Trout is 4-for-4 stealing bases this year. That’s more steals than he had in five of the last six seasons. He went 6-for-7 in just 29 games in ill-fated 2024 campaign.

It’s the third time in four games that Trout has walked multiple times, and he’s already drawn 14 of them in 2026. The future Hall of Famer is only hitting .234, but he’s compensated with a .422 on-base percentage to pair with a .558 slugging percentage. It’s fun to see pitchers fearing Trout and the 34-year-old giving pitchers a reason to have said fear.

That’s a five-homer series for Trout, who is now batting .246/.416/.593. Including Sunday’s affair with the Reds, he’s scored three runs three times in his last five games. He’d done that a total of twice in 255 games since the beginning of 2023. His third run today came on a Jo Adell grand slam after he was intentionally walked.

This was an all-time series for Trout in the Bronx. With another home run here, it gave him four in the three-game series along with nine RBI. He went from a .777 OPS to a .945 OPS in that span, just to remind us all how small everyone’s sample sizes still are. Nevertheless, Trout looks the best he has in years. The raw power never left him, but his swing-and-miss rose sharply over the past few seasons. Now, his whiff rate is back in line with where it was when he was still in his 20s! It’s wheels up for Trout as long as he can stay healthy.

He wasn’t far off from a truly massive night, as he hit a ball 393 feet to center with the bases loaded in the fourth. Statcast said it would have been a homer in four ballparks, but it was an easy play for Cody Bellinger in Yankee Stadium. Trout hit the two homers, both of them no-doubters, later in the game. The three-run homer tied it at 7-7 in the sixth, and the two-run shot broke an 8-8 tie in the eighth. The Angels, though, lost in the ninth anyway. The two-homer game was Trout’s 30th. He’s never hit three. He matched and overtook Duke Snider for 58th place on the all-time home runs list with Nos. 407 and 408 tonight.

It’s the 52nd time that Trout has scored three runs in a game, but just the third time since the beginning of 2023. For comparison’s sake, it happened 10 times in 2012 alone and six times as recently as 2022. Trout is still hitting just .208 on the season, but the 15/15 K/BB in 15 games is a nice improvement over what he’s done in recent years, and his EV numbers are pretty good, as well. He already has eight barrels, though just two have turned into homers.

Trout returns to center field and will bat second on Tuesday night following a one-game absence after being hit by a pitch during Sunday’s showdown against the division-rival Mariners. X-rays came back negative for any fractures and he’s ready to roll after getting some extra rest. The 34-year-old future Hall of Famer is hitting .212 (7-for-33) with two homers and two steals through 10 games this season.

Trout will get some extra time off to rest and recover after being hit by a pitch on the left hand during Sunday’s series finale against the Mariners. The positive news for fantasy managers is that initial X-rays came back negative for any fractures and he appears to have avoided serious injury. There should be a definitive update on his status shortly, but fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. It’ll be Bryce Teodosio handling center field on Monday night in his absence.

X-rays were negative. If Trout, who left today’s game in the eighth inning, needs Monday off, the Angels will likely use Bryce Teodosio in center field.

Trout was plunked right in the hand by a running fastball from Casey Legumina. The 34-year-old looked to be in a good amount of pain, and assuredly will undergo X-rays to determine if there’s any structural damage.

Trout didn’t pick up a hit, but did hit a 111 mph liner to left. The steal was already the second of the season for the 34-year-old, who has looked outstanding over the first week of action. There’s obviously reasons for skepticism, but Trout’s talent hasn’t gone away.

Trout hit his second homer in as many games in the fifth inning to push the Angels’ lead to 5-2. Trout is off to a blazing start through the first two games of the season, going 4-for-6 at the plate while also drawing four walks. It’s only two games, but Trout’s early power display after failing to homer in 41 spring at-bats is encouraging.

The 34-year-old outfielder turned back the clock in this one. He drew a one-out walk in the opening inning and deftly swiped second base, but the Halos were unable to cash him in. Trout then clubbed a 403-foot (108.5 mph EV) solo shot off of AJ Blubaugh in the seventh inning that gave the Angels a 1-0 lead they would never relinquish. There’s no denying that Trout can be a viable fantasy asset if he’s able to stay healthy, he just hasn’t been able to stay off the injured list in recent years.

White Sox’ right-hander Shane Smith actually plunked Zach Neto and Trout in succession to start the game. Trout was pulled from the game and immediately went for precautionary X-rays, which came back negative. He’s considered day-to-day. This shouldn’t impact his availability for the start of the regular season.

It’s too small of a sample size to say anything definitive, but Trout has looked healthy and comfortable at the plate this spring, hitting .257 (9-for-35) with five doubles in 13 contests. The 34-year-old generational talent remains a strong bet to reach the 30-homer plateau if he plays anything close to a full season.

