Lindor got on the board with his first home run of the season on Tuesday, taking Yoshinobu Yamamoto deep for a solo blast on the third pitch of the game. He later added a base hit, but the solo homer would be all the Mets could put on the board as they continue to scuffle at the plate. Following the two-hit game, Lindor is hitting .194/.301/.306 with 11 runs scored and two steals.

This has been a bad time for Lindor to have one of his patented slow starts. The Mets have gone scoreless for 17 consecutive innings and are finding it difficult to create any kind of offense while Juan Soto is out. Even worse – and uncharacteristic of Lindor – are some mental lapses. He had a base running gaffe during the Mets’ best chance to score in this one. With runners on first and third and down 1-0, he danced a bit too far off third base on a ground ball hit to first baseman Nick Kurtz with no outs. Lindor shot down the line expecting Kurtz to turn a double play and then froze when Kurtz looked towards him. Kurtz then fired a throw to third and got Lindor as he tried to scurry back. Again, mistakes like this are uncharacteristic for Lindor who will still expect to go on a tear at some point soon and wind up with his numbers in the same spot we’re used to by season’s end.

Lindor walked in the first, third and fifth and came around to score each time. His other two plate appearances produced a popup and a groundout. It’s the first occasion in his career in which he’s scored three times without a hit. He hadn’t even had a game with two runs scored and zero hits since Sept. 2019, when he was still with Cleveland.

Lindor made his return to spring action over the weekend and has provided zero indication that he won’t be ready for next week’s opener. The 32-year-old fantasy stalwart is back at shortstop defensively and has looked like his usual self at the plate after undergoing hamate surgery last month. He remains an early-round building block in all fantasy drafts.

It’s the first time that Lindor has been in the lineup on the big league side since undergoing hamate bone surgery on his left wrist. He’ll get as many at-bats as possible over the next week and a half and barring any setbacks it sounds like he should be good to go in time for Opening Day.

Lindor expressed confidence afterwards that he’ll be ready for Opening Day, which is just over two weeks away. The 32-year-old fantasy superstar, who recorded a 31-homer, 31-steal campaign last year, played four innings at shortstop in his first game action since undergoing hamate surgery on his left wrist back in early February. He’s yet to progress to swinging a bat in a game setting but the expectation is that he’ll be able to do so in the coming days. Neither the Mets or Lindor have committed fully to being ready for the season opener but he appears to be trending in that direction.

Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the hope is that Lindor will be able to take batting practice Wednesday. The star shortstop underwent hamata bone surgery in the offeseason, and recently had his stitches removed. There’s a good chance Lindor will be ready for the start of the regular season, and if not, it should be a relatively short stint on the injured list to begin 2026.

Lindor just had his stitches removed after having hamate bone surgery, so he will now begin his hitting progression again. The Mets always believed that Lindor would be ready for Opening Day, and that seems likely if his wrist responds well to the ramp up. His power may take a couple of months to fully come back, however.

Lindor had surgery Wednesday for a stress reaction in his left hamate bone. It will be interesting to see if the Mets let him go on Opening Day if he winds up receiving little or no action this spring. For what it’s worth, he’s had dreadful Grapefruit League campaigns the last two years. In 2024, that was followed by a very slow start at the plate, but he came out of the gate nicely last season.

It was mentioned as a possibility yesterday, it graduated to “happening” today. Lindor is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season based on the timeline shared yesterday, but as we mentioned then, hamate bone injuries can negatively affect power output for months to come. His fantasy stock has definitely taken a bit of a downturn based on this news despite the fact that he might not miss any action.

If he was forced to go under the knife, Lindor would need around six weeks of recovery time. The superstar shortstop said that he’s confident that even if he did have the procedure done that he would be ready for the start of the regular season. Keep in mind though, historically, players who have had issues with their hamate bone have experienced a decline in their power output, at least initially.

Lindor won’t be able to play after undergoing a cleanup procedure in his right elbow during the offseason. The 32-year-old is expected to be ready for spring training, but one of the best shortstops in the league won’t be on display for the event. Jose Altuve also won’t participate for Team Venezuela due to insurance issues.

Lindor didn’t miss any time during the season because of an elbow ailment. The cleanup surgery shouldn’t prevent him from being ready for the start of spring training.

The Reds lost to the Brewers on Sunday afternoon, so all the Mets needed to do was beat the Marlins to secure the final Wild Card berth in the National League. They couldn’t muster a single run in the ballgame. Lindor did his part, with a double and a pair of walks in three plate appearances, but it simply wasn’t enough. The 31-year-old shortstop concludes his 2025 season hitting .267/.346/.466 with 31 homers, 86 RBI and 31 stolen bases in what was another outstanding all-around campaign.

Lindor got the Mets off to a fast start with a lead-off home run off Sandy Alcantara. Then he stung a ball in his next at-bat, but lined into a double play. He hit the ball hard again later on, but had nothing to show for it. Don’t let his team’s catastrophic second half failure distract from the fact that Lindor put up his second 30-30 season in three years and once again returned first round value.

