Springs was given an extra day of rest, and it’s tough to say if it made a huge difference. He struck out six, but he allowed a pair of homers while issuing two walks and allowing four hits in total. It’s still a quality start, however, and one that slightly increases his ERA to 3.97. Springs will be back on the mound for the Athletics in Toronto on Thursday.

Springs struck out five and walked none. The one run came on a homer from Heliot Ramos that would have left only 10 ballparks, according to Statcast. It’s Springs’ fourth straight strong effort this month; he’s given up a total of four runs in 24 2/3 innings to lower his ERA from 6.04 to 3.91. Still, his 41/21 K/BB in 53 innings isn’t great, especially for a guy with one of the league’s lowest groundball rates. We’d continue to shy away in shallow leagues for now. He’ll face the Phillies next.

Julio Rodríguez took Springs deep with a solo homer in the first inning. A base hit and a double brought a second run in for Seattle in the second. Springs settled in for three more scoreless frames, striking out four over five innings. The 32-year-old left-hander will take a 4.81 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and a 32/19 K/BB ratio across 39 1/3 innings into a start against the Dodgers in Los Angeles next Tuesday.

The 32-year-old southpaw recorded only one strikeout on the afternoon. Both of the hits that he allowed were singles. The Rangers only mounted one real threat against him — putting runners at second and third with two outs in the fifth inning — when Springs got Tucker Barnhart on a called third strike to end it. He generated just three whiffs on 68 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 29 percent. He’ll look to replicate this brilliant effort as he carries a 4.98 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and a 28/17 K/BB ratio (34 1/3 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Mariners.

The White Sox were on Springs early in this one. Luis Robert Jr. took him deep for a solo homer before a walk and three hits brought three more runs in to score in the opening frame. Two hits and a sacrifice fly put two more runs on the board for Chicago in the second. Springs was left in to save the bullpen and gave up one more run in the sixth. The 32-year-old left-hander ends the day with a 6.04 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, and a 27/16 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings, giving fantasy managers little reason to hold him at this point. He’ll make his next start against the Rangers in Texas on Thursday.

The 32-year-old southpaw was removed from Sunday’s outing against the Brewers due to soreness in his right hamstring, which he said was more of a cramp than anything. He’ll undergo further evaluation on Monday just to be on the safe side, but it sounds like he should be good to go for Saturday’s premium matchup against the White Sox.

Springs appeared to tweak his hamstring while coming off the mound to field a third-inning grounder. He was charged with six runs — four earned — with three strikeouts and four walks over 3 2/3 innings before departing. It certainly sounds like he’ll require a trip to the injured list in the coming days.

The 32-year-old southpaw walked three and struck out four on the night. He ran into major trouble in the opening inning as Andrew Vaughn tagged him for a three-run homer, but Springs settled in nicely after that and kept the White Sox’ offense at bay over his final four frames. He got 10 swings and misses on 93 pitches in the ballgame — three each on his fastball, slider and changeup — while posting an underwhelming CSW of 24 percent. Now 3-1 on the season, he’ll carry a 4.50 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 20/10 K/BB ratio (20 innings) into Sunday’s showdown against the Brewers in Milwaukee.
