Patrick was able to strike out five, but he was very fortunate to only allow the two runs considering he walked five batters before exiting. All things considered, it’s a respectable outing, and he could have been much worse with the Brewers putting up two touchdowns worth of runs behind him. Patrick has been mostly solid in 2026 as seen in his 2.57 ERA, and he’ll look to have similar results — with more strikes — against the Nationals on Sunday.

Patrick entered following two innings from opener DL Hall. It’s the second time in three appearances that he’s come out of the bullpen. He’s striking out far fewer hitters than last season. He’ll carry a 2.35 ERA (5.32 xFIP) into a home matchup against the Diamondbacks in his next outing.

Patrick’s previous outing was an odd one, as he was preceded by an opener and lifted after three scoreless innings. Tonight, he topped his previous season high for innings by 1 1/3, needing just 81 pitches to get his 20 outs. He should be of some use in mixed leagues if the Brewers are willing to pitch him five-plus innings at a time, especially if they’d have him do it behind an opener (thus increasing his chances of winning). He’ll likely face the Tigers next week.

Aaron Ashby started the game as an opener for the Brewers and gave up two runs over 2 1/3 innings. Patrick took over for him in the third and kept the Nationals at bay, but got himself into a jam by loading the bases with one out in the sixth inning, prompting a call to the bullpen. Luckily for Patrick, Angel Zerpa came on and got a double play ball to escape. Patrick got four whiffs on 50 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 24 percent. While his chances of earning a victory are higher working as a bulk reliever, Patrick’s fantasy value takes a hit if his manager is only going to let him record nine outs in a game. He’ll tote a 0.73 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 7/5 K/BB ratio (12 1/3 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the Blue Jays.

Chad Patrick will be the follower against Washington and be (much more likely) to be in line for the win. This is generally good news for Patrick. Ashby should probably be pulled in shallow leagues with daily transactions as he stands little chance of garnering a win.

Patrick was excellent on Saturday, spinning five scoreless innings in Kansas City. He did work through some traffic with the help of some excellent defense, scattering four hits and walking three batters. Patrick threw just 47 of 86 pitches for strikes and collected three strikeouts on seven swinging strikes. The 27-year-old right-hander has allowed just one run with a 7/4 K/BB ratio over 9 1/3 innings across his first two starts. He’ll take on the Nationals in Milwaukee on Friday.

Patrick was pulled with a 4-1 lead after a one-out double in the fifth, leading to an easy win for Aaron Ashby. But he’s used to this kind of thing after going 3-8 in spite of a 3.53 ERA in 23 starts and four relief appearances for the Brewers last season. He’d have a much better chance of being a viable mixed-league starter if MLB would declare that four innings was sufficient for a starter to be credited with a win. Patrick will make his next start Friday against the Royals.

Patrick gave up a pair of homers; both solo shots in the third inning by Alex Bregman and Ian Happ. The 27-year-old didn’t have a ton of success in Arizona as seen in an ERA of 11.68, but it appears he’ll leave the Cactus League healthy and ready to contribute to the Milwaukee rotation.

On the plus side though, he managed to record five strikeouts and didn’t walk a batter. The Diamondbacks scratched out a run against him in the opening inning, then Manuel Pena clubbed a solo shot in the second. Patrick got a whopping 10 swings and misses on just 52 pitches in the ballgame — three each on his cutter and slurve — while posting a stellar CSW of 37 percent. He has proven to be a viable fantasy asset when given an opportunity in the Brewers’ rotation and is a name for fantasy managers to keep in mind toward the tail end of drafts.

Patrick allowed two hits, two walks and struck out two. The 27-year-old right-hander should have a spot in the rotation after striking out 127 over 119 2/3 innings with a 3.53 ERA over his 23 starts — 27 total appearances — in 2025, and his ability to miss bats makes him a sneaky fantasy option in the latter rounds to open 2026.

