Cardinals acquired RHP Frank Elissalt, INF Jesus Baez and RHP Nate Dohm from the Mets for RHP Ryan Helsley.

Elissalt has pitched well this season in the lower minors with a 3.04 ERA and 65/21 K/BB ratio across 56 1/3 innings between High-A Brooklyn and Low-A St. Lucie. The 23-year-old righty was a 19th-round selection in the 2024 MLB Draft.
