Lindor didn’t miss any time during the season because of an elbow ailment. The cleanup surgery shouldn’t prevent him from being ready for the start of spring training.

The Reds lost to the Brewers on Sunday afternoon, so all the Mets needed to do was beat the Marlins to secure the final Wild Card berth in the National League. They couldn’t muster a single run in the ballgame. Lindor did his part, with a double and a pair of walks in three plate appearances, but it simply wasn’t enough. The 31-year-old shortstop concludes his 2025 season hitting .267/.346/.466 with 31 homers, 86 RBI and 31 stolen bases in what was another outstanding all-around campaign.

Lindor got the Mets off to a fast start with a lead-off home run off Sandy Alcantara. Then he stung a ball in his next at-bat, but lined into a double play. He hit the ball hard again later on, but had nothing to show for it. Don’t let his team’s catastrophic second half failure distract from the fact that Lindor put up his second 30-30 season in three years and once again returned first round value.

Lindor’s home run was his 30th of the season. He hit a solo shot off Shota Imanaga in the third inning. It’s the third year in a row and sixth time in his career that he’s reached the 30 home run plateau. Lindor is hitting .267 with an .805 OPS and 84 RBI this year.

Lindor knocked a base hit in the first inning and was caught stealing second. He then drew a walk in the third before hitting a double in the fifth and getting caught stealing for a second time. Lindor collected his third hit with a double in the ninth and scored on a wild pitch. The 31-year-old shortstop is hitting .270/.344/.464 with 26 homers, 99 runs scored, 77 RBI, and 28 steals across 642 plate appearances.

The Mets had an offensive explosion in this one. They put up 21 hits and 10 runs in total as every single member of their starting lineup had at least one hit before the fourth inning was over. Lindor helped to ignite this onslaught with his three hits and two steals. Three of his four balls in play were hard-hit and he’s unbelievably locked in right now at the plate. Over his last 10 games, he’s 22-for-44 with four home runs. He’s jumped up from a .735 OPS to a .797 OPS in that span, which is hard to believe this late in the season.

Lindor led off the home half of the first inning with a single but was picked off of first base. He singled in the fourth inning but was left stranded at second base. Lindor then smacked a two-out RBI “double” in the sixth that was a routine fly ball to center field that Julio Rodriguez simply missed. With his three-hit night, the 31-year-old shortstop is now hitting .259/.327/.455 to go along with 24 homers, 71 RBI and 20 stolen bases.

Lindor brought the Mets’ first run home with a double in the third inning. He added a base hit and a stolen base in the seventh. That’s now four straight multi-hit games as Lindor has fully broken out of his slump. The 31-year-old shortstop is slashing .255/.324/.451 with 24 homers, 82 runs scored, 70 RBI, and 20 steals across 549 plate appearances.

Lindor is finally heating up. He had hits in his first three at-bats including a lead-off home run and the first of back-to-back shots with Juan Soto in the fourth inning. Yet, it was still not enough for the Mets to get off the schneid. Nevertheless, Lindor has eight hits in his last three games and has raised his OPS by 40 points in that span.

Lindor’s 22nd homer of the season came off Bryce Elder in the third inning. His 19th steal came in the sixth, and he came around to score on a sac fly from Brandon Nimmo. After an awful July, Lindor has been better — but not elite — in August with a slash of .238/.373/.381 with two homers and a pair of steals.

Lindor’s home run was his 21st of the season. The 31-year-old shortstop hit a solo shot off Carson Whisenhunt in the first inning. The Mets wouldn’t enjoy that lead for long as they lost 12-4 to the Giants on Sunday. Lindor is hitting .251 with a .758 OPS and 64 RBI this year.

The first two runs batted in came on a squeeze bunt, which went for a hit, and a well-placed grounder, but the last two were on a ringing double. It’s his second four-RBI game of the year. He entered the day 10-for-67 with a 19/1 K/BB in his previous 15 games.

Neither single was hit hard, but both were nice liners to good spots. Lindor had gone hitless and walkless in six straight games, dropping his OBP to .313.

The home run was No. 19 on the season for Lindor. The 31-year-old shortstop hit a three-run home run off Taylor Clarke in the ninth inning to put the Mets up 7-3. Lindor also walked and ended up scoring the tying run in the eighth inning. He’s hitting .263 with an .800 OPS and 54 RBI on the year.

It’s kind of hard to believe, but it’s the first time Lindor has scored four runs in a game since 2018, when he did it twice for Cleveland. Scoring four runs isn’t a particularly rare feat; it tends to happen once or twice per week. It had been done 33 times this season, including once apiece by fellow Mets players Jesse Winker, Mark Vientos and Brandon Nimmo. Lindor has now scored 57 runs in 88 games this season, putting him on pace to top 100 for the third straight year.

