Warren’s Jekyll and Hyde regular season ended with another start where he missed plenty of bats but also made some costly mistakes. Like when he missed his spot badly with an 0-2 sweeper to Jordan Westburg that turned into a three-run home run. That one mispitch destroyed his final line because his stuff was nasty otherwise. The strikeout upside will make us all very excited about Warren during draft season, just don’t forget about his command woes.

Warren allowed just one run through five, but he and Jazz Chisholm Jr. committed back-to-back errors to open the sixth, fueling a two-run inning. It’s the fourth straight start of Warren’s that the Yankees have lost, though he was pretty good in three of them, and he’s now 8-8 with a 4.35 ERA overall. He’ll be due to start again Thursday against the White Sox, but one wonders if the Yankees might want to take a quick look at him in relief next week in anticipation of potentially using him that way in the postseason.

Warren walked one batter on the night while recording a pair of strikeouts. All of the scoring done against him came in the opening inning as the Red Sox started the game with five consecutive hits, a sacrifice fly and RBI ground out and then a solo homer by Carlos Narváez. Warren settled in afterwards and finished his day with four scoreless frames to help absorb the ratio damage. He got 11 swings and misses on 89 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll carry an underwhelming 4.44 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 160/62 K/BB ratio (152 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Orioles in Baltimore.

Warren racked up five strikeouts on the night while issuing one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came in the fifth inning as Spencer Torkelson worked a leadoff walk and Parker Meadows swatted a two-run homer. Aside from that one mistake, Warren was exceptional. He generated 13 swings and misses on 91 pitches on the evening, posting a strong CSW of 31 percent. Warren has done a decent job for the Yankees this season, going 8-6 with a 4.22 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and a 158/61 K/BB ratio over 147 innings of work. He’ll do battle against the Red Sox his next time out on Sunday night at Fenway Park.

Warren struck out three batters on the evening while allowing two free passes. All of the scoring done against him came on a grand slam by Miguel Vargas in the second inning after an error by Anthony Volpe had extended the inning. The 26-year-old hurler generated seven swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 4.30 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 149/60 K/BB ratio (136 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Astros in Houston.

Warren carried a shutout into the third inning before the metaphorical wheels began to come off. He surrendered a two-run double to Trevor Story but managed to wriggle out of a bases-loaded jam by getting Masataka Yoshida to line out to first base. He wasn’t so fortunate in the ensuing frame as Boston struck for two additional runs before Story got to him for a solo shot in the fifth, which ended his outing. He struck out three and also issued three walks in the underwhelming performance. He’s in line for a tasty matchup on Thursday against the rebuilding White Sox.

Warren gave up six hits, walked one and struck out three while falling one out short of qualifying for a win. The 26-year-old right-hander had struck out at least four batters in 12 of his last 13 starts. Warren has a 4.25 ERA and 143/55 K/BB ratio in 127 innings this year. He’s lined up to face the Red Sox at home next weekend.

Homers from Byron Buxton and Trevor Larnach didn’t stop Warren from moving to 7-5 with a 4.34 ERA. That’s because he allowed just one other hit, walked none and struck out seven on the night. He’ll again be worth using in mixed leagues Sunday against the Cardinals.

Warren racked up five strikeouts on the evening while issuing three free passes. Each of the three hits that he allowed in the ballgame were doubles, but the 26-year-old hurler was able to keep the Rangers off the board each time. Unfortunately, the Yankees’ offense couldn’t scratch out a single run of support for him. Warren got 12 whiffs on 98 pitches on the day — eight on his fastball — while posting a CSW of 23 percent. He’ll attempt to further improve upon his 4.44 ERA and 1.42 WHIP when he takes on the Twins at home on Monday.

While the results wound up solid, Warren is still trying to work through some of the same command problems that have plagued him for the better part of a month. The Rays stacked their lineup with left-handed batters – often an issue for Warren – and he didn’t force a single swing-and-miss against them. He only forced four in total anyway, as he once again failed to consistently locate his sweeper. Still, he didn’t allow much solid contact and never let the Rays sustain a rally against him. Perhaps this says something about the floor he’s establishing for himself and his stomach to fight through a start without his best stuff. He’s scheduled to face the Rangers in Texas next time out.

