Turang just keeps on chugging along. Two more doubles here gives him 13 extra-base hits on the season and somehow looks like a certified power hitter at this point. He’s further improved on his much improved batted ball metrics from last year and has the profile of someone that could wind up as the number one second baseman by season’s end.

Turang finds himself atop Milwaukee’s lineup once again after going 2-for-5 with four RBI during Tuesday’s blowout victory. The 26-year-old speedster has been one of the most impactful fantasy second baseman this season, hitting .307/.430/.560 with four homers and 18 RBI across 20 games. Sal Frelick, who led off for the first month of the year, has been dropped to seventh on the lineup card.

It’s Turang’s sixth career four-RBI game, though it’s the first in which he drove in four baserunners (as opposed to himself on a home run). He’s actually the first player this year to have a four-RBI game without the benefit of an extra-base hit. That’s not a particularly rare thing, though; it happened 11 times last year. Turang is batting .307/.430/.560 with four homers and 18 RBI in 20 games. With Turang, Nick Hoerner and Brandon Lowe off to great starts, it’s already setting up for a fun battle as to who will start at second base for the NL All-Stars. We can’t forget about Ketel Marte and a fun rookie in JJ Wetherholt, either.

Turang had an outstanding day at the plate, reaching four times and driving in three of the team’s four runs. After drawing a walk in the third inning, he drove in a pair of runs with a two-run blast off Sandy Alcantara in the fifth. A base hit in the sixth would bring home the third run. The 26-year-old second baseman is up to four homers and six steals while slashing .299/.434/.582 with 19 runs scored and 14 RBI across 84 plate appearances.

Today, he came in at 109.6 and 104.0 mph on his homers and 106.9 mph on a line-drive single. He’s hitting .298/.441/.617 with three homers and five steals in 13 games.

Turang looked fresh after getting a pair of contests off earlier this week to address some lingering ankle tendinitis. The 26-year-old speedster has evolved into an all-around threat in recent years and remains one of the top fantasy options at the keystone. He’s been the second-most valuable fantasy second baseman this season, hitting .275 (11-for-40) with 11 runs scored, one homer, seven RBI and five steals across 11 games.

After missing each of the team’s previous two contests due to tendinitis in his ankle, Turang is back in there at second base and hitting atop the Brewers’ lineup for Friday’s battle against Jake Irvin and the Nationals. He’s off to a strong start offensively, slashing .270/.413/.514 with a homer, seven RBI, 10 runs scored and four stolen bases in his first 10 games.

Turang claims that it’s a short term absence, and he plans to be back in the lineup on Friday. In the meantime, David Hamilton will make his second straight start at second base, with Luis Rengifo in the lineup at third base.

Murphy didn’t provide any specifics beside that Turang has been dealing with either a foot or ankle issue for the past week, which is one reason why he’s not in there for Tuesday’s game against the Red Sox. It’s unclear whether his availability is in question moving forward. There should be some clarity on his status soon.

Turang got a fastball over the heart of the plate from Rays ace Drew Rasmussen in the third inning and didn’t miss, sending a majestic 392-foot blast to left-center field for his first round-tripper of the year. The 26-year-old is one of the top fantasy options at the keystone, thanks to his increasingly potent power/speed combination. He’s hitting .409 (9-for-22) with one homer and two steals through six games.

Turang singled in the fourth inning but was left stranded at first base. He then delivered an RBI single off of Phillippe Aumont in the sixth inning that extended Team USA’s lead to 4-0. The 26-year-old infielder also worked a walk in the ninth inning before being erased on a double play. Turang is having an exceptional tournament at the plate, hitting .467.

After Aaron Judge hit a two-run homer as the third batter of the game, one might have guessed this one would end up mercy ruled at some point. The U.S., though, did a much better job of working the count than putting the ball in play, and while it eventually built a 7-1 lead anyway, Brazil made it a game with three runs in the sixth and kept hanging around afterwards until the ninth, when Team USA scored seven times. Team USA ended up with 10 hits and 17 walks in the game. Lucas Ramirez, an Angels prospect and the son of Manny Ramirez, homered twice for Brazil.

Turang took Giants starter Adrian Houser deep for a 400-foot blast in the opening frame before connecting for a grand slam in the fourth inning against swingman Tristan Beck. The 26-year-old’s wheels are his signature calling card, but he made a leap in the power department, launching a career-high 18 big flies in 156 games. It might be a stretch to project 20-plus homers based on his track record, but it’s not out of the question. He’ll be among the top handful of second baseman off the board as an early-round pick in all fantasy drafts this spring.

