Soriano was struck by a 107-mph line drive during Wednesday’s start against the Brewers. Though X-rays came back negative for any fractures, he’s still dealing with a contusion and wasn’t going to be able to make his next scheduled start, so he’ll finish the year on the injured list. The 26-year-old wraps his 2025 campaign with a 10-11 record, 4.26 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 152/78 K/BB ratio over 169 innings in 31 starts.

Soriano appears to have avoided serious injury after initial X-rays came back negative for any fractures after taking a 107 mph line drive to his pitching hand during the second inning of Wednesday’s start in Milwaukee. The 26-year-old was charged with three runs over 1 1/3 innings. He’s obviously not a lock to make his next start on Tuesday against the Royals, but doesn’t appear to be facing an extended absence.

Soriano was given an extra day of rest, but it didn’t really help. He gave up a two-run double to J.P. Crawford, and then Julio Rodríguez followed three batters later with his own two-run two-bagger. Soriano appears to be tiring as the season finishes up, which is understandable considering he’s over 50 innings above his career high. Assuming he stays in the rotation, he’ll face the Brewers in Milwaukee.

Soriano was scheduled for Wednesday’s bout against Minnesota, but the Angels will give him an extra day after he was awful Friday against the A’s with 2 1/3 innings of eight-run baseball. Jose Ureña will get the start with Soriano pushed back to Thursday against the Mariners.

Oof. Soriano was so good during Sunday’s shutout of the Astros, and so not even kind of like that in this one. He walked five, and only 39-of-80 pitches went for strikes. When Soriano has been at his best he’s been sensational. There are just too many starts like this to have unconditional trust. He’ll try and get back on the good side Wednesday when he faces the Twins.

It’s Soriano’s third scoreless start this month. Unfortunately, since he gave up 12 runs in the other two, he still ends August with a slightly higher ERA (3.68) than what he entered with (3.65). Soriano finished with 16 whiffs and a 39 percent CSW today. He should be a solid play at home against the A’s on Friday.

Soriano allowed just four hits while posting a 20 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW. The 26-year-old did a good job of getting ahead with his sinker and four-seamer and then got enough whiffs on the curve and splitter to keep the Rangers off the board. He’ll now carry a 3.85 ERA into a start in Houston this weekend.

Soriano is back from paternity leave and will make his next scheduled start on Monday against the division-rival Rangers. The 26-year-old righty holds a solid 4.00 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 130/64 K/BB ratio across 148 2/3 innings (26 starts) this season.

The 26-year-old hurler was already on the paternity list, but he could only be stationed there for three days and needed an extra day. He’s expected to rejoin the team on Sunday and is still scheduled to start on Monday.

Soriano is scheduled to take the ball on Saturday against the Cubs, so the move doesn’t impact his availability for that outing. The 26-year-old righty holds a solid 4.00 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 130/64 K/BB ratio across 148 2/3 innings (26 starts).

Soriano struck out five batters in the contest while allowing just one walk. He struggled to keep the ball in the yard in this one as Nick Kurtz, Shea Langeliers and Lawrence Butler each tagged him for solo home runs. The 26-year-old right-hander got 10 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the game — six of them on his knuckle curve — posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll attempt to bounce back as he totes a 4.00 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 130/64 K/BB ratio (148 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s tilt against the Cubs.

Things got hairy when Shaun Anderson gave up four runs in the eighth, but the Angels held on to win 7-4 afterwards. It’s the sixth scoreless start of at least six innings for Soriano this year. Unfortunately, he’s also given up at least five runs on seven occasions while going 8-9 with a 3.84 ERA. He’s due to face the A’s on Sunday.

Soriano had allowed just one baserunner through three innings before running into trouble in the fourth. He surrendered four runs before recording an out, including a two-run homer by Brandon Lowe. The Rays would bring three more runs home before Soriano was able to get out of the inning. That would do it for him after four innings. He collected four strikeouts. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 4.01 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and a 119/61 K/BB ratio across 137 innings into a start against the Dodgers in Anaheim on Monday.

Soriano was excellent, as he allowed just five hits and two walks while striking out seven. The offense behind him was not, as the Angels gave him a single run of support. He also can “thank” Jo Adell for an error that led to an unearned run. Soriano has given up no more than two runs in his last three starts, and his ERA is now a solid 3.65 for his trouble. He’ll try and keep the good run going against the Rays next week.

Soriano allowed four hits with one walk and five strikeouts. The right-hander gave up both runs on homers to Julio Rodríguez, and that’s just the sixth and seventh homer he’s allowed all season. It’s nice to see back-to-back strong starts for Soriano, as he’s had a tendency of following quality starts with less-than-spectacular ones. He’ll get a chance to make it three in a row versus the Rangers on Wednesday.

Who can figure out Soriano? He dominated the Braves, got hit hard by the Rangers and Diamondbacks, and then pitched great against the Phillies. He struck out five and walked two on the day while posting an unimpressive 18 percent whiff rate and 22 percent CSW. He allowed an average exit velocity on balls in play of 90 mph, and he threw 89 percent sinkers or curves, so this game feels a bit like a fluke. This was essentially a two-pitch game for Soriano in which he didn’t miss many bats or allow much soft contact but still kept the Phillies off the board. It remains hard to trust him next week against the Mariners, but it’s probably worth it in deeper formats.

