No surprise here as Young was merely listed as probable with an Achilles injury since the Hawks were fined earlier this season after they left the 26-year-old point guard off the injury report. It doesn’t appear that he was ever in danger of missing the game. Young dropped 35 points and 12 assists in his last game Wednesday and will look to keep it going against the Clippers.

Siakam was initially listed as questionable with an elbow injury, but the 30-year-old power forward hasn’t missed a game all season and that won’t change Friday. Siakam has struggled with fantasy production since the All-Star break as he ranks outside the top-200 in that time. Fantasy managers can expect him to play without limitations Friday.

Initially questionable for Friday’s game, Capela will miss a second straight contest for personal reasons. Dominick Barlow moved into the backup center role on Wednesday and should do so again on Friday. However, he’s unlikely to get the minutes needed to be fantasy-relevant.

Due to right olecranon bursitis, Siakam is now questionable for Friday’s game. The Pacers forward has not missed a game this season, and an absence would undoubtedly impact the team offensively. Bennedict Mathurin and Obi Toppin will play additional minutes if Siakam sits, with the former offering a higher offensive ceiling. However, fantasy managers should not overlook Toppin, even if he remains in a reserve role.

Capela missed Wednesday’s game against Charlotte, and Dominick Barlow filled out the backup center minutes in that game. Barlow would likely fill the role again if Capela remains out, though he only played 18 minutes in that role. Young is no longer listed with the quad injury, which is a good sign for his health. Atlanta is still waging their petty war against the NBA after the league fined them $100k for Young’s absence in November, which explains Young’s continued presence on the injury report with this Achilles injury. Trae turned in a 35/7/12 line on Wednesday and will look to stay hot on Friday.

Siakam got going early in this game and did a lot of work early on. He entered halftime with a double-double, and while he didn’t add much after the break, it was still an excellent night for him. Siakam struggled in Indiana’s blowout loss to Chicago, so it was encouraging to see him get back on track in this one and record just his second double-double since the All-Star break. Tyrese Haliburton’s return made life easier for Siakam, and he’ll look to continue filling up the stat sheet during their back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday.

Mathurin returned to playing his typical role off the bench after starting in Monday’s loss to Chicago, but he was still able to contribute plenty of offense as a reserve. 11 of his 17 points came in the first half, but he wasn’t able to add many points during his nine minutes in the second half. Mathurin is an excellent scoring option for Indiana, but he is a difficult player to trust in fantasy basketball when he isn’t starting. Still, he is more than capable of getting hot and having a big night at any time.

After missing Indiana’s last three games, Haliburton (hip) was back in the lineup on Tuesday. He had been the best player in fantasy basketball since the All-Star break, but he wasn’t able to maintain that elite production in this game. Indiana lost all three games without Haliburton, but he was able to get them back in the win column in his return. He completed a four-point play by knocking down a ridiculous shot from the corner while being fouled by Giannis Antetokounmpo. Fantasy managers may have been happy to have him back, but not as happy as Pacers fans were.

Both point guards were initially listed as questionable, but Indiana will have both available against their division rival. Haliburton is back after a three-game absence, which will likely push Bennedict Mathurin back to the bench and take away some of Andrew Nembhard’s playmaking upside. McConnell will fill out his typical role off the bench as a reserve guard, though his upside will be limited with Haliburton healthy.

Both players missed Monday’s game against the 76ers, which allowed Keaton Wallace to start at point guard. This was Young’s first absence since LeVert was acquired, so it is unclear if LeVert would have started if he was available, but he certainly would’ve seen extra minutes as the primary ball handler. If they remain sidelined again, Wallace will get another game as a starter, though he only had seven points, two rebounds and six assists in 31 minutes on Monday.

With Caris LeVert (finger) sidelined on Monday, Atlanta’s other trade deadline acquisitions stepped up as scoring options. Mann and Georges Niang (18/4/3) combined to score 37 of the Hawks’ 49 bench points, which helped them secure the win over Philadelphia despite being shorthanded. Mann isn’t a fantasy-friendly option often, but he was able to make an impact in the box score on Monday. However, he isn’t a player that managers should be looking to roster.