In a rare start at designated hitter and his first game out of the lead-off spot in more than a calendar year, Lindor was a key contributor in a win the Mets absolutely had to have. After two two-out walks and an infield single against star rookie Jacob Misiorowski in the second inning, Brandon Nimmo and Lindor hit back-to-back home runs which gave the Mets an early 5-0 lead. Then, once the Brewers rallied to make this game close again, Lindor smacked a two-out, run-scoring double in the following inning. He provided more insurance with another two-out hit in the ninth. This was Lindor’s 10th three-hit game of the season, but first since way back on June 7th. Manager Carlos Mendoza flip-flopped Lindor and Nimmo atop the lineup to try and find a spark in what’s been a disastrous few weeks for the Mets. The plan worked and hopefully it helps the newly minted All-Star Lindor start a hot streak after struggling to a .628 OPS in June.

Lindor finally got the Mets on the board in this one with a 405-foot (104.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Max Lazar in the eighth inning, trimming their deficit to six runs at 7-1. The 31-year-old superstar shortstop also singled in the opening inning but was ultimately stranded at third base. With his two-hit attack, Lindor is now hitting .270/.342/.474 with 16 homers, 42 RBI and 13 stolen bases.

Lindor is 5-for-38 with no RBI in his last 10 games, and he’s been tumbling down the list of WAR leaders with the All-Star balloting in full swing. It seemed like a lock that this was the year he’d end his long All-Star drought — he last went with the Guardians in 2019, even though he’s finished ninth, ninth and second in the NL MVP balloting the last three years — but that might be in some doubt now. He is way out in front in the fan balloting, but since that’s done in stages now, he could win the first round and perhaps lose to Mookie Betts in the second. He also has to contend with Trea Turner outhitting him and Elly De La Cruz in the home run lead at the position.

Lindor’s first game back in the starting lineup was a successful one. The fractured pinkie toe clearly wasn’t bugging him too much, as he swiped a pair of bags to bring his total to 13 in 2025. Lindor may get some maintenance days to prevent aggravation, but it doesn’t appear that this injury will slow him down. Literally and figuratively.

Lindor returns to the lineup after not starting the previous two games while managing his fractured pinkie toe. The 31-year-old was able to return as a pinch-hitter Friday, but it’s possible he’ll get some maintenance days as he recovers from the injury.

This guy can really do it all. After being held out of the lineup for the last two games with a fractured pinky toe, manager Carlos Mendoza called on him with two on and two out in the eighth inning for the most important at-bat of the game. Lindor answered the call by smoking a double down the line to bring both Juan Soto and Pete Alonso home and give the Mets a late lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. Usually a slow starter, Lindor already has 14 home runs, 11 stolen bases, and an .852 OPS this season. He should be well on his way to an All-Star campaign if this broken toe doesn’t hold him out much longer.

The Mets are still considering it a day-to-day situation for Lindor, who figures to be available to pinch-hit, if needed. Manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters on Friday that he wouldn’t be surprised if the superstar shortstop was back in the lineup on Saturday or Sunday. Fantasy managers in leagues that utilize bi-weekly moves have a tough decision on their hands on whether to risk the zero by starting him or potentially miss a pair of games from Lindor at Coors Field over the weekend.

It was originally believed that Lindor was just receiving a day off Thursday, but unfortunately it is related to injury. The fracture occurred when the shortstop was hit in the foot in the first inning. The Mets are calling Lindor day-to-day, so there’s a good chance he’ll return to the lineup over the weekend. Luisangel Acuna will handle shortstop while Lindor is out.

Lindor bookended the scoring the Mets in the extra-inning win. He hit a leadoff homer to give the club a 1-0 lead off Dustin May, and then he extended New York’s lead to 4-2 with an RBI single in the 10th. Lindor also added his 11th steal on the season, and that pairs well with 14 homers and 36 RBI for the star shortstop.

Lindor was the engine for the Mets’ lineup here, starting the game off with a lead-off homer, scoring on a double from Juan Soto in the third, and then providing a valuable insurance run with his second long ball in the eighth. Possibly most impressively, his home runs came from each side of the plate. All four of his balls in play were hit at least 97 mph and he continues to prove himself as one of the most reliable players in the league.

New York’s lineup was completely flummoxed by former Met Adrian Houser for six frames to open the contest and didn’t break through until beleaguered superstar Juan Soto came through with a game-tying sacrifice fly in the eighth inning against lefty reliever Cam Booser. Lindor capitalized on his chance to be the hero in the ensuing frame, lifting a fly ball to deep right field with the bases loaded and nobody out, sending the Citi Field faithful home in dramatic fashion. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar is hitting .272/.347/.455 with 10 homers and 10 steals through 53 games.
