Angels signed RHP Huascar Ynoa to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

The 27-year-old right-hander was cut loose by the Twins last April after posting a 10.38 ERA and 2.54 WHIP over 4 1/3 innings at Triple-A St. Paul before finishing the season in the Mexican League. Ynoa hasn’t been the same pitcher since undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2022, but perhaps the Angels can find a way to unlock his former potential.
