The All-Star led all scorers in this game and also tallied the third-most assists for the Heat. Miami will hope Herro stays hot as the team heads back to Miami in search of a Game 3 victory on Saturday.

While Adebayo was limited in the scoring department, the eight-year pro led the Heat in assists and rebounds while being one of three Heat players to register a steal. In addition to his work on the boards and ability to serve as a go-to facilitator, additional scoring would greatly benefit a Miami team trying to keep pace with a dangerous Cavaliers offense. Adebayo will have a chance for more production in Game 3 on Saturday.

Mitchell got his first start of the postseason and didn’t disappoint, coming up with timely scores and defensive plays down the stretch of Game 2. Mitchell’s double-digit finish was his fourth consecutive and 10th over the last 11 games. After starting in place of Alec Burks, who didn’t play a single second on Wednesday, it’s hard to imagine the fourth-year guard being removed from the starting lineup after such an impactful performance. Nevertheless, he figures to play a key role for Miami in Game 3 on Saturday.

The combination of on-ball defensive ability and being able to set up teammates offensively is why “Off-Night” will start, with Alec Burks heading to the bench. While the move from Toronto to Miami did not significantly impact Mitchell’s fantasy prospects during the regular season, his value to his team did increase. “Off-Night” may have finished Game 1 with a minus-19 rating, but the stat line was solid. And it’s fair to question if there will be a point when Mitchell replaces Alec Burks (6/2/2 with two three-pointers in 15 minutes) in the starting lineup for defensive reasons. Add in Mitchell’s ability to set up teammates, and that change may be required to give the Heat a shot at winning this series. Game 2 is on Wednesday.

Miami’s frontcourt was solid in Game 1, with Adebayo recording a complete stat line and rookie Kel’el Ware (14/6/2/1 with two three-pointers in 38 minutes) providing solid contributions in his playoff debut. However, it wasn’t enough to counter what Cleveland’s guards were able to do, which may prove to be the prevailing storyline of this series. Adebayo should be able to put up quality lines on a nightly basis, despite having to deal with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley. However, the Heat are serious underdogs in this series due to their comparatively limited depth of productive players.

Herro shot the ball well from beyond the arc on Sunday, making three of his six attempts. However, he was 4-of-12 from two, a far cry from the 56.5 percent clip he shot during the regular season. Cleveland’s defense, especially bigs Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in the two-man game, had a lot to do with Herro’s two-point struggles in Game 1. Also, he finished with more turnovers (three) than assists. If Miami is to have any chance of pushing this series to its limit, much less win it, they’re going to need Herro to put up gaudy stat lines and be efficient in doing so. Game 2 is on Wednesday night.

Love last appeared in a game on March 21, and he only played six minutes in a loss to the Rockets that night. Hopefully, the veteran forward will be able to rejoin the Heat soon. His continued absence does not impact Miami’s regular rotation.

After scoring 20 points in Wednesday’s play-in win over the Bulls, Wiggins added 20 more on Friday and also approached triple-double territory. He may not have been the star that the Heat were hoping to bring back in exchange for Jimmy Butler, but he fits in well with this team and will help them be dangerous in the first round of the playoffs against the Cavaliers. That series will begin on Sunday.

Adebayo didn’t have a bad game offensively, but he really left his mark on the defensive end. As one of the premier defenders in the league, Adebayo was able to do a bit of everything to help Miami keep their season alive. His seven “stocks” matched his season-high, and he recorded his third straight double-double. Adebayo be tasked with slowing down Cleveland’s two seven-footers in the first round of the playoffs as the Heat look to pull off their second win over a No. 1 seed as a No. 8 seed in the last three years.

Mitchell only scored one point in the first half, but he came up big for Miami after the break. Mitchell scored 15 points in the second half, including nine points in overtime. Combined with his defense on Trae Young, Mitchell was instrumental in helping the Heat survive Atlanta’s comeback. He’ll continue to be an important reserve for Miami as they take on Cleveland in the first round of the playoffs. He’ll do his best to slow down Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell, but he likely won’t contribute as much offense as he did in this game.

Daniels is a candidate to win the NBA’s Most Improved Player and Defensive Player of the Year award, but he didn’t contribute much on the offensive end in Atlanta’s two play-in games. He scored a total of 18 points across both games, but he added 22 rebounds, 11 assists and five defensive stats in their play-in games. Daniels had an incredibly breakout season and should be rewarded with some postseason honors. After being one of the best late-round picks in the draft this season, he’ll be selected much earlier heading into next year.