The right-hander walked three batters on the afternoon while striking out three. The Diamondbacks pushed across four unearned runs in the fourth inning after a pair of errors by Yoan Moncada extended the inning. The D’Backs tacked on another in the fifth on an RBI double off the bat of Eugenio Suarez. Soriano generated seven whiffs on 91 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 21 percent. He concludes his first half with a 6-7 record, 3.90 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and a 98/55 K/BB ratio across 113 innings through his first 20 starts.

Soriano cruised through three innings before running into trouble in the fourth. He walked the bases loaded and gave up five runs on two doubles and a base hit. Soriano got out of the inning, but his day would be done at 82 pitches with four strikeouts. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 4.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and a 95/52 K/BB ratio into a start against the Diamondbacks in Anaheim on Sunday.

The 26-year-old hurler scattered three hits and a pair of walks on the evening. All of the hits that he allowed in the ballgame were singles and the Braves never even advanced a runner to second base against him in the dominant effort. He got 13 whiffs on 101 pitches in the ballgame — eight of those on his knuckle curve — while registering a strong CSW of 34 percent. He now sits at 6-5 on the season with a 3.72 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and a 91/47 K/BB ratio over 104 innings through his first 18 starts. He’ll do battle against the Rangers his next time out at home on Tuesday.

Soriano was outstanding against the Astros on Saturday. He was the exact opposite of that Friday. The 26-year-old coughed up nine hits and two walks, and while he struck out four, he clearly wasn’t fooling the Washington offense. Amazingly, he and Nationals starter Jake Irvin combined to give up 16 earned runs, and neither gets a decision. Baseball. Soriano will try and find that previous form and lower his 3.99 ERA against Atlanta on Thursday.

Soriano was able to generate 19 swings and misses among his 95 pitches, and he allowed just three hits while walking three. It was an exceptional start for the 26-year-old, and another quality outing for the right-hander, and he’s allowed just one run over his last 20 innings with a K/BB ratio of 28/6 in that timeframe. Soriano will get a chance to keep this good run going against the Nationals on Friday.

Soriano wasn’t as dominant as when he struck out 12 against the A’s last time out, but it was another excellent, WHIP-lowering effort, as he matched his season-low with one walk. His ERA has dropped from 4.11 to 3.54 in his last two starts. His WHIP, once nearly the worst in the league at 1.59, is back to 1.46. He’ll face the Astros next.

Soriano tossed five shutout innings, holding the Athletics without a hit until a walk and a double drove in a run in the sixth. It would be the first run of the game in Tuesday’s pitchers duel against Mitch Spence. Soriano would complete a scoreless seventh, collecting a career-high 12 strikeouts on an impressive 22 whiffs. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 3.86 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and a 64/39 K/BB ratio across 79 1/3 innings into a start against the Yankees in New York on Monday.

Soriano’s ERA was a nice 3.41 coming into this one, but his WHIP was already a killer and giving up eight hits and three walks won’t help. In fact, at 1.59, he’s now second worst in the league in that category, putting him right in between teammates Yusei Kikuchi and Jack Kochanowicz. Soriano, an extreme groundball pitcher, has probably been somewhat unlucky to amass a .339 BABIP and give up 78 hits in 72 1/3 innings. However, he has no one to blame but himself for the 37 walks. He really ought to be better than this. Soriano will face the A’s next week.

Soriano also issued four free passes on the night while striking out a pair of opposing hitters. Only once did the Guardians threaten against him, as they loaded the bases with two outs in the fourth inning, but the right-hander rallied to strike out Gabriel Arias to neutralize the threat. Soriano generated five swings and misses on 96 pitches on the evening — four of those on his sinker — while posting a CSW of 23 percent. He’ll look to replicate this fine effort as he brings a 3.41 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and a 49/34 K/BB ratio (68 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Red Sox in Boston.

The Angels’ eight game winning streak is no more. Soriano allowed seven hits in the loss while walking three and picking up just a single strikeout in the contest. The 26-year-old still possesses a relatively solid 3.73 ERA on the season, and he’ll get a chance to bounce back next weekend against the Guardians in Cleveland.

Soriano gets the quality start, but there was a lot not-so-quality moments for the 26-year-old. He allowed six hits and four walks, but outside of a two-run first the right-hander was able to keep the traffic from crossing the plate. Soriano has mostly been solid for the Halos in 2025, and his ERA is a respectable 3.57 with a K/BB ratio of 46/27. He has a friendly matchup on paper over the weekend against the Marlins.

Soriano left with a 4-3 lead, but it was erased quickly after his departure. The 26-year-old was not exactly dominant in his outing with eight hits allowed and four free passes, but he did strike out six to help balance things out a smidgen. Soriano takes an even ERA of 4.00 into a scheduled start against the Padres in San Diego on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should have better options than starting Soriano against that lineup.

Soriano left his start with a 1-0 lead, but the Angels’ bullpen imploded for nine runs in three innings, including eight in the ninth. It’s still a strong outing for Soriano even without the win that saw him scatter six hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Soriano has been mostly effective in 2025 with a 3.83 ERA, and isn’t a terrible streaming idea for next week against the Blue Jays.
