Ryan struck out nine and walked one while allowing just one extra-base hit, a solo home run to Edmundo Sosa. The 29-year-old posted a 30 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW and will finish the season with a 3.47 ERA and 194/39 K/BB ratio in 171 innings. He was almost dealt at the trade deadline this season and will be a name to watch in trade rumors over the winter.

At least that is a pretty good line for someone who gave up four homers, It’s the first time this year Ryan has allowed four. He’s faded pretty badly since being left to whither on a franchise that gave up on the season, with his ERA climbing from 2.82 at the trade deadline to 3.47 now. He’s due to face the Phillies in his final start.

Ryan hasn’t been sharp either of his last two times out, but at least he limited the damage tonight. Alek Thomas’s fourth-inning homer was responsible for both runs. It took Ryan 93 pitches to get his 12 outs and there was no reason to send him back out for the fifth at that point. He’s due to face the Guardians next weekend.

Ryan has been excellent in 2025, but this was him at his worst. The 29-year-old threw just 33-of-62 pitches for strikes before exiting, and he issued four free passes. Three of the runs he gave up came on a homer from Salvador Perez, and he gave up two more in a five-run first. These things happen, but they’re obviously more disappointing at this time of year. A chance to bounce back comes Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Ryan gave up five hits, walked one and struck out eight. The 29-year-old right-hander picked up his 13th win of the season after dominating the Padres for seven innings. Ryan bounced back after he allowed 11 runs in nine innings over his last two starts. He has a 3.08 ERA and 174/30 K/BB ratio in 155 innings this year. Ryan is lined up to face the Royals on the road next weekend.

Ryan probably wouldn’t have minded being part of the Twins’ trade deadline exodus. He can’t blame the Twins’ defense for the bad outing tonight, considering that he gave up two homers and seven other hard-hit balls, but it has been an issue for him in recent weeks. He was also just charged with three extra earned runs in a scoring overturn from his last start, so the poor outing tonight leaves him 12-7 with a 3.22 ERA. He’s due to face the Padres next.

Ryan worked two quiet frames before giving up a two-run homer to Shea Langeliers in the third inning. He ran into more trouble in the fourth. After putting two runners in scoring position with no outs, an error loaded the bases before Ryan allowed three runs in on a sacrifice fly, base hit, and a double. All three runs in the inning would go down as unearned, but drove his pitch count to 87 through four innings. That would do it for Ryan, ending his day with six strikeouts. The 29-year-old right-hander will take a 2.77 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and a 159/28 K/BB ratio across 143 innings into a start against the White Sox in Chicago on Sunday.

Ryan’s line was sterling, but he was a bit fortunate to only allow the four hits and one run given the amount of hard contact the Yankees made against him. Of their 17 total balls in play, 11 were hard-hit and it was shocking they couldn’t string more hits together. They zeroed in on Ryan’s fastball as he lost the feel of secondaries throwing his splitter, slider, sweeper, and curveball a combined 33% of the time. It says a lot about his growth as a pitcher to not have anywhere close to his best stuff and stand up to this stout Yankees’ lineup though. He’s scheduled to face the Athletics at home in his next start.

Ryan gave up four hits, walked none and struck out five. The 29-year-old right-hander has allowed two runs or less in seven of his last eight starts. Ryan has a 2.79 ERA and 146/25 K/BB ratio in 132 1/3 innings this year. He’s lined up to face the Yankees on the road next week.

Ryan gave up five hits, walked one and struck out four. The 29-year-old right-hander allowed runs to the Guardians in each of the first two innings, but settled in and kept them off the board over his last four innings. Ryan bounced back from one of his worst starts of the year when he allowed five runs to the Nationals in his last outing. He has a 2.83 ERA and 141/25 K/BB ratio in 127 1/3 innings this season. Ryan has 10 wins on the year, but it might be difficult for him to win many more games after the Twins’ sell-off. He’s lined up to face the Tigers on the road next week.

The Twins are having a fire sale on Thursday and it wouldn’t be complete if they don’t deal their ace right-hander. It’s going to take a haul from the Red Sox to get a deal done, but it sounds like the two sides may be able to push this one across the finish line as we count down to the deadline.

This might have been the game that officially turns the Twins into sellers. Not that Ryan would be any sort of lock to go even if they do move talent; the All-Star is under control for two more years and should be pretty affordable next season. However, he would bring a huge haul if the Twins opted to rebuild. As is, Ryan is slated to face the Guardians next weekend.

Ryan gave up a long homer to Mickey Moniak in the third, but that was it for the Rockies today. It’s Ryan’s 11th career 10-strikeout game, and he finished one off his career high established against the Tigers in Apr. 2024. He walked no one, so his K/BB is now a resplendent 132/23 through 116 1/3 innings. Of course, that’s not really anything new for him. Actually, his current K:BB ratio of 5.7:1 is a bit lower than his marks from the previous two years. He’ll take a 10-4 record and a 2.63 ERA into his next start against the Nationals.

Ryan’s dominant Midsummer Classic outing showed why every contending team in baseball should be attempting to pry him away from Minnesota ahead of the upcoming trade deadline. He struck out a pair of batters and needed just 10 pitches to twirl a flawless frame. It’ll take a massive haul to extract the first-time All-Star from the Twins, but virtually every contender should be picking up the phone, if he’s truly available. He’ll likely kick off the second half with a challenging road tilt against the Rockies at high-octane Coors Field.

