Johnson was last seen in the majors striking out five in two scoreless innings on Aug. 4. The Phillies then sent him down the next day and never brought him back. The 27-year-old averaged 98.2 mph with his fastball today, which was up one mph from his 10 major league outings last season. Johnson has made the conversion from starter to a relief role seamlessly this season, registering a serviceable 4.91 ERA and 42/21 K/BB ratio across 33 innings (16 appearances) at the Triple-A level. The 26-year-old was a notable pitching prospect a couple years ago with the Orioles, but he’s unlikely to make an impact for fantasy purposes operating in long relief.
