Frasso was non-tendered at the end of 2025 but re-signed shortly after. He’ll provide organizational depth. Hiura was once among the most intriguing young bats in baseball, but is just roster fodder at this point.

Pratto fortifies Texas’ infield depth after hitting .196/.289/.331 with nine homers and eight steals in 114 games at the Triple-A level last season. The 27-year-old got into 145 games for the Royals from 2022-2024, slashing .216/.295/.364 with 14 big flies and one steal over 527 plate appearances. He can be safely ignored in all fantasy formats.

The 27-year-old hurler was non-tendered to free up a spot on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster in late November, but he’ll return to the two-time World Champions on a minor league pact where he’ll continue to provide valuable pitching depth. Frasso posted a 5.49 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and a 68/42 K/BB ratio over 77 innings in 43 appearances at Triple-A Oklahoma City in 2025.

Here’s the first of many 40-man roster additions, designed to protect Rule 5 eligible players from being selected in next month’s draft, that will take place across the league today. Morabito, a 2022 second-round pick, hit .273/.348/.385 with six homers and 40 steals for Double-A Binghamton last season. He’s probably not a future regular in the majors, but if he continues making gains defensively, he’ll be a nice bench option.

The Reds opened 2025 with about a $112 million payroll, which is obviously in the bottom half of the league and actually a little less than they spent way back in 2014, which was the last time their payroll was in the top half of baseball. The good news is that the Reds have no badly spent money aside from the $16 million still owed to Jeimer Candelario and their rotation is well set up for next season (Hunter Greene, Nick Lodolo, Andrew Abbott, Brady Singer and Chase Burns will make about $26 million in total). That should, in theory, give them the flexibility to add the middle-of-the-order hitter they obviously need.

Frasso’s season was already over, but the Dodgers needed to clear a spot on their 40-man roster for the promotion of Andrew Heaney so this procedural move made perfect sense. The 26-year-old hurler posted a 5.49 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and a 68/42 K/BB ratio over 77 innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City in his return from shoulder and hip injuries.