Herro dazzled in Friday’s play-in tournament win over the Hawks, with timely baskets late in the fourth quarter and overtime to help Miami secure the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The sixth-year guard’s performance was his 12th consecutive having scored at least 20 points, with the Heat winning 10 of those games. Herro will look to stay hot on Sunday as the Heat take on the Cavaliers in Game 1 of their opening-round series.

Trae was able to hit some big shots down the stretch of this game to make his stat line look much better after a rough start. That included a layup with 1.3 seconds left in the fourth quarter to force overtime. However, Miami was able to heat up in overtime, and the Hawks couldn’t keep up. Trae started off this season shooting worse than usual, but he ended up shooting 41.1 percent over the course of the year. Not great, but much better than how he started. He also set a new career high for assists per game, which is something he has done every year of his career. He may not be able to top 11.6 assists per game next year, but he will continue to be an elite source of points and dimes.

Okongwu was much better against Miami than he was against Orlando, but it wasn’t enough to change the result for the Hawks. Still, it was an excellent night in the box score for Okongwu, and it should have fantasy managers feeling encouraged ahead of next season. He took over as the Hawks’ starting center in January and averaged 15.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 triples after taking the job. He should remain in a starting role next season, which makes him an attractive option in category formats. He should be taken in the top-50 in drafts.

Risacher had a solid rookie season overall, but he didn’t end it on a high note. Risacher’s second postseason game was one to forget, and Quin Snyder didn’t leave him out there long to work through his struggles. He played 29 minutes on Tuesday, but he only played 16 minutes in Friday’s play-in loss. The No. 1 overall pick from last summer didn’t contribute much fantasy value in his rookie year, though he did have some big games sprinkled through the season. However, he’ll have to make some serious strides over the summer if he is going to be worth drafting in standard leagues next season.

Niang put together another strong outing on Friday to add to his recent stretch of good performances. Including Atlanta’s play-in tournament loss to the Magic, Friday’s double-digit outing marked the fourth consecutive for the nine-year forward out of Iowa State. Niang settled in nicely and found a role with the Hawks after being traded from the Cavaliers earlier this season. He’ll likely be a deep-league option in fantasy leagues next season.

As expected, Young will be good to go for Atlanta’s play-in matchup. Young had 28 points before being ejected from Tuesday’s game against the Magic. The Hawks will need him to be even better (and for him to be available for the whole game) if they want to advance to play the Cavaliers in the first round.

Wiggins was impactful on both ends of the floor, supplementing Tyler Herro’s 38-point effort with 20 of his own while recording a complete stat line. Since joining the Heat, Wiggins shot nearly 46 percent from the field on 14.8 attempts per game, averaging 19.0 points. While those numbers are solid, the Heat will need more from him to extend their season. The Heat rested most of their key contributors for Sunday’s regular-season finale, resulting in Jaquez having the ultimate “green light” offensively. The good news for fantasy managers in active leagues who streamed him is that the offensive freedom did not crater his efficiency. Jaquez shot 68 percent from the field and finished with a career-high point total. Add in the rebounds, assists and three-pointers, and Sunday’s performance should instill some confidence in Jaquez ahead of Wednesday’s matchup with Chicago, even if his role is going to be vastly different with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo on the court.

Game 82 always provides some fun stat lines, and that was the case in Atlanta on Sunday. Wallace recorded the first triple-double of his career and posted career highs in assists, rebounds and steals. Wallace has had some strong games this season when Trae Young is sidelined, which was the case once again on Sunday. The two-way guard likely won’t see the floor in the postseason, but it was good to see him take advantage of the opportunity in this game.

What a night it was for LeVert. He entered halftime with 18 points while shooting a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor and ended up setting a new season-high for scoring. He combined with fellow reserve Georges Niang to provide 47 points and eight triples off the bench, which helped Atlanta overcome a halftime deficit. LeVert has been a welcomed addition to the Atlanta bench and should play an important role for them in the postseason. Gueye’s role has been inconsistent for Atlanta this season, even as a starter for the past two months. However, this was one of the best performances of his career. He provided value across the board and demolished his previous career-high of 12 rebounds, which he reached twice this season. Gueye, who is only 22 years old, should continue to start in the postseason for Atlanta, though Quin Snyder won’t hesitate to turn to his veterans off the bench earlier on. With Jalen Johnson healthy next season, there isn’t a clear path for Gueye to retain standard league value.
