Aaron Boone suggested that he’d be delayed a few weeks entering the year. Being still four months away from the start of spring training, bone spur surgery seems like something Rodón could recover from and still be ready for Opening Day. Still, there’s not much harm in playing it safe in April. This could quiet any talk about the Yankees moving Luis Gil to the pen next spring. As of right now, Gil and Will Warren are the third and fourth starters behind Max Fried and Cam Schlittler.

Rodón gave up nearly as many runs as outs recorded in an unexpected implosion at the worst possible moment for New York with their season on the line. The veteran southpaw found himself in hot water right away as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. took him deep for a two-run homer in the opening frame before things snowballed completely out of control in a calamitous four-run third inning that featured three consecutive run-scoring singles that chased him from the contest. He struck out two and also issued two walks in the abbreviated 67-pitch outing.

Rodón, who allowed three runs over six innings in Wednesday’s Game 2 win over the Red Sox earlier this week, will follow Luis Gil and Max Fried at the outset of the best-of-five series. It’s not official yet, but we’re assuming it would be rookie Cam Schlittler drawing the starting assignment for Game 4, if the best-of-five series gets there.

Rodón was handed an early two-run lead and was unable to make it stand up as Trevor Story single-handedly kept Boston in this one with a third-inning two-run single and a sixth-inning solo homer. The 32-year-old lefty managed to work into the middle innings, piling up six strikeouts and handing out three free passes. He walked Nate Eaton on four pitches and uncorked a wild pitch that put the potential go-ahead run in scoring position. He was lifted from the contest in favor of reliever Fernando Cruz after hitting Jarren Duran to put two on with nobody out.

Rodón gave up four hits, walked one and struck out five. The 32-year-old left-hander put the finishing touches on arguably the best season of his career. Rodón set career-highs in wins (18) and innings (195 1/3). With three games left in the season, he’ll finish with a 3.09 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 203 strikeouts. Rodón is lined up to start Game 2 of the playoffs.

The Yankees will clinch a playoff birth with a win on Tuesday against the White Sox, so they appear to be reconfiguring their rotation for the AL Wild Card round. With Max Fried starting on Wednesday, he will be on regular rest for Game 1 of the playoff series, and Rodón will now be available for Game 2 on regular rest.

Rodón won his career-high 17th game with his fifth straight quality start. The streak would be eight in a row if he hadn’t come up one out short in one of his wins last month. He’ll try to go to 3-0 in three starts against Baltimore back at home next weekend.

Rodón surrendered five hits, including a fifth-inning solo homer to Brooks Lee. He finished with four strikeouts and only issued one walk. He’ll square off against the Orioles on Saturday to close out a two-start week in his penultimate regular-season outing.

Both runs came in the fifth after Rodón loaded the bases on a single, a walk and an HBP. He recovered to strike out Jahmai Jones for the second out, but Gleyber Torres then dropped a ball into center for a two-run single. Rodón had won his last six decisions dating back to July 21 and is still 16-8 after losing this one. He’ll miss the Red Sox in Boston this weekend and face the Twins on Monday.

Rodón won a fifth straight start and now has 16 victories, matching Freddy Peralta for the major league lead. Interestingly, Rodón, who fanned three tonight, has just 21 strikeouts and 13 walks over 30 2/3 innings during this stretch. That’s a 17.3% strikeout rate, compared to 27.9% in his first 24 starts. It hasn’t mattered yet, but it’d be nice to see some more strikeouts next week versus the Tigers.

Rodón has now won four consecutive starts and allowed two runs or less in each outing. He has a 3.18 ERA and 177/67 K/BB ratio in 164 1/3 innings this year. Rodón is lined up to face the Astros on the road next week.

The 32-year-old southpaw did issue five walks on the night while striking out three. He kept the Red Sox off the board through the first five innings, then walked the bases loaded and exited with two outs in the sixth, only to see Nathaniel Lowe come on and smack a two-run single to put a pair of runs on his ledger. Rodón got seven swings and misses on 103 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 20 percent. He’ll look to extend his winning streak to four games as he carries a 3.24 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and a 172/65 K/BB ratio (158 1/3 innings) into Friday’s premium matchup against the White Sox in Chicago.

The 32-year-old southpaw punched out five batters on the evening while issuing a pair of free passes. All of the scoring done against him came in the second inning on an RBI single by Nick Fortes and a run-scoring fielder’s choice off the bat of Chandler Simpson. Rodón generated 12 swings and misses on 102 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 30 percent. Now 13-7 on the season, he’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 3.24 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and a 169/60 K/BB ratio (152 2/3 innings) into Sunday night’s divisional showdown against the Red Sox.

Rodón struck out five and walked two while the Yankees racked up a big lead tonight. It’s just the second time in eight starts that he’s completed six innings. With the Yankees have days off Thursday and Monday, Rodón probably won’t pitch again until next Tuesday against the Rays.

Another uninspiring outing from Rodón, who walked four and struck out three. In four starts since pitching in the All-Star Game, Rodon has gone 1-1 with a 4.95 ERA and a 24/15 K/BB in 20 innings. His fastball today averaged 93.4 mph, down a little from his season average of 94.3. He’ll have a chance to bounce back next week against a thinned-out Twins lineup.

