After working a scoreless eighth, Andrew Morris gave up three runs in the ninth to take a blown save Sunday against the Reds.

The Twins wanted Morris to close in just his second big-league appearance after being called up eight days ago. He pitched around a leadoff walk in the eighth, retiring the heart of the Reds order afterwards. In the ninth, though, he allowed two singles, a walk and a three-run double while getting just one out. Morris was only working the ninth today because Cole Sands and Justin Topa were unavailable after working two days in a row. He probably won’t see additional save chances in the near future.
