Marquee Network’s Taylor McGregor reports the Cubs and president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer have agreed to a multi-year contract extension.

No word yet on the length of the long-term deal. Hoyer has led Chicago’s baseball operations department since team president Theo Epstein stepped away back in 2020. The 51-year-old executive has been with the organization since the 2011 campaign. His current contract was set to expire at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
