision is in the hands of the training staff. There was a media kerfuffle earlier this week when Boone made some comments, which he later took back, regarding Judge’s diminished ability to throw the ball. The lingering elbow issue hasn’t impacted his performance at the dish as he crushed his 40th round-tripper of the season during Tuesday’s rout of the Rays. His ongoing throwing limitations limit him to DH with Giancarlo Stanton spending more time on the bench than usual as a result.

The 33-year-old superstar opened the scoring in the top half of the first inning with a 429-foot (112.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Shane Baz — the first of the Yankees’ nine total home runs in the ballgame. Judge then drew a walk in the fourth inning and rode home on a three-run blast by Giancarlo Stanton. He also singled to open the sixth inning and scored on Cody Bellinger’s two-run shot. It’s the fourth time in his career that Judge has eclipsed the 40-homer plateau. He’s slashing a blistering .333/.447/.691 with the aforementioned 40 long balls, 92 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season.

Judge also doubled in a run. The homer is the 39th of the season for the 33-year-old, and his second since coming off the injured list August 5. Judge also drew a pair of walks to improve his line to a sensational .333/.445/.689. The fact that’s down from where it was a month ago is the opposite of an insult.

Judge had gone without a homer in his first six games back from his elbow injury, but he’s up to 38 for the season now. The steal was his first since June 11; he was 6-for-9 there in his first 66 games, but he hadn’t even attempted one in his last 43 games.

Boone refused to divulge a specific target date for Judge to return to right field, but added that his throwing program is moving in a “pretty good direction” as he continues his recovery from a flexor strain in his right elbow. He’s been limited to DH since returning from the injured list earlier this week. It’s a significant development for fantasy purposes since freeing up the DH spot would get Giancarlo Stanton back in the lineup more frequently.