The biggest takeaway for Trout this spring is that he’s returned to playing center field regularly, which is an encouraging sign that his surgically repaired knee isn’t bothering him. The 34-year-old’s fantasy star has dimmed in recent years as he’s gradually morphed into an all-or-nothing slugger and a potential batting average liability. He’s still capable of blasting 30-plus homers over something resembling a full season but, bit at this advanced stage of his career, he’s more of a realistic OF3 option for fantasy managers.

After going down on strikes in his first at-bat, Trout singled in the third inning then doubled and scored on an RBI double by Jo Adell in the fifth. With the two-hit attack, the 34-year-old slugger is hitting an impressive .333 (5-for-15) with a pair of RBI to start the spring, though he is still searching for his first home run.

The superstar outfielder said he just never felt comfortable while playing in right field and felt like it was actually more running and more taxing on his body than what he was doing while playing center. The 34-year-old slugger also said he feels good about where his swing is at heading into 2026. We’ll likely never see a return to the stratospheric numbers that Trout was putting up in his prime, but he can still be a viable mid-round fantasy option once again in 2026.

Trout finishes up with four homers in his last four games to push his OPS back up to .798. It’s the first time he’s finished under .800 or even .850 since his 40-game audition in 2011. He came in over .930 every year from .2012-2022 before finishing at .858 in 2023 and .867 in 29 games last year.

Trout got the Angels on the board and started the comeback bid as he ambushed a first-pitch sweeper from Jason Alexander for a 413-foot (107.0 mph EV) solo shot to get the Angels on the board in the fourth inning. He then broke a 3-3 tie with a 395-foot (107.2 mph EV) off of Bryan King in the eighth inning. The 34-year-old slugger is now slashing .230/.356/.431 with 25 homers and 63 RBI on the season. It’s the 10th time in his career that he has eclipsed the 25-homer plateau, but the first time he has done so since 2022.

Trout’s home run was his 23rd of the year and 401st of his career. The 34-year-old DH hit a two-run shot in the eighth inning. Trout managed to play at least 100 games for the first time since 2022 this year, but a late-season slump put a damper on what was already the worst offensive season of his career.

Trout etched his name into the history books in the eighth inning with a mammoth 485-foot (114.9 mph EV) solo shot off of Colorado reliever Jaden Hill that capped off the scoring in the contest. He’s just the 59th player in history to reach the 400-homer plateau and the fifth ever with 400 home runs and 200-plus by his age-33 season — joining Willie Mays, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Alex Rodriguez. That’s some pretty elite company. On the season, he’s now slashing .229/.358/.414 with 22 homers, 59 RBI and two stolen bases across 535 plate appearances. The 34-year-old has been plagued by knee injuries the past few seasons, but there’s zero doubt he’ll wind up as a surefire first-ballot Hall of Famer as one of his generation’s iconic talents when he finally decides to hang up his spikes.

Trout struck out in his first two at-bats, and then smacked a solo homer to tie the game at 4-4 off Bryce Miller. The 34-year-old is now two blasts away from reaching 400 on his career, and he’s hit 21 of them in 2025. Obviously he’s nowhere near the player he once was, but Trout is still a relevant player even without the steals or the average.

The 34-year-old slugger missed each of the team’s previous two contests due to a skin infection. He’ll serve as the Halos’ designated hitter and bat second against left-hander Noah Cameron and the Royals on Thursday evening. On the season, Trout is slashing .231/.361/.425 with 20 long balls, 54 RBI and a pair of stolen bases in 466 plate appearances.

Trout’s quest to reach the lofty 400-home run milestone is on hold for now. The 34-year-old generational talent, who is sitting on 398 round-trippers, will sit out his second his second straight contest due to a skin infection. He told reporters he’s feeling better already and plans to return to the lineup for Thursday’s series finale against Kansas City.

No word yet regarding the severity of the issue, but the positive news is it’s unrelated to his surgically repaired knee. Jo Adell moved over to DH with Chris Taylor entering the lineup in right field. There should be an update from Angels interim manager Ray Montgomery following the contest. Fantasy managers should consider Trout day-to-day heading into Wednesday’s contest in Kansas City.

It’s a rare two-double game from Trout, who entered with just 10 two-baggers this season. His last such game came on April 23, 2023, though he’s had five two-homer games since then. His second double today was a 404-foot shot off the wall in left-center. Statcast says it would have been a homer in 21 ballparks.

Trout went 0-for-10 with seven strikeouts during the Angels’ three-game series sweep at the hands of the Cubs. The 34-year-old generational superstar could probably use a break after starting 72 of 76 games since returning from the injured list back on May 30.

Trout took Rays starter Shane Baz deep in the third inning of Wednesday afternoon’s matinee in Los Angeles for his 20th big fly of the season and 398th career round-tripper. The 33-year-old fantasy stalwart has gone deep three times in 17 games since last month’s All-Star break. More importantly, the transition to a full-time DH role has enabled him to stay in the lineup.