Ryan gave up five hits, walked two and struck out five. The 29-year-old right-hander has allowed two runs or less in six of his last seven starts. Ryan has a 2.72 ERA and 121/23 K/BB ratio in 109 1/3 innings this year. He won’t pitch again before the All-Star game, where he’ll represent the Twins as a first-time All-Star.

Ryan has been officially added to take the roster spot of Astros emerging ace Hunter Brown, who will not pitch in the Midsummer Classic, since he’s been moved up to start Sunday’s first-half finale against the Rangers. The 29-year-old righty receives his first All-Star Game selection after posting an excellent 2.76 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 116/21 K/BB ratio across 104 1/3 innings.

Morosi didn’t say that a trade was likely, but he did note that many teams, specifically the Boston Red Sox, are snooping around. Ryan still has two more years of team control under arbitration and should earn around $5 million next season, so there is no pressing need for the Twins to trade him; however, Minnesota is under strict salary limitations with their ownership group and is trying to revamp their core while not having to spend a lot of money. It will be highly unlikely that they re-sign Ryan when he’s a free agent in two years, so the Twins may choose to deal him now for a haul of prospects or MLB-ready players. Perhaps the Twins would be intrigued by Jarren Duran, who is also a former All-Star who is under team control through three more seasons. That could be an interesting start to trade discussions between those two teams.

Ryan gave up six hits, walked one and struck out eight. The 29-year-old right-hander gave up a solo home run to Taylor Walls in the third inning and an RBI single to Jonathan Aranda in the fourth inning, but was otherwise excellent against the Rays. Ryan has a 2.76 ERA and 116/21 K/BB ratio in 104 1/3 innings this season. He’s in line to face the Pirates at home next weekend.

Just gotta be a little better than that, Joe. It was a Kyle Stowers homer in the second that did the only damage. Ryan matched his season low with four strikeouts, but he went without walking a batter for the sixth time in 17 starts. He’ll next face the Rays on Sunday.

Ryan didn’t allow a single extra-base hit, and gave up just three singles and a hit-by-pitch while he was on the mound. It’s a nice bounceback from a so-so outing against the Brewers on Friday (5 1/3 innings, three runs), and it gives the 29-year-old eight wins on the season while lowering his ERA to an excellent 2.86. Ryan is a must-start when he faces the Marlins next week.

Ryan was at 91 pitches while allowing one run through five, and with the top of the lineup coming up for a third time, he probably shouldn’t have been sent back out. He retired No. 9 hitter Joey Ortiz to start the inning and then gave up a single to Sal Frelick and an RBI double to Jackson Chourio. He was pulled at that point, and the inherited runner came around to score immediately. Less efficient than usual, Ryan tied his season high with 101 pitches tonight and lost for the first time in 10 starts since Apr. 20. He’ll likely make his next start Wednesday versus the Mariners.

Both Hunter Brown and Ryan pitched seven innings of two-run ball, with the runs coming on two-run homers that were hit 339 and 345 feet respectively. In another ballpark, they probably both would have turned in scoreless outings. Ryan allowed just one hit besides the homer and struck out seven. He’ll likely make his next start at home against the Brewers.

Ryan gave up four hits, walked three and struck out six. The 29-year-old right-hander has now won three starts in a row and five of his last six. He has seven wins on the season. Ryan has an 82/15 K/BB ratio in 73 innings to go with a 2.96 ERA. He’ll face the Astros on the road next weekend.

Three of the runs allowed by Ryan came on one swing by Lawrence Butler. Outside of that, the right-hander was so-so, as he allowed six hits and three walks against four strikeouts. Ryan was due for a shaky outing considering how good he’s been for most of 2025, and he was still able to improve his win-loss record to 6-2, even if maybe he wasn’t overly deserving of the victory. He’ll try and lower his 2.91 ERA over the weekend against the Blue Jays.

Ryan was credited with the victory against his original organization, moving him to 5-2 with a 2.57 ERA. He’s allowed one or no runs in eight of his 10 starts this season, and he’s second in the majors with a 0.83 WHIP. He’ll face the A’s next time out.

It’ll be Chris Paddack drawing the starting assignment for the nightcap affair. This is all weather permitting, of course. Ryan will take the ball when Monday’s suspended game resumes in the top of the fourth inning with the Twins leading 2-1. It’s a fluid situation, but for the moment, it sounds like both Ryan and Paddack will work the twin bill. Bailey Ober went three innings at the outset of Monday’s series opener before it was called due to rain.

He gave up only two hits, though one was a Heliot Ramos homer. The Twins probably could have stuck with Ryan longer tonight, as he threw only 76 pitches, 55 of which were fastballs. However, he was coming off a brief illness that caused him to be pushed back in the rotation. Ryan has allowed a total of two runs in his last three starts, and he looks like a legitimate top-10 fantasy SP at the moment. He’ll face the Brewers next.

It’ll be Bailey Ober taking the ball in his place. It’s a tough break for fantasy managers since Ryan is coming off a pair of stellar starts and was set to face an Orioles’ lineup that has scored three earned runs or fewer in seven of their last 10 contests. Barring an unexpected development, Ryan should be cleared to take the ball at some point during a three-game series against the Giants, which gets underway on Friday night.

Ryan, who had significant velocity issues this spring while making his way back from a shoulder injury, averaged 94.2 mph with his heater tonight, which was up slightly from his career-best average of 93.9 mph last season. He’ll probably be a top-10 or -15 SP if he keeps that up and if the Twins start giving him some additional help. He’ll face the Orioles next.
