Diamondbacks acquired LHPs Mitch Bratt and Kohl Drake and RHP David Hagaman from the Rangers for RHP Merrill Kelly.

Bratt was a fifth-round selection by the Rangers from the 2021 draft class. The 22-year-old southpaw has impressed in 18 starts at Double-A Frisco this season, compiling a 3.18 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a 106/16 K/BB ratio across 90 2/3 innings of work. He has above-average command though it’s unclear if his stuff will ultimately play at the big league level. Bratt was ranked as the Rangers’ ninth best prospect according to MLB Pipeline.
