Quantrill has been hit extremely hard this season across 26 starts between the Marlins and Braves, posting a bloated 6.04 ERA across 117 2/3 innings of work. The 30-year-old righty could presumably get the call to gobble up innings in a low-leverage relief role at some point in the final two weeks.

Quantrill didn’t walk or strike out a batter in the abbreviated outing. He served up three home runs in the opening inning — to Kyle Schwarber, J.T. Realmuto and Max Kepler — and also gave up a solo blast to Bryce Harper in the third inning. The 30-year-old hurler got just three swings and misses on 53 pitches on the night, posting a miserable CSW of only 17 percent. This is the type of outing that could get him designated for assignment on Friday morning. If he sticks around, he’ll carry a 6.04 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and an 85/35 K/BB ratio (117 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Cubs in Chicago.

Before exiting, the 30-year-old hurler had surrendered three runs on five hits over 4 2/3 innings of work while walking five batters and striking out three. He had already thrown 92 pitches and was likely nearing the end of his night regardless. Quantrill should be considered day-to-day.

Atlanta’s starting rotation has been decimated by injuries over the last few months so they’ve decided to bring Quantrill aboard to soak up innings over the final five weeks of the season. The 30-year-old righty finished his time with the Marlins with a lackluster 5.50 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and an 82/30 K/BB ratio across 109 2/3 innings (24 starts).

Quantrill was pulled after throwing just 46 pitches, which is a little weird. he allowed three hits and no walks, and he was able to strike out two before exiting. This didn’t appear to be injury related, so maybe the Marlins just didn’t trust Quantrill and his 6.09 ERA to face the Angels lineup another time through the order. Huh. He’s scheduled to face the Giants on Friday.

Quantrill gave up two hits, walked two and struck out six. The 30-year-old right-hander allowed just one run for the second time in his last three starts. Quantrill lowered his ERA to 6.37, though his xFIP is 4.63. He’s not a recommended fantasy option for his next start against the Angels next weekend.

Quantrill limited Los Angeles’ loaded lineup to just four hits and one walk over his five frames of work. A run-scoring single by Freddie Freeman in the opening frame represented the lone tally against him in this one. He struck out six in what was by far his best outing of the year. The 30-year-old righty will bring a calamitous 7.11 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 22/11 K/BB ratio across 31 2/3 innings (seven starts) into a challenging road matchup on Monday against the Cubs.

This was pretty much the expected line for Quantrill. Pitching for the Rockies last year, he went 0-3 with an 8.31 ERA while totaling 17 1/3 innings in four starts against the Dodgers. The loss leaves him 2-3 with an 8.10 ERA in his six starts this year, and he’s probably going to get stuck facing L.A. again next time out.

Quantrill didn’t pitch well, but he didn’t have to with the Marlins beating up on Casey Lawrence after Logan Gilbert left early with forearm tightness. He did strike out five, but he gave up two homers while seeing his ERA remain an ugly 7.83. Imagine thinking it’s a good idea to start Quantrill against the Dodgers next week.

Quantrill is the first starting pitcher this season to give up at least seven runs while failing to record a strikeout.. The last time a Marlins starter did it was David Hess at Coors Field back in 2021. Quantrill is now 1-2 with an 8.31 ERA, but his rotation spot probably isn’t in any jeopardy just yet. He has an easier matchup against the Mariners in Seattle next time out, but even so, he’d be a weak streaming option.

Quantrill gave up seven hits, walked five and struck out two. The 30-year-old right-hander was perhaps lucky not to give up more runs considering how many baserunners he allowed. Quantrill has a 5.79 ERA, but just a 4.58 xFIP after three starts. Still, he’s difficult to trust for fantasy value given the lack of strikeouts and team context. He’s a complete avoid for the matchup against the Phillies next weekend.