Rodon gave up two hits, walked five and struck out nine. The 32-year-old left-hander hasn’t gone more than five innings in five of his last six starts. Rodon still managed to strike out nine batters despite not having his best control as evidenced by the five walks. He has a 3.34 ERA and 156/52 K/BB ratio in 134 2/3 innings this year. Rodon is lined up to face the Rangers on the road next week.

Rodon gave up four hits, walked one and struck out eight. The 32-year-old left-hander hadn’t allowed a home run in either of his last two starts, but allowed three home runs to the Phillies on Sunday. Rodon fell behind early, but the Yankees came back and then he cruised into the sixth inning before he was removed at 90 pitches. Rodon has a 3.18 ERA and 147/47 K/BB ratio in 130 innings this year. He’s lined up to face the Marlins on the road next weekend.

Rodon threw a season-high 109 pitches over eight scoreless innings in his final start before the break. Tonight, largely because he walked five, he finished at 107 while getting nine fewer outs. All of the runs came in the fifth after Rodón escaped bases-loaded jams in the second and fourth. He threw 40 pitches that inning alone, with 13 going to Davis Schneider in a marathon at-bat that ended with a popup. It put Rodón in position to escape again, but errors from Oswald Peraza and Anthony Volpe followed. Rodón dropped to 10-7 with a 3.10 ERA. He’ll face the Phillies this weekend.

This was a masterful start by the newly minted All-Star Rodón. It was his first time completing eight innings as a Yankee and he did so by burying slider after slider on these Cubs hitters. That pitch forced 13 swings-and-misses on its own and looked even more dominant than that at times. Also, teammate Aaron Judge helped him out with two diving catches and a home run robbery of Pete Crow-Armstrong. Rodón will close out the first half with a 3.08 ERA over 119 2/3 innings with 135 strikeouts as one of the more impressive pitchers in the American League.

Rodón didn’t fool many batters today; 12 of the 17 balls in play against him were hit hard, with eight of those checking in at over 104 mph. He gave up a grand slam to Brandon Nimmo in the first and later a two-run homer to Pete Alonso in the fifth. Rodón was 8-3 with a 2.49 ERA through 13 starts, but he’s 1-3 with a 5.34 ERA in his last six outings, five of which have turned into Yankees losses. In fact, the team now has a losing record, at 9-10, in his 19 starts this year. He’ll face the Cubs in his first-half finale.

Rodón has typically completed six innings this season, but he had a lot of long counts tonight, with just 52 of his 96 pitches going for strikes. He allowed five hits, walked three and struck out four. The Yankees dropped to 9-9 in Rodón’s starts, which is kind of hard to believe while considering how good he’s been (2.92 ERA) and how well the team has performed overall. He’ll face the Mets this weekend.

Rodón was still throwing very well at the time of his exit, but he was at 88 pitches on a hot night in Cincinnati. Unfortunately for Rodón, the Yankees blew a 3-0 lead in the seventh, denying him what could have been his 10th win. He’s tied with Max Fried and Tarik Skubal for the major league lead in that category. Rodón will likely make his next start Sunday against the A’s, unless the Yankees want to use Marcus Stroman then and hold Rodón back to face the Jays on Monday.

Rodón gave up three homers, but he allowed just one other hit, walked one and struck out seven in his seventh quality start and ninth win of the year. He’ll make his next start in Cincinnati, which could lead to more homers. There’s no sitting him down in mixed leagues, though.

Rodón was better than his previous outing against Boston when he gave up five runs in as many innings, but there were still shaky moments from the southpaw. He walked a pair against his four strikeouts, and he was pulled in the sixth after throwing 92 pitches — 59 of those for strikes. It wasn’t a disastrous outing for Rodón, but another disappointing one just based on expectations set in the 2025 campaign. He’ll still take a strong 3.01 ERA into a scheduled start against the Angels on Thursday.

The 32-year-old southpaw struck out five batters in the ballgame. All of the damage that was done against him came via the long ball, with Kristian Campbell launching a game-tying two-run shot in the fifth inning and Carlos Narváez adding a go-ahead three-run blast to chase Rodón in the sixth inning. He got 15 swings and misses on 90 pitches on the evening, registering a CSW of 30 percent. He’ll look to get back on track as he carries a terrific 2.87 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and a 103/30 K/BB ratio (84 2/3 innings) into a rematch against these Red Sox in Boston on Saturday.

Rodon gave up two hits, walked four and struck out five. The win was his fifth of the season. The 32-year-old left-hander has now won his past four decisions and has recorded at least five strikeouts in all 10 of his starts this year. Rodon’s 3.17 ERA is mostly supported by his 3.27 xFIP. He’s quietly been one of the more consistent starters in fantasy this season. Rodon is lined up to face the Rangers at home next week.

All four of the runs Rodon allowed would come on the home run in Sacramento. He gave up a solo homer in the second innings to Luis Urías, then surrendered a three-run blast to Brent Rooker in the third. He settled in for three more scoreless innings, striking out ten batters on 20 whiffs for his first double-digit strikeout performance of the season. The 32-year-old left-hander will take a 3.29 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and a 67/20 K/BB ratio across 54 2/3 innings into a home start against the Mets on Friday.