Lindor’s home run was his 30th of the season. He hit a solo shot off Shota Imanaga in the third inning. It’s the third year in a row and sixth time in his career that he’s reached the 30 home run plateau. Lindor is hitting .267 with an .805 OPS and 84 RBI this year.

Lindor knocked a base hit in the first inning and was caught stealing second. He then drew a walk in the third before hitting a double in the fifth and getting caught stealing for a second time. Lindor collected his third hit with a double in the ninth and scored on a wild pitch. The 31-year-old shortstop is hitting .270/.344/.464 with 26 homers, 99 runs scored, 77 RBI, and 28 steals across 642 plate appearances.

The Mets had an offensive explosion in this one. They put up 21 hits and 10 runs in total as every single member of their starting lineup had at least one hit before the fourth inning was over. Lindor helped to ignite this onslaught with his three hits and two steals. Three of his four balls in play were hard-hit and he’s unbelievably locked in right now at the plate. Over his last 10 games, he’s 22-for-44 with four home runs. He’s jumped up from a .735 OPS to a .797 OPS in that span, which is hard to believe this late in the season.

Lindor led off the home half of the first inning with a single but was picked off of first base. He singled in the fourth inning but was left stranded at second base. Lindor then smacked a two-out RBI “double” in the sixth that was a routine fly ball to center field that Julio Rodriguez simply missed. With his three-hit night, the 31-year-old shortstop is now hitting .259/.327/.455 to go along with 24 homers, 71 RBI and 20 stolen bases.

Lindor brought the Mets’ first run home with a double in the third inning. He added a base hit and a stolen base in the seventh. That’s now four straight multi-hit games as Lindor has fully broken out of his slump. The 31-year-old shortstop is slashing .255/.324/.451 with 24 homers, 82 runs scored, 70 RBI, and 20 steals across 549 plate appearances.

Lindor is finally heating up. He had hits in his first three at-bats including a lead-off home run and the first of back-to-back shots with Juan Soto in the fourth inning. Yet, it was still not enough for the Mets to get off the schneid. Nevertheless, Lindor has eight hits in his last three games and has raised his OPS by 40 points in that span.

Lindor’s 22nd homer of the season came off Bryce Elder in the third inning. His 19th steal came in the sixth, and he came around to score on a sac fly from Brandon Nimmo. After an awful July, Lindor has been better — but not elite — in August with a slash of .238/.373/.381 with two homers and a pair of steals.

Lindor’s home run was his 21st of the season. The 31-year-old shortstop hit a solo shot off Carson Whisenhunt in the first inning. The Mets wouldn’t enjoy that lead for long as they lost 12-4 to the Giants on Sunday. Lindor is hitting .251 with a .758 OPS and 64 RBI this year.

The first two runs batted in came on a squeeze bunt, which went for a hit, and a well-placed grounder, but the last two were on a ringing double. It’s his second four-RBI game of the year. He entered the day 10-for-67 with a 19/1 K/BB in his previous 15 games.

The home run was No. 19 on the season for Lindor. The 31-year-old shortstop hit a three-run home run off Taylor Clarke in the ninth inning to put the Mets up 7-3. Lindor also walked and ended up scoring the tying run in the eighth inning. He’s hitting .263 with an .800 OPS and 54 RBI on the year.

It’s kind of hard to believe, but it’s the first time Lindor has scored four runs in a game since 2018, when he did it twice for Cleveland. Scoring four runs isn’t a particularly rare feat; it tends to happen once or twice per week. It had been done 33 times this season, including once apiece by fellow Mets players Jesse Winker, Mark Vientos and Brandon Nimmo. Lindor has now scored 57 runs in 88 games this season, putting him on pace to top 100 for the third straight year.

In a rare start at designated hitter and his first game out of the lead-off spot in more than a calendar year, Lindor was a key contributor in a win the Mets absolutely had to have. After two two-out walks and an infield single against star rookie Jacob Misiorowski in the second inning, Brandon Nimmo and Lindor hit back-to-back home runs which gave the Mets an early 5-0 lead. Then, once the Brewers rallied to make this game close again, Lindor smacked a two-out, run-scoring double in the following inning. He provided more insurance with another two-out hit in the ninth. This was Lindor’s 10th three-hit game of the season, but first since way back on June 7th. Manager Carlos Mendoza flip-flopped Lindor and Nimmo atop the lineup to try and find a spark in what’s been a disastrous few weeks for the Mets. The plan worked and hopefully it helps the newly minted All-Star Lindor start a hot streak after struggling to a .628 OPS in June.

Lindor finally got the Mets on the board in this one with a 405-foot (104.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Max Lazar in the eighth inning, trimming their deficit to six runs at 7-1. The 31-year-old superstar shortstop also singled in the opening inning but was ultimately stranded at third base. With his two-hit attack, Lindor is now hitting .270/.342/.474 with 16 homers, 42 RBI and 13 stolen bases.
