Kirby struck out eight and walked two while throwing 65 percent of his pitches for strikes and posting an 11 percent swinging strike rate. Kirby leaned heavily on his sinker against righties, throwing just three four-seamers all game, and was able to miss bats with his sweeper and changeup consistently. He did struggle to put hitters away in two-strike counts with a 14 percent PutAway Rate on the day, which is well below his 19 percent career mark. The right-hander will look to be more consistent next time out, next week against the Braves.

Kirby struck out two batters on the night while issuing one free pass. All of the damage done against him came on a two-out, two-run single off the bat of Masyn Winn in the fourth inning. The 28-year-old hurler got 11 whiffs on 81 pitches on the night — six of them on his slider — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. He now sports a terrific 2.97 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and a 29/9 K/BB ratio over 39 1/3 innings through his first 39 1/3 innings. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling when he takes on the Twins in Minnesota on Wednesday.

It’s the first win for Seattle over Texas in their five games, and the third win of the season for Kirby. He did allow 10 balls in play that registered as hard hits, but he was able to strike out five while generating a strong 14 swings and misses before exiting in the sixth. Kirby’s command still isn’t at the level we’ve grown accustomed to seeing, but it’s nice to see some whiffs. He’ll gets the Cardinals in St. Louis on Friday.

Kirby struck out six. His one walk was issued to the last batter he faced in the eighth, Yordan Alvarez. Kirby has averaged 97 mph with his fastballs and sinkers in back-to-back starts. He did that a total of once last year, on Aug. 17 against the Mets. He’s still not missing as many bats as usual, but his groundball rate is way up, which should help with his ERA. He’s 2-2 with a 3.25 ERA right now, and he’s due to face the Rangers next.

Kirby worked four scoreless innings before running into trouble in the fifth. Two hits brought a run in and left a runner on for Kyle Higashioka, who took Kirby deep for a two-run blast to give the Rangers the lead. Kirby would complete three more scoreless frames, completing eight innings before the Rangers closed the door on Seattle in the top of the ninth. Kirby threw 68 of 90 pitches for strikes, walking no batters, and generated a ton of contact with 12 groundouts. He struck out four. Overall, it was a nice bounce-back for the 28-year-old right-hander. Kirby lines up for a start against the Astros in Seattle next Monday.

Kirby was not his sharpest here, but still practically got through a quality start with just one run on his ledger. That is, until he served up a belt-high fastball to Paul Goldschmidt that he parked in the seats. He probably deserved that though because he struggled with his command all afternoon. With that, he only forced six swings-and-misses while the Yankee bats were all over him with nine hard-hit balls among the 15 they put in play. He’ll have a chance to get back on track next time out against the Rangers.

Kirby scattered just two hits on the evening while issuing a pair of free passes. The only blemish on his night came on a solo home run to Chase DeLauter in the opening inning, after that he was brilliant. Kirby got eight whiffs on 90 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll look to extend his winning streak to two when he takes on the Yankees at home on Wednesday.

Kirby put together a phenomenal spring, flashing an uptick in velocity, and will get the ball after Logan Gilbert takes his turn on Opening Day at T-Mobile Park. He’ll be followed by Bryan Woo and Emerson Hancock over the weekend before Luis Castillo makes his season debut against the Yankees on Monday.

Kirby was feeling it in the Arizona heat tonight, touching 99.7 mph and averaging 97.4 mph with his fastball. His spring average coming into this one was 96.3 mph, which was essentially a match for his mark of 96.2 mph last year. Kirby doesn’t necessarily need the extra velocity to be an excellent fantasy starter, but it sure wouldn’t hurt. Kirby is lined up to be slotted in between Logan Gilbert and Bryan Woo in the rotation and to make his season debut Friday against the Guardians.

Kirby wriggled out of a first-inning jam by striking out Tyler Stephenson before coaxing a harmless ground out from Noelvi Marte to extinguish the threat. He finished with four strikeouts, only issued one walk, and got his pitch count to 67 — 45 of them for strikes. The 28-year-old’s strong spring has seemingly cemented his status as a top-15 range fantasy starter in drafts this spring.

Kirby continues to look sharp this spring despite Seattle’s pitching staff adjusting to life without All-Star catcher Cal Raleigh behind the plate due to the World Baseball Classic. He struck out two and issued just one walk, needing an efficient 55 pitches (35 strikes) to complete three innings. It’s an encouraging sign to see the 28-year-old fantasy stalwart progressing through a normal ramp-up this spring after shoulder inflammation sidelined him at the start of last year.

Kirby feels like a classic rebound candidate. His 3.88 xERA last season aligned closely with his established baseline, while the 4.21 ERA — the worst of his four-year career — arrived alongside shoulder issues that limited him to a career-low 23 starts. The underlying profile didn’t collapse; the surface results just drifted in the wrong direction. At 28, he profiles as the type of arm the market temporarily overthinks before quietly rediscovering. Expect him to settle back into the top-15 starter tier this spring — the kind of bet that feels less like chasing upside and more like trusting mathematics.

Kirby missed time with a shoulder injury in 2025 and pitched to a 4.21 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 137/29 K/BB ratio in 126 innings. Kirby had pitched at least 190 innings in each of the two previous seasons with an ERA in the mid-3s. He has not really developed as a strikeout arm, but he is a good bet to produce good ratios on a winning team, which makes him a solid option in fantasy baseball leagues.

Kirby served up a run-scoring single to Daulton Varsho with two outs in the opening frame but managed to keep Toronto off the scoreboard for the remainder of his outing. He finished with three strikeouts and only issued one walk. The 27-year-old righty was long gone from the contest before Seattle’s late-inning collapse.

