It’s happening. Kayfus is in right field and batting eighth Saturday afternoon against the Twins in his major-league debut. The 23-year-old prospect rocketed through Cleveland’s system this year, slashing a stellar .300/.390/.539 with 14 homers and four steals across 86 games between Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus after bulking up over the offseason. He’s shown enough power to matter in deeper mixed leagues, especially if the Guardians give him a real shot at everyday at-bats. He’s worthy of a speculative pickup in all fantasy formats.

It’s happening. Kayfus is in right field and batting eighth on Saturday afternoon against the Twins in his major-league debut. The 23-year-old’s meteoric rise to the majors season includes a robust .300/.390/.539 triple-slash line with 14 homers and four steals in 86 games between Triple-A Columbus and Double-A Akron after spending last offseason bulking up from a physical standpoint. He offers enough over-the-fence pop to make an impact in deeper mixed leagues, especially if Cleveland gives him an opportunity to play everyday.

With rumors swirling around the Guardians trading Carlos Santana in a seemingly lost season, Kayfus’ performance at Triple-A becomes more interesting. The 23-year-old is hitting .297/.382/.554 in 55 games at Triple-A with 11 home runs, 38 RBI, and 32 runs scored. He would be more of a batting average asset in fantasy leagues, but he has the power to hit 20 home runs and can also play the outfield, which could keep him in the lineup more regularly.

The 2023 third-round pick is now up to 11 home runs in his 52 games at Triple-A this season with 36 RBI and a .295/.384/.565 slash line. At this point, he might be forcing the Guardians’ hand to give him a shot against MLB pitching.

This is not the second straight game with a grand slam for Kayfus, who now has nine home runs and 31 RBI in Triple-A. Perhaps more importantly, the left-handed hitter is hitting .255/.349/.509 against left-handed pitching this year. He’s racing teammate Chase DeLauter to be the next outfielder called up to the big leagues. Kayfus also plays first base, but that’s likely more of a 2026 destination for him with Carlos Santana and Kyle Manzardo in town this year.
