Leibrandt holds an underwhelming 6.44 FIP and 11.8 percent strikeout rate across 15 1/3 big-league innings from 2020-2024. The 33-year-old southpaw spent last season in the Yankees’ system, compiling a 2.85 ERA — 4.62 FIP — 1.12 WHIP and 37/14 K/BB ratio across 41 innings at the Triple-A level. He made two relief appearances for Cincinnati back in 2024 and should have a chance to compete for a bullpen role in spring training.

The 32-year-old southpaw has an agreement in place to sign with the CTBC Brothers of Taiwan’s Chinese Professional Baseball League, so the Yankees let him out of his minor league deal. Leibrandt had posted a 2.85 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and a 37/14 K/BB ratio over 41 innings in his 10 appearances (nine starts).