Patrick was on three days’ rest after throwing 4 1/3 innings on Saturday, so this was going to be a short one. He’s done everything the Brewers have asked him this year in posting a 3.56 ERA in 23 starts and four relief appearances. He’s fanned 125 and walked 39 in 118 2/3 innings. It’s possible he’ll make one more appearance in some capacity on Sunday.

Patrick struck out just three batters on the night and didn’t allow a base on balls. The 27-year-old hurler retired the first 10 batters that he faced in order before allowing three straight singles to produce a run in the fourth inning. He then allowed two straight hits and a sacrifice bunt to start the fifth inning before turning the ball over to the bullpen — and one of those inherited runners ultimately scored. Patrick got six whiffs on just 56 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of only 23 percent. He’ll carry a 3.66 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and a 119/37 K/BB ratio (115 2/3 innings) into his final start of the regular season on Friday against the Reds.

Patrick punched out six opposing hitters in the contest while issuing three walks. The Rangers scratched out a run against him in the second inning on an RBI single by Cody Freeman. Patrick then served up a two-run homer to Michael Helman in the fifth inning — the final batter that he faced in the ballgame. Patrick got 11 swings and misses on 80 pitches on the night — seven on his cutter — while posting a strong CSW of 34 percent. He now holds a 3.70 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and a 112/37 K/BB ratio over 109 1/3 innings in 22 appearances (21 starts) with the Brewers. The expectation is that he’ll head back to Triple-A Nashville after this start.

Patrick draws the starting assignment for Tuesday’s showdown against the injury-decimated Rangers at Globe Life Field. The 27-year-old rookie has held his own at the highest level this season with a respectable 3.60 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 106/34 K/BB ratio across 105 innings over 21 appearances (20 starts). He offers some appeal as a low-upside streaming option in extremely deep mixed leagues.

Patrick has been shipped back to the minors after striking out seven and allowing two runs over 5 2/3 innings on Sunday in a spot start against the Giants. There’s simply no room for him in Milwaukee’s rotation at the moment.

Patrick gave up four hits, walked two and struck out seven. The 27-year-old right-hander pitched well in what was a spot start to buy Brandon Woodruff an extra day of rest. Patrick was in line for the win before the blown save by Trevor Megill in the ninth inning. While Patrick proved to be good depth for the Brewers Sunday, he’ll still likely be headed back to the minors soon.

Patrick draws the starting assignment for Sunday’s contest against the Giants with veteran Brandon Woodruff having his next start pushed back an extra day. The 27-year-old rookie right-hander has done a nice job this season, registering a respectable 3.61 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 99/32 K/BB ratio across 99 2/3 innings (20 appearances, 19 starts) in his first opportunity at the highest level.

Patrick took the ball for the front-end of Tuesday’s twin bill at Wrigley Field and was ultimately saddled with a loss after giving up five hits, including a three-run homer to Willi Castro in the third inning, which accounted for most of the damage against him. He struck out four and only handed out a pair of free passes. It’s likely a one-and-done spot start with Jacob Misiorowski back from the injured list.

Patrick winds up losing his spot in Milwaukee’s rotation to facilitate former ace Brandon Woodruff’s return from the injured list. The 26-year-old rookie right-hander has held his own this season in his first shot in the big leagues, compiling a respectable 3.52 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 95/30 K/BB ratio across 94 2/3 innings (19 appearances, 18 starts). It wouldn’t be shocking to see him get another chance at some point in the second half.

Patrick tossed a scoreless first inning, then gave up two runs in the second, including a solo homer by Kyle Stowers. He settled in to gives the Brewers three more scoreless innings, ending his day after five frames with two strikeouts. The 26-year-old right-hander ends the day with a respectable 3.52 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 95/30 K/BB ratio across 94 2/3 innings. He’s tentatively lined up for a start against the Nationals in Milwaukee on Saturday, though that could change with the return of Brandon Woodruff.

