Since the Mets also lost, the Reds won the final NL Wild Card in spite of the defeat. Jansen’s homer off Brady Singer in the fourth gave the Brewers a 3-2 lead. Jansen is 5-for-9 with two homers and three walks in his last three starts, putting him at .254/.346/.433 in 25 games since being acquired by the Brewers.