This game got out of hand late, but that was no fault of Warren. He finally got back on track after a string of poor starts in July by finding the command of both his sweeper and sinker. The sweeper forced a handful of timely swings-and-misses while the sinker generated plenty of soft contact. The key to each was keeping them low in the zone after he struggled to locate them for the better part of a month. His next start is scheduled to come at home against the Rays.

Warren was fortunate to avoid the loss, as he gave up a pair of homers among his five hits while walking three. He did strike out five, and that helped a poor start become a disaster. Warren had pitched well in his previous two outings, but this was a reminder that the command still needs a lot of work. He’s slated to face the Phillies next week.

He also struck out just one while walking three and throwing 52 of his 88 pitches for strikes on the day. Warren didn’t have his best command on the day, posting just a 49 percent zone rate overall while inducing only seven whiffs on 43 swings for a 16 percent whiff rate and 18 percent CSW. The rookie will end the first half with a 4.63 ERA in 95 1/3 innings; however, his strikeout rate and 3.63 SIERA suggest that a better second half could be in order if he can continue to make his command more precise.

Unlike Logan Gilbert, Warren had no issues with the 35-minute rain delay tonight, though maybe his was a little easier; because he was mid-inning when it happened, his delay was actually 35 minutes, whereas Gilbert went closer to 50 minutes between pitches. Warren is now 6-4 with a 4.70 ERA that doesn’t really illustrate how much more often he’s been good than bad. He’ll finish off the first half with a start against the Cubs.

The Jays had seven runs before Warren got his second out in the first inning, so it’s really rather impressive that he got through four like he did. He didn’t have much luck early, either; while he did give up two homers, he also surrendered four singles on non-hard-hit balls in the first. A nine-pitch walk to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was awfully rough, too. Warren has been good enough recently that it’s worth sticking with him for his upcoming matchup against the Mariners.

Warren gave up two hits, walked four and struck out seven. The 26-year-old right-hander got into a jam in the first inning by walking the bases loaded, but he escaped without allowing a run. Warren threw nearly 40 pitches in the first inning, but was able to settled in and was efficient enough to get through five innings to earn the win. Warren has a 4.37 ERA on the year, but his 3.11 xFIP shows he’s pitched much better than that. Warren has allowed a .322 BABIP and stranded only 67 percent of runners on the season, which have been contributing factors to his less-than-stellar ERA. He’s lined up to face the Blue Jays on the road next week.

Warren exited with the Yankees down one, so he didn’t personally benefit from the team’s comeback. Gunnar Henderson aside, the Orioles were pretty aggressive at the plate today, and Warren needed just 86 pitches to get his 19 outs. It was his second longest outing to date. He has a 3.47 ERA and a 27/7 K/BB in 23 1/3 innings over his four starts this month. His next start will likely come Saturday against the A’s.

Warren struck out eight batters for the first time on May 4. He struck out nine for the first time on May 14. He struck out 10 for the first time one start later on May 20. And now he’s upped his career high again, albeit in a losing cause with the Yankees getting shut out for a third straight game. Warren dropped to 4-4 with a 4.83 ERA, but he’ll be worth playing against the Orioles this weekend.

Seth Lugo matched him precisely, and this one was scoreless until the eighth. Warren ended up allowing four hits, walking one and striking out four. He still hasn’t gone six innings in a start this season, though he might have tonight if not for a 28-minute rain delay before he came back out for the sixth. Next on the schedule for him is a start at home versus the Angels.

The Yankees were up 8-1 before Warren gave up a triple and three walks while retiring just one batter in the sixth. It might actually have been better for Warren’s ERA had the game been closer, because then the hook almost certainly would have come more quickly. Still, the win is the bigger deal for fantasy leaguers. Warren has three of those in his last six starts and is 4-3 with a 5.34 ERA overall. He’s a decent play in mixed leagues with the Royals next on the schedule.

