Reath recently underwent season-ending surgery on his right foot to address a stress fracture, so he will not help the Hawks address their post depth woes. The draft capital is the “prize” for the Hawks in this transaction. The future second-round picks are a 2027 pick from Portland and a 2030 pick via New York.

Nembhard stepped up as Indiana’s primary catalyst early on, scoring 21 first-half points. He took a step back in the final two quarters as Pascal Siakam and Aaron Nesmith did most of the damage late to help the Pacers stave off a late rally. The 26-year-old facilitator dished out double-digit assists for the third time in his last five games and has eclipsed 25 points on two separate occasions during that span. He’ll aim to keep the hot streak going when the Pacers open a four-game week that features matchups against the Rockets, Jazz, Bucks and Raptors.

Johnson showed zero signs of rust in his return from a brief one-game absence due to left calf tightness, recording his eighth triple-double of the season. The 24-year-old rising star poured in 21 of his game-high 33 points during the opening half, ultimately hoisting a season-high 29 attempts as Atlanta mounted a late comeback effort that fell just short. He’s emerged as a certifiable all-around fantasy force, averaging 23.1 points, 10.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks through 46 games. The Hawks have three games on tap next week including showdowns against the Heat, Jazz and Hornets.

Siakam deserves a ton of credit for his play this season as he’s carried the Pacers from a scoring standpoint on most nights, averaging 23.8 points and 6.9 rebounds through 47 games. The 31-year-old scoring machine has recorded nine straight 20-point efforts dating back to January 12.

Gueye made the most of his starting opportunity in place of an injured Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) by scoring double-digit points for just the eighth time this season. Toppins is working his way back from a late October foot surgery that was expected to sideline him for at least three months. While Carlisle’s report that he’s ahead of schedule is encouraging, the coach added that Toppin won’t be back in games for the foreseeable future. Managers in deep leagues who stashed Toppin for the silly season can continue to do so, but Saturday’s update does not change anything regarding his value in 12-team leagues.

The Hawks have made three changes to the starting lineup for Saturday’s game. Risacher returns from an extended absence, and he’ll start immediately in a move that pushes Corey Kispert to the bench. Johnson’s return doesn’t force anyone to the bench, as Vit Krejčí (ankle) is out. The third change is Gueye, who will fill the void left by Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) two nights after Christian Koloko did the honors.

Krejčí is a new addition to the Hawks’ injury report. While his production has not made him a factor in fantasy basketball with Zaccharie Risacher out, he has provided depth off the bench. For the third time in his last four games, McCollum finished with at least 20 points, though it wasn’t enough to keep the shorthanded Hawks’ winning streak alive. His tenure with the team got off to a shaky start, but he has picked up his production as of late. If they continue to play without Jalen Johnson (calf), McCollum’s shot creation will be vital to keeping this team afloat. He’ll look to keep it going against the Pacers on Saturday.

Johnson played 33 minutes in Wednesday night’s game against the Celtics and didn’t seem to suffer an injury, so this could be generic wear and tear. That being said, missing Johnson, who has emerged as a legit star this season, would be a big loss for the Hawks. Wednesday’s stat line was what fantasy managers have hoped to see from Daniels consistently. In addition to the efficient shooting, he was effective as a rebounder and distributor, and the defensive production was elite. The six “stocks” were triple Daniels’ total in his prior three games. Walker started over Jay Huff on Friday and rewarded the coaching staff for their decision to move him into the opening lineup. In the win, he was second on the Pacers in scoring, second in three-pointers, and tied a team-high in steals.
