Wisdom was just added to the big league roster on Tuesday when Rob Refsnyder went on the paternity list and he suffered the strained oblique the following day. No word yet on how long he’ll be shelved for, but they usually take at least a couple of weeks at a minimum to recover from. Refsnyder was activated in a corresponding move prior to Friday’s contest.

Wisdom is up with Rob Refsnyder hitting the paternity list. The 34-year-old has already homered nine time in Tacoma in 17 games, and fantasy managers likely remember that he was a serious power threat for the Cubs not that long ago. They also likely remember that Wisdom hasn’t had MLB success in a few years, and there’s a good chance he’s just a bench option while Refsnyder is away.

Wisdom has slashed .209/.291/.459 in seven MLB seasons with 88 home runs in 455 games. He spent last year in Korea, hitting .236/.321/.535 with 35 home runs and 85 RBI in 119 games. His power is unquestioned, but his questionable contact makes it hard for him to stick on an MLB roster.
