It’s fair to say that Wrobleski was squeezed at times during this outing, but he did struggle to throw strikes as seen in four walks and just 62-of-109 pitches landing in the zone. He was able to pick up six strikeouts, but it’s worth noting that he generated just seven swings-and-misses before exiting. Still, the results are the results, and Wrobleski continues to limit the damage to the tune of a 1.50 ERA with a 4-0 record. He’ll look to improve both against the Cardinals next weekend.

Wrobleski did strike out three, but he was fortunate to limit the damage to just one run. He allowed eight hits in the contest, and 12 balls off Colorado bats registered as hard contact. That’s 22 hard-hit balls allowed in his last two starts, and he’s allowed only one run in the process. The 25-year-old will look to keep the good run — and potentially, the good luck — going against the Cubs on Sunday.

Wrobleski only struck out two, but he didn’t walk anyone while giving up just a pair of singles. There were 10 balls hit off the 25-year-old that were considered hard hits, but his ability to command the strike zone a long with a smidgen of luck carried the way against the anemic Mets’ lineup. Wrobleski will likely make at least one more start, and it would be Monday in Colorado against the Rockies.

Wrobleski’s first start produced his first win of the year. He mostly just stuck with the fastball and slider tonight, throwing one of the other 69 times in the 78-pitch outing. He had a poor 19-percent CSW, but just four of 15 balls in play against him were hard-hit and only two produced hits. Wrobleski will probably get another start next week against the Mets, assuming that he isn’t needed in long relief this weekend. The Dodgers will probably want him available behind Roki Sasaki on Sunday just in case.

Woo adds that the Dodgers haven’t explicitly stated it publicly, but the expectation is that Wrobleski will be ready to pick up the slack, if Sasaki struggles out of the gate in his season debut. The lack of a clear-cut rotation spot limits Wrobleski’s appeal to extremely deep mixed leagues and NL-only formats, but there’s some definite win potential pitching the middle innings with Los Angeles’ loaded lineup providing run support.

Wrobleski had a 39% CSW against Angels backups in finishing off the 3-0 loss tonight. He’ll probably be asked to make a relief appearance of similar length his first time out, most likely after Roki Sasaki exits. He could be a nice source of wins in NL-only leagues while working in long relief.

Wrobleski also issued a pair of walks in the contest while striking out three. He navigated the first inning without any issues, but the White Sox pushed across three runs against him in the second inning and another pair while chasing him in the third. The 25-year-old hurler got eight swings and misses on 68 pitches on the afternoon — five on his fastball — while posting an underwhelming CSW of 19 percent. This outing definitely didn’t help his cause in securing a spot in the Dodgers’ Opening Day rotation. Overall, he sports a 5.40 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and a 7/2 K/BB ratio over 8 1/3 innings on the spring.

Wrobleski has pitched six scoreless innings in three appearances. He’ll probably make the Dodgers as a swingman, and it’s possible he’ll prove more trustworthy than Roki Sasaki in the rotation in the long run.

Wrobleski would seem to be in line to make the Dodgers as a sixth starter/swingman with Blake Snell expected to open up on the injured list. The 25-year-old southpaw had a 4.32 ERA in two starts and 24 relief appearances covering 66 2/3 innings last year, and he might be a streaming option this season if he gets the chance to start.

On a night where the Dodgers used seven relievers, Wrobleski was the last one standing and was able to procure his second save of the season. The 25-year-old isn’t likely to see many more save chances in 2025. The word zero comes to mind, in fact.

Wrobleski provides Los Angeles with some additional long relief depth behind starter Dustin May for Sunday’s contest against the Red Sox at Fenway Park. The 25-year-old southpa has compiled a pedestrian 4.50 ERA and 40/10 K/BB ratio across 40 innings (eight appearances, two starts) this season in the big leagues.

Wrobleski heads back to the minors after getting blasted for five runs – four earned – over 4 2/3 innings on Saturday in a bulk relief outing against the Astros. The 24-year-old lefty holds a respectable 4.50 ERA and 40/10 K/BB ratio across 40 innings (eight appearances, two starts) this season in the big leagues. He’ll operate in a swingman-type role in the second half when he gets another shot.

He struck out six, but he gave up seven hits, including a Yainer Diaz homer. With an off day Thursday, the Dodgers might send down Wrobleski through the All-Star break and get him some work in Triple-A. If not, he could again pitch in a bulk role Friday or Saturday.

Lou Trivino operated as the opener for the Dodgers on Sunday. He gave up one run on a pair of hits in the first inning. Wrobleski followed with six impressive shutout innings, scattering three hits and one walk while striking out six batters. The 24-year-old left-hander has allowed just four total runs over his last four outings. He holds a 4.08 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 34/9 K/BB ratio across 35 1/3 innings. His next outing is scheduled to come next Sunday at home against the Astros.

Jack Dreyer drew the start as the opener for the Dodgers in Colorado on Tuesday. He gave up a run in the first inning on a base hit and a double. Wrobleski took over in the second and gave up two runs on five hits and two walks over five innings while collecting seven strikeouts on his way to a win. The 24-year-old left-hander ends the day with a 4.91 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and a 28/8 K/BB ratio across 29 1/3 innings. His next appearance is set to come Sunday in Kansas City against the Royals.

It’s a shame that Wrobleski doesn’t have five scoreless frames, as he was ever-so-impressive over the first four innings after relieving Emmet Sheehan. He held the Padres scoreless and to just one hit in that timeframe, but he faltered late while allowing two runs — one of them unearned — to tie the game. Still, this was a solid effort, and one that might earn Wrobleski a chance to start in the coming days/weeks.

Wrobleski, who was recalled today after three weeks in Triple-A, split the difference tonight after giving up eight runs in his lone appearance in April and no runs in his other outing in May. It’s uncertain if the Dodgers plan to give him a real shot here. They will need a fifth starter again on Wednesday, but they might just send him down for a fresh arm and deal with Wednesday when it comes.

Wrobleski gets the call to make the start Friday against the Cardinals. The right-hander will likely have a short leash, and his lack of consistent success at the highest level would make him a very risky streaming option for Friday’s tilt.

Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts had said before Thursday’s game that he was undecided on whether the team would go with a bullpen day on Friday or promote a spot starter instead. The Dodgers’ bullpen had to cover 5 2/3 innings after Landon Knack couldn’t get out of the fourth inning on Thrusday, making it extremely likely that it’ll be Wrobleski getting the ball instead.

The 24-year-old left-hander earned a victory over the Athletics on Thursday with four scoreless innings out of the Dodgers’ bullpen, but he wasn’t going to be available for the next few days so they’ll swap him out for a fresh arm. He’ll be an option once again the next time the Dodgers need a spot starter or length in their bullpen.