With Atlanta shorthanded, the rookie stepped up on offense early, scoring 11 points in the first quarter. This was his fourth time scoring at least 20 points this season, two of those coming in his last five appearances. Risacher has gone under the radar as a rookie, but he is certainly in the conversation for Rookie of the Year. He hasn’t been able to produce value consistently, but when his shot is falling, he has been effective for Atlanta. He’ll look to keep it up against the Hornets on Wednesday.

After missing a month due to a lumbar fracture, Krejci was able to suit up against Philadelphia. It wasn’t a spectacular return to the rotation, but it was encouraging to see him back on the floor. He had been playing well prior to his injury, but with Atlanta’s trade deadline additions all shining, it’s difficult to imagine a scenario where Krejci contributes standard league value consistently, especially when Trae Young and Caris LeVert return to the rotation.

With Trae Young (quad) sidelined, Wallace slid into the starting lineup for the first time since January. Wallace was productive in his three previous starts this season, but he wasn’t able to replicate that on Monday. The assists were nice, but he struggled as a scorer. In four starts this season, he has averaged 13.5 points ,3.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.3 three-pointers per game. He should be considered as a deep-league streamer if Young misses more time this season.

Playing without Tyrese Haliburton for a third straight game, the Pacers starters did not have it in Chicago. Siakam shot 50 percent from the field, but the overall stat line did not provide much value beyond the points and assists. And with the Bulls taking control of the game during the second quarter, Spicy P only played 24 minutes before Rick Carlisle went to his bench for good. Siakam and the Pacers will look to rebound on Tuesday when they face the Bucks.

The Bulls outscored the Pacers by a 40-21 margin during the second quarter on Monday. And with things not getting much better for the starters during the third, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle decided to roll with his seldom-used reserves in the fourth. Turner’s playing time took a hit, and he offered limited fantasy value. The only positive for fantasy managers is that he should be well-rested or Tuesday’s game against the Bucks.

With Trae Young (quad) sidelined for this game, Daniels was able to step up on the offensive end as both a scorer and a playmaker. Daniels has enjoyed a breakout year with Young on the floor for most of it, but in four games without Trae, Daniels has averaged 21.5 points, five rebounds, 6.3 assists, 4.3 steals and 1.5 three-pointers per game while shooting 58.3 percent from the floor. While this hopefully isn’t a long-term issue for Young, Daniels will have no issue stepping up if Trae misses more time in the future.

With Tyrese Haliburton sidelined for a third straight game, it was Mathurin’s turn to fill the void on Monday. Unfortunately for fantasy managers hoping to benefit from this matchup, he provided minimal value in 23 minutes on the court. And with Tuesday’s game against the Bucks being far more critical from a playoff positioning standpoint, Mathurin and the other starters spent most of the second half on the bench. Johnny Furphy was one of the beneficiaries, as he accounted for four points, eight rebounds and three steals in 18 minutes off the bench. If Haliburton can play against Milwaukee, Mathurin will head to the bench, and Furphy may fall out of the rotation entirely.

With Tyrese Haliburton sidelined, Walker slid into the starting lineup for the second time this season and provided Indiana a taller starting lineup. It was also a great opportunity for him as a former top ten pick to make dynasty managers feel comfortable with his development. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to take advantage of the situation. Walker has had some productive games this season, but his other start, which came in November, was also disappointing. Nembhard took over primary playmaking duties for Indiana with Tyrese Haliburton (hip) sidelined, which allowed him to record a double-double for the first time this season. Niang’s tenure in Atlanta has been inconsistent as he has alternated between scoring in double figures and scoring less than 10 points basically every other game since he made his debut for the Hawks one month ago. However, Thursday’s performance was one of his best. This was his third 20-point game with Atlanta, and he has provided them with much-needed floor spacing off the bench. This was the 29th time in Young’s career that he finished with at least 20 points and 15 assists. That puts him in a tie with Steve Nash for the 10th-most such games in NBA history. He has a long way to go to catch Oscar Robertson (94), but Young has consistently put on a passing clinic throughout his career. What made Thursday’s performance special was that he only turned the ball over once. This was only the third time in Young’s career that he had at least 15 assists and one or fewer turnovers.