Kirby was good for the first two innings. He was dreadful from that point on, allowing five runs in the third; including a two-run homer to Andres Giménez, of all people. The right-hander was excellent against Detroit, but this is what happens when Kirby doesn’t have his best command. He still likely gets the ball in Game 7, if necessary,

Rather than risk Castillo in a road start, the Mariners will have him pitch just once at home in the ALCS. Kirby will be lined up for a potential Game 7, though the Mariners will have some options with Bryan Woo’s return giving them five starters.

Kirby was overshadowed by the spectacular results from Tarik Skubal, but he kept Seattle in this game and then some. The right-hander struck out six and didn’t issue a walk while throwing 44-of-66 pitches for strikes. He’ll likely get the nod in Game 3 or Game 4 in Seattle against the Blue Jays next week.

Mariners manager Dan Wilson made it official that Kirby will get the ball for Friday’s series-deciding contest at T-Mobile Park. The 27-year-old ace struck out eight and allowed two runs over five innings last Sunday in Game 1 of the best-of-five series. He’ll square off against Tigers ace Tarik Skubal with a trip to the ALCS against the Blue Jays on the line.

The 27-year-old right-hander walked one batter on the evening while punching out eight. He kept the Tigers off the board completely through the first four innings until he allowed a two-out, two-run blast to Kerry Carpenter in the fifth inning. Kirby generated 16 swings and misses on 94 pitches on the night — nine of them on his slider — while posting a strong CSW of 31 percent. He’ll be ready and waiting to take the ball again should the series get pushed to a decisive Game 5 in Seattle on Friday.

Aside from Enrique Hernández’s 386-foot homer, Kirby was pretty stellar tonight, striking out 10 for the third time this season. He’ll head into October with a 10-8 record, a 4.21 ERA and a 137/29 K/BB in 126 innings. The Mariners would have had a tough call in setting their rotation in a three-game Wild Card series, but there’s little doubt that Kirby will join Bryan Woo (if healthy), Logan Gilbert and Luis Castillo in a four-man rotation in the ALDS.

Kirby struck out seven and walked none in his fourth scoreless start of the season. There still hasn’t been any sort of consistency here, but at least in the postseason, should they get there, the Mariners can be more aggressive as they figure out whether they have good Kirby or bad Kirby on any given night. Kirby could make his next start Thursday against the Rockies or Friday versus the Dodgers.

Kirby scattered just three hits on the day and didn’t walk a batter. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Christian Moore launching a solo homer in the fifth and Oswald Peraza crushing a solo shot in the sixth inning. Kirby generated 17 swings and misses on 101 pitches on the day — 11 of them on his fastball — while posting an elite CSW of 37 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 4.46 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and a 120/28 K/BB ratio (115 innings) into Saturday’s divisional showdown against the Astros in Houston.

Kirby tossed a clean first inning, then surrendered two runs on three straight hits to start the second. A walk and two hits brought a third run in to score in the fourth before Kirby escaped with the bases loaded at 85 pitches. That would end the day for the 27-year-old right-hander. He struck out two. Kirby will take a 4.56 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a 106/28 K/BB ratio across 108 2/3 innings into a start against the Angels in Seattle on Sunday.

Kirby gave up six hits, walked none and struck out six. The 27-year-old right-hander allowed two runs with both coming on solo home runs. Kyle Manzardo hit a solo home run off Kirby in the sixth inning and Nolan Jones followed suit in the seventh inning. Kirby was in line for the win before Andres Munoz blew the save. He has a 3.94 ERA and 103/26 K/BB ratio in 102 2/3 innings this year. Kirby is lined up to face the Rays on the road next week.

Kirby did his part in spite of a 3/3 K/BB, but the Mariners offense didn’t do its part in the bargain tonight. As a result, Kirby remains 3-3 with a 4.05 ERA. He’ll likely prove effective again next week against the Guardians.

Yikes. Kirby also uncharacteristically issued three walks in the ballgame while striking out four. The Mets scratched out three runs against him in the second inning to take an early lead, then they piled on as Mark Vientos crushed a three-run homer in the fifth inning and Franciso Lindor added an RBI “double” that Julio Rodriguez simply missed in center field. The 27-year-old hurler got eight swings and misses on 97 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll try to put this one behind him and move on as he carries a 4.12 ERA,1.17 WHIP and a 94/23 K/BB ratio (89 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Athletics.

Kirby was sensational, throwing 57-of-87 pitches for strikes and not issuing a walk. He allowed only three hits — just one of those for extra bases — and took advantage of the struggling Baltimore lineup while generating 12 swings and misses. Kirby’s ERA is now down to 3.71, and it’s worth noting it was hovering much higher than that not long ago. It’s also worth noting his next start comes in Williamsport when he faces the Mets in the Little League classic.

Kirby was shaky early on, as he gave up runs in the second and third inning. From that point on, the 27-year-old was dominant, and had the White Sox off-balance with both his fastball and knuckle-curve. He still hasn’t shown the same elite control he did prior to his injury, but the swing-and-miss stuff has made up for it for the most part. Kirby will look to keep lowering his 4.04 ERA against the Orioles on Tuesday.

Kirby did issue two walks as his control just hasn’t been nearly as good in 2025 as it has been in the past, but he was able to work around those free passes while allowing just three hits. The 27-year-old has now allowed just two runs in his last 12 innings to lower his ERA to 4.13; a number that is really inflated by two bad starts to begin his year. Kirby is obviously a must-start for his scheduled bout with the White Sox in Seattle on Tuesday.