Patrick scattered four hits and a pair of walks on the afternoon. Unfortunately for him and his fantasy managers, the Brewers were unable to scratch out a single run against Germán Márquez while Patrick was in the ballgame. The 26-year-old hurler generated 15 swings and misses on 99 pitches on the day — seven of those on his slider — while posting a solid CSW of 30 percent. Still 3-7 on the season, Patrick will bring a 3.51 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and a 93/29 K/BB ratio (89 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Marlins in Miami.

Patrick was a very nice surprise for two months, but he’s given up 13 earned runs and four homers over 15 innings in his last three starts, taking his ERA from 2.84 to 3.72. The Brewers might think about trying something different soon, perhaps using Patrick in shorter outings alongside DL Hall or Aaron Ashby. That said, if they stay the course, Patrick will likely have a better outing at home against the Rockies on Sunday.

The 26-year-old right-hander struck out five batters on the night while issuing a pair of walks. He had allowed just one run through the first four innings until Seiya Suzuki crushed a game-changing three-run homer off of him in the fifth inning that proved to be the difference. Patrick got nine swings and misses on 74 pitches on the evening, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He now sports a 3.50 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and a 76/26 K/BB ratio over 79 2/3 innings through his first 16 outings (15 starts) on the season. It’ll be interesting to see how he bounces back after two rough outings when he does battle against the Twins his next time out in Minnesota on Sunday.

Patrick had eight strikeouts and 19 whiffs in the 94-pitch outing, but he gave up two homers, both of which came with a man on. The five runs and eight strikeouts are both new highs for him in his 14 career starts. He’s been absolutely terrific for the Brewers, but he has an unfortunate 3-6 record to go along with his 3.25 ERA. He doesn’t seem like a great choice in mixed leagues against the Cubs next time out.

Patrick’s fantastic season continued with another great start. While he worked around some walks and a handful of dinky singles, the Padres simply could not square him up. They had just one hard-hit ball against Patrick and of all people, it was a line drive out from Martín Maldonado. Nevertheless, Patrick forced a handful of pop-ups with his cutter up in the zone and dotted a few beautiful ones both on the outer edge and fading away. He’s incredibly crafty and will continue to succeed as long as his command stays sharp. His next start is scheduled to come against the Braves.

Patrick put together a solid outing in a win against Philadelphia. He held the Phillies scoreless through three innings before Alec Bohm took him deep for a solo homer in the fourth. A double and a base hit brought a second run in to score in the sixth before Patrick’s day was done. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 2.97 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and a 57/18 K/BB ratio across 63 2/3 innings into a start against the Padres in Milwaukee on Friday.

It’ll be lefty reliever Rob Zastryzny taking the ball for an opener appearance before passing the metaphorical baton to Patrick for a multi-inning outing. The 26-year-old rookie holds a respectable 2.97 ERA across 57 2/3 innings (12 appearances, 11 starts) this season in his first taste of the majors.

The Brewers were up 1-0 at the time, so Patrick would have been in line for the win with one more out. He’s used to this now, though; it’s the sixth time this season that he’s been pulled during the fifth. He’s allowed a total of five runs in 27 innings (1.67 ERA) over the course of those starts. D.L. Hall replaced him today and was credited with the win after allowing one run in 2 1/3 innings. Patrick is 2-4 in spite of an excellent 2.97 ERA over 11 starts and one relief appearance. He’ll make his next start either Sunday against the Phillies or Monday versus the Reds, depending on how the Brewers want to handle Jose Quintana’s anticipated return from the IL.

Patrick gave up six hits, walked two and struck out four. The 26-year-old right-handed pitched well enough, but wasn’t able to complete five innings to give him a chance at picking up the win against the Rays. Patrick has 36 strikeouts in 42 1/3 innings this year, which is a positive. However, his 3.19 ERA isn’t supported by his 4.39 xFIP. Fantasy managers may want to tread carefully with Patrick going forward, especially in his next start against the Twins next weekend.
