Once again, Jaquez gave the Heat some much-needed production off the bench as they held off the Pistons in Detroit. He’s scored at least 19 points in three straight and five of his last six, providing 10th-round per-game value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Coming off the bench limits Jaquez’s value to managers in 10-team formats, but those competing in 12-team leagues should strongly consider adding him if he’s on the waiver wire.

Five of Wiggins’ seven rebounds were on the offensive end of the floor, the second time in three games that he’s accomplished that feat. However, what will stand out to fantasy managers is the 17 points, as Wiggins has met or exceeded that number in four straight appearances. Rostered in 56 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been a top-40 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Daniels hasn’t been as highly touted in fantasy basketball this season, mostly because his steals are down and his scoring has been rough. However, he has somewhat made up for it by averaging career highs in rebounds and assists, and he nearly recorded a triple-double in this game. This was a well-rounded performance for Daniels as he continues to thrive without Trae Young in the lineup.

These monster nights are becoming routine for Johnson. He missed Monday’s game with an illness, but the effects clearly didn’t linger enough to limit his production in this one. Finishing one rebound shy of a triple-double is becoming a habit for Johnson, who did so for a third consecutive game on Saturday. While the Hawks have now lost six straight games, the good news for fantasy managers is that the return of Trae Young (nine points, 10 assists and two steals) has not negatively affected Johnson’s fantasy value. Okongwu put on a show on Saturday, finishing one point shy of his season-high while shooting 6-of-10 from beyond the arc. The Hawks’ current starting center finished a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line, and one of the turning points was when Okongwu fouled out with 29.6 seconds remaining. As long as the Hawks remain without Kristaps Porziņģis, it will be Okongwu’s show in the middle. Those who have him rostered can either command a sky-high price via trade or hold onto him. The good news for Okongwu managers is that the rebounds and assists were there. Unfortunately, the field-goal percentage took a beating with his 5-of-16 night against the Heat. The issue for Okongwu was three-point shooting, as he missed all five of his attempts. Through 11 games in December, he’s shot 15-of-59 from deep, which works out to 25.4 percent. Johnson finished one rebound shy of a triple-double for the second straight game, leaving his total at six on the season. The good news for those who have the Hawks forward rostered is that Trae Young’s return from a knee injury has not negatively affected Johnson’s fantasy value. Young has scored at least 30 points in two of the four games he’s played since returning from a knee injury, so fantasy managers have to be pleased with the output. Unfortunately, the Hawks dropped to 0-4 with Friday’s defeat, which will likely prompt some to make (lazy) assumptions about Young’s impact. And while he was responsible for four turnovers, Young’s assist-to-turnover ratio (40 assists, 10 turnovers) has been excellent since returning to action. Friday’s game was the first for Larsson since December 9, as a sprained left ankle sidelined him. And with Bam Adebayo (back) unavailable, the second-year wing was inserted into the starting lineup. To say that Larsson’s performance in Atlanta was encouraging would be an understatement; the 21 points were a career-high, and he also provided solid value in rebounds, assists and three-pointers. With Adebayo and Tyler Herro (toe) out, Larsson and Jaime Jaquez Jr. (16/5/3/3 with one three-pointer) have higher fantasy ceilings. With Bam Adebayo (back) unavailable, Ware will be the lone post player in the Heat starting lineup. That status may give him a little more leeway, but it also means that Miami can’t afford to have its second-year center sleepwalk through the early segments of games. Ware was productive in Atlanta, recording his fourth double-double in five games. Tuesday’s performance against Toronto was a dud, but Ware still grabbed nine rebounds in 21 minutes. Through three games since returning from an MCL sprain, Young has played 20, 26 and 31 minutes. His season high for minutes allowed him to have his second-most assists in a game this season, with the most coming in his final game before injuring his knee. He had 17 assists in that game, which was also against Chicago. Young is getting closer to playing a full workload consistently, and the most impressive part is that he has a total of six turnovers since returning. Last season, he averaged 4.7 per game.
