McCusker’s hyper-aggressive all-or-nothing approach figures to get exploited by big-league caliber arms, but he’s deserving of an opportunity at the highest level after slashing .350/.412/.650 with 10 homers and two steals through 38 games this season at the Triple-A level. The 26-year-old outfielder, who is striking out nearly 30 percent of the time this season, is a remarkable story of perseverance after spending two seasons in the independent Frontier League from 2021-2022 before getting an opportunity in affiliated ball with Minnesota.