Turang is a Super Two player, so this is the first of four seasons of arbitration for him, assuming he’s not locked up on a long-term deal at some point. He hit .288/.359/.435 during an exceptional 2025 season, and he’s likely to be Team USA’s starting second baseman in the WBC.

Turang’s big power surge seems to have come to an end; he last homered two weeks ago and that’s his only homer in 82 plate appearances over his last 20 games. Still, he’s remained effective for the Brewers in hitting .293/.391/.427 this month.

Turang had been 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts through the first nine innings but was still able to play the role of hero with his RBI knock off of JoJo Romero that put the Brewers ahead in the top half of the 10th. He has had a terrific overall season at the plate, slashing .286/.356/.436 with 18 homers, 77 RBI and 24 stolen bases.

Turang came through with a go-ahead RBI single off of Luis Garcia in the seventh inning that put the Brewers ahead to stay. He then raced around to score on an RBI double off the bat of Christian Yelich. The Brewers opened the first with back-to-back homers from Turang and Jackson Chourio. Christian Yelich then followed with an 111-mph rocket to center that was run down by Michael Helman. As it turned out, it was the latter event that set the tone for the rest of the game. Turang is up to 18 homers, 12 of which have come in his last 36 games. He totaled 19 homers in his previous 397 games as a major leaguer.

Turang is at second base and batting sixth on Sunday afternoon following a brief one-game absence due to left wrist soreness. The fact that all precautionary imaging came back negative for any structural damage is encouraging. However, as fantasy managers are well aware, wrist issues tend to be problematic recurring issues for hitters, so it’ll be worth monitoring his status over the next few weeks, even if he manages to avoid the injured list.

Turang was plunked during Friday’s game. While all imaging came back negative for any structural damage, he is still dealing with some soreness. He worked out on the field prior to Saturday’s game and attempted to give it a go before they ultimately made the decision to keep him out. He’s considered day-to-day.

Turang kicked off the scoring with a two-run homer against Cubs starter Shota Imanaga in the second inning, which turned out to be enough offense for Brewers rookie Quinn Priester and five relievers. The 25-year-old speedster is up to 14 round-trippers on the season, double his previous career-high mark that he set last season, and has also chipped in 21 stolen bases through 123 games. He’s a top-five range second baseman for fantasy purposes until further notice.

Turang swapped lineup spots with Sal Frelick after entering the day with a .333/.382/.784 line this month. With the shot off Cade Horton in this one, he now has seven homers in August. That’s more than a quarter of his career total; he had six homers in 137 games as a rookie in 2023, seven in 155 games last year and six in 104 games this season prior to this stretch.

Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy was quick to note after the game that the finger had been bothering Turang for a while but that it isn’t anything serious and won’t keep him out of the lineup. It sounds like he was just getting his guy a rest in a lopsided game. Expect Turang to return to action on Wednesday.

Turang got the home half of the first inning started with a bang, swatting a 3-1 sinker from Andrew Heaney for a 406-foot (105.3 mph EV) solo shot that gave the Brewers an early lead. He also drew a two-out walk in the second inning but was left stranded there. For the season, the speedy 25-year-old is now hitting .278/.345/.405 with 11 homers, 55 RBI and 21 stolen bases.

Turang has now homered in back-to-back games and has four home runs in the last week. He’s now 11-for-30 in seven games in August with four home runs, 10 RBI, and two steals. This is the best stretch we’ve seen from Turang at the big league level, but he’s now up to 10 home runs and a .399 slugging percentage on the season after hitting only seven home runs with a .349 slugging percentage last year. The 25-year-old hasn’t come close to his 50-steal pace from last season, but the batting average and power improvement have been nice to see.

Turang jumped all over a cutter that simply spun the heart of the zone from Kodai Senga and blasted it 424 feet for the second longest home run of his career. Ironically, his longest came earlier this season in Coors Field, so it only kind of counts. He chipped in a stolen base later on after a rare walk from reliever Tyler Rogers to complete this combo meal. Turang has made real strides at the plate this season, already setting his career-high with nine home runs and a shockingly solid .732 OPS to go along with 21 stolen bases.

Turang, who came into today with just a .714 OPS and six home runs, is not exactly known for his power, but he put on a display on Sunday, which was the first multi-homer game of his career. Neither home run was a fluke, with the first one traveling 399 feet at 105.2 mph off the bat and the second going 396 feet at 100.6 mph off the bat. He also added a 101.3 mph groundout and a 100.7 mph flyout, so Turang was seeing the ball incredibly well today. If Sal Frelick (knee) were to miss time, Turang could lead off against right-handers, which would be big for his fantasy value.