Yikes. Warren’s command was atrocious Saturday, as he threw just 29-of-57 pitches for strikes and issued four walks. He also allowed six hits, and after giving up a three-run homer to Max Muncy with one out in the second, the Yankees mercifully let him leave the game. The 25-year-old had pitched well over his last few starts, but you can’t have poor command against the Dodgers and expect good results. He gets a chance to bounce back against the Red Sox next week.

The delay most likely cost Warren a win, as the Yankees had a 4-2 lead going into the bottom of the fifth. Warren had 17 whiffs in 54 pitches before he was shut down. He’s definitely worthy of mixed-league attention at this point, but his next start against the Dodgers isn’t a great matchup.

Warren scattered five hits on the night — all but one of them singles — while issuing one base on balls. After failing to top six strikeouts in any of his first 11 big league starts, Warren has now eclipsed that barrier in each of his last four outings with totals of eight, seven, nine and 10. He generated 13 swings and misses on 101 pitches on the night — six on his sweeper and five on his fastball — while registering a terrific CSW of 35 percent. Now 4-2 on the season, he’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he brings a 4.05 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and a 60/18 K/BB ratio (46 2/3 innings) into Sunday’s showdown against the Rockies at Coors Field.

The headline from Friday’s game was Jasson Dominguez bashing three homers, but Warren’s effort shouldn’t be forgotten. The 25-year-old scattered four hits while striking out seven, and he allowed just one free pass. Warren had not gone past the fifth inning in any of his other outings thus far, so it’s nice to see the right-hander able to work deep against a not-too-shabby Athletics’ lineup. He’ll get a chance to build on his solid effort when he faces the Mariners on Wednesday.

Warren gave up seven hits, walked three and struck out eight. It was another uneven start for Warren, who hasn’t completed six innings in any start this season. While the eight strikeouts were a positive, Warren was fortunate to only allow five runs as there was traffic on the basepaths for much of his start. He also likely would’ve been removed from the game earlier, but the Yankees had just had a bullpen game on Saturday so they let him throw 102 pitches. Warren will take a 5.65 ERA into his start against the Athletics on the road next weekend, though he’s only worth considering in deeper formats.

Warren gave up six hits, including a three-run homer to Ryan O’Hearn. He finished with five strikeouts and also issued a pair of walks. The 25-year-old has failed to pitch beyond the fifth inning in each of his six starts to open the year. He’ll bring an inflated 5.63 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 26/12 K/BB ratio across 24 innings into a home outing on Sunday against the division-rival Rays.

After five scoreless frames, Warren gave up just his second and third hits of the game to start the sixth and was pulled. Both runners came around to score in what had been a 2-0 game, and the Yankees were down 3-2 by the time the inning ended. It was still a positive outing for Warren. He pitched into the sixth for the first time this season, even if he apparently shouldn’t have. He’ll take a 1-0 record and a 4.79 ERA into his next start against the Orioles.

Warren’s first inning wasn’t bad; he gave up singles to the first two batters he faced, but one of the runners was erased on the basepaths, and Warren completed the inning having thrown 15 pitches. The second inning, however, saw him throw 38 pitches and walk two while getting two outs. He was replaced by Ryan Yarbrough with the bases loaded, and Yarbrough retired Brandon Lowe to end the threat. Warren’s ERA essentially held steady at 5.17 in spite of the weak effort. The immediate threat to his rotation spot was cleared when Marcus Stroman’s knee injury created room for Clarke Schmidt, but Warren still might be on thin ice anyway. He’s due to face the Guardians next.

Warren served up a two-run homer to Wilmer Flores in the second inning on a fly ball to right-center that carried on a rainy day in New York. He was otherwise sharp on the day, striking out six over five innings on 14 whiffs. The 25-year-old right-hander will take a 5.14 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and a 15/7 K/BB ratio across 14 innings into a road start against the Rays on Thursday.
