Stowers got unlucky with a 108-mph line out in the first inning. He later sent one over the center field wall with a two-run homer off Osvaldo Bido in the third inning to put the Marlins on the board. Stowers stayed red-hot in the ninth, taking Mason Miller deep for a walk-off grand slam. It was hit second multi-homer game this week. The 27-year-old outfielder is of to a tremendous start, hitting .324/.392/.552 with six homers and 25 RBI across 120 plate appearances.

Stowers came in with two homers in 27 games, but given that he had 10 barrels already, he was rather unlucky in that regard. He’s now batting .323/.396/.510 in 111 plate appearances, and while we wouldn’t expect him to keep that up, he should remain a perfectly solid outfielder for the Marlins, albeit one who will likely need a platoon partner in the long run.
