Dëmin is out for Saturday’s game with the Bucks for left plantar fascia injury management reasons. It’s undoubtedly a bummer after the 19-year-old point guard had his best game since joining the Nets with 23 points against the 76ers on Friday. Dëmin is certainly a player to keep tabs on for fantasy managers going forward, though he may not be worth rostering just yet.

Dëmin had his best game as a Net on Friday, reaching double figures for the sixth time, with this being his first 20-point game. The rookei guard recorded a complete stat line in 30 minutes on the floor. Since replacing Ben Saraf (DNP-CD on Friday) in the starting lineup, Dëmin has not been productive enough to be a must-roster player in 14-team leagues. However, he is definitely worth watching in the aftermath of Friday’s performance.

Mann is rostered in only three percent of Yahoo! leagues, and with good reason. While he did record a solid line against the 76ers, his inconsistency makes him difficult to trust in most fantasy formats. However, it appears that he’s a lock in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future, especially as first-round pick Drake Powell (4/1/1 in 21 minutes) also has his bouts with inconsistency. There may come a point later in the season when the roles reverse, but we aren’t there yet.

The bad news for fantasy managers who have Clowney rostered is that he shot the ball poorly on Friday. The good news is that he recorded a complete stat line, which is good for the overall value in category leagues. For the season, the third-year forward remains ranked just outside the top-200 in nine-cat formats, due mainly to his low field-goal percentage. However, Clowney has been a sixth-round player over the past two weeks. Despite Friday’s poor shooting, he’s trending in the right direction.

The lone change to the lineup is Williams, who steps in for Michael Porter Jr. While he’s scored seven points on 2-of-8 shooting over the last two games, Williams did go on a run of three straight games in double figures before that. Saraf injured his left ankle during a G League game on November 15. With the Nets already sending fellow rookie Nolan Traoré to the G League, that may be an indication regarding Saraf’s availability for Friday. However, even if he can play, Egor Dëmin will play most of the available minutes at point guard. Fantasy managers can leave Saraf on the waiver wire, but he should be more valuable later in the season.

White didn’t do much during the first half, scoring just two points on 0-of-3 shooting from the field. He did whatever needed to be done at the halftime break, because the Celtics guard was far more assertive on offense. White scored 25 second-half points, shooting 7-of-10 from the field. Despite the many roster changes over the offseason, White’s scoring has decreased. Of course, he’s more of a focal point for opposing defenses this season, and that also impacts White’s ability to put up points. The good news is that he’s still providing top-50 value, as testament to his all-around skill set.

Scheierman’s first half certainly raised some eyebrows, as he scored 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting. That production helped keep the Celtics within striking distance, especially with Derrick White scoring two points. However, White got going after halftime, and Scheierman only attempted one shot in the second half. The second-year guard is capable of providing offensive value, but it hasn’t happened consistently. There’s no need to roster Scheierman in redraft leagues.

Brown recorded a robust stat line in the Celtics’ three-point victory, but the efficiency was lacking for managers who require more in that regard. In addition to the low field-goal percentage, the Celtics wing was responsible for a game-high six turnovers. That category is why Brown is ranked just outside the top-75 in nine-cat formats, as he’s averaging 3.8 turnovers per game. With Jayson Tatum (Achilles) out and the Celtics’ rotation being far more dependent upon Brown, the turnovers aren’t a surprise. As long as he does the other things well, as was the case on Wednesday, there shouldn’t be too much concern over the occasional inefficient night.

The Celtics are without Neemias Queta for Wednesday’s game, as he sprained his left ankle during Sunday’s win over the Magic. Powell appears to like playing against the Knicks. Just over two weeks after scoring a season-high 15 points in a road loss to the Nets’ crosstown rival, the rookie wing matched that number on Monday. Powell didn’t record any defensive stats in the 113-100 defeat, but the offensive improvement was good to see. Since the first meeting with New York, he averaged 6.0 points in the six games that followed. This is going to be a season in which Powell and fellow rookie Egor Dëmin (9/6/2/1 with one three-pointer) play plenty; fantasy managers must hope that the early-season lumps turn them into valuable options during the “silly season.”

Porter had a rough night, shooting 1-of-9 from beyond the arc as the Nets remained winless at home. That ends a streak of five straight games with at least three three-pointers, during which he shot 42.9 percent on 8.4 three-point attempts per game. Porter’s fantasy value is fine for now, but there remains the lingering concern that the Nets could choose to either trim his minutes or go the “injury management” route later this season. He’ll look to bounce back when the Nets host the 76ers on Friday.

Not only did Clowney record career-highs in points and three-pointers, but he also finished with his first 30-point game. While his season-long value places him just outside the top-200 in nine-cat formats, Clowney has been close to a top-50 player over the last two weeks. Here’s an oversimplification: Porter was able to get whatever shot he wanted from anywhere on the floor against an undersized Celtics squad. He eclipsed 20 points for the eighth straight game and posted his fifth 30-point outing of the season, drilling four of six from deep and shooting nearly 62 percent overall as Boston had no answers for his blend of size, speed and athleticism. Brown eclipsed the 25-point plateau for the third consecutive contest and 11th time in 16 games to open the season, but he got into foul trouble in the second half which extinguished any chance Boston had to make this one competitive. The 29-year-old offensive catalyst was forced to the bench with just over five minutes left in the third quarter after picking up his fifth foul and Brooklyn immediately ripped off a 21-9 run to take a 15-point lead into the final stanza. Claxton took full advantage of Boston’s lackluster frontcourt as he seemed to be able to get to the rim whenever he wanted against relatively inexperienced big men Neemias Queta and Luka Garza. It’s abundantly clear that Simons’ issues on the defensive end of the floor have directly led to Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla being sporadic with his minutes during his Boston debut. However, he topped the 30-minute mark for the first time since late October in this one and wound up scoring 13 points in the second half to make this one a bit closer at the finish line. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers since he’s clearly their best scoring threat at the moment outside of Jaylen Brown with Derrick White and Payton Pritchard struggling to get going this season.

It doesn’t totally show up on the stat sheet, but Clowney was a real X-factor in this contest as he relentlessly attacked the rim early on, finishing the first half with 14 points while also blocking three shots on the defensive end of the floor. He cooled off a bit in the second half but led the Nets in minutes over the final two quarters. Queta continues to show subtle but meaningful growth on the offensive end, looking more confident as a finisher around the rim and showing noticeably improved burst when rolling to the basket off screens. Clowney has been an effective scoring option as a starter for the Nets, and that trend continued in this game. He has started the last six games for Brooklyn and has scored in double figures in five of those. This was a subpar shooting performance from him, with half his points coming from the free throw line and the other half coming from beyond the arc.
