While Johnson’s inclusion in the Kyle Kuzma trade did not draw much attention then, the move east gave him a shot at consistent rotation minutes. The rookie guard averaged 27 minutes per game in his 22 appearances for the Wizards. While Johnson’s fantasy value remained extremely low, the chances of earning a rotation spot in Washington next season are far more realistic than they would have been in Milwaukee.

Wizards fans who began Sunday hoping to see their team strengthen their odds of landing the first overall pick in this summer’s draft may not have been thrilled with Carrington’s heroics. However, it was a nice end to a difficult season for the rookie guard. Bub didn’t shoot the ball well in Miami but made the decisive play when it mattered most. Carrington also made some history on Sunday, becoming the first Wizards rookie to play all 82 games since Jeff Ruland in 1981-82. Carrington made 57 starts this season; holding onto that role would raise Bub’s fantasy ceiling in 2025-26, but he’ll need to shoot better than 40.3 percent from the floor to be a useful fantasy player.

Like fellow reserve Tristan Vukcevic, Jones experienced an increase in playing time due to the starter’s minutes being limited. Kyshawn George (5/2/1 with one three-pointer) played 15 minutes, with Jones being the beneficiary on a day when Washington only played seven. The second-year wing recorded his first career double-double, with the stat line including a career-high 10 rebounds. While George appears to have the edge regarding 2025-26 fantasy value, Jones is worth watching during Summer League play. The move from Sacramento to Washington has resulted in him receiving more opportunities to play, which he needed.

While Alexandre Sarr (10/8/4/1 with one three-pointer) remained in the starting lineup for Sunday’s season finale, the rookie was limited to 16 minutes in Miami. Vukcevic played the lion’s share of the minutes at the center position, and the second-year pivot was outstanding. The 28 points were a career-high for the 6-foot-10 Wizard, who scored 14 or more in five of his last six appearances. Vukcevic’s fantasy value for next season is limited due to Sarr being the Wizards’ post player of the future. However, Vukcevic’s finish should keep the 22-year-old in the discussion for a rotation spot off the bench.

It wasn’t surprising to see Pritchard thrive with the keys to the offense in the Celtics’ final game of the season. Initially questionable for Sunday’s season finale, Thor will not play. Given the length of Washington’s injury report, rookie starters Alexandre Sarr and Kyshawn George may play a few minutes more than they have in recent games. Also, look for Tristan Vukcevic and Colby Jones to log heavy minutes off the bench.

There’s nothing on the line for the Celtics on Sunday, as they have already secured the two-seed in the Eastern Conference. White and Holiday will get the day off to rest for the playoffs. Boston is locked into the two-seed in the East, so there’s no reason for the team’s core players to see action in Sunday’s regular-season finale. Brown and Tatum are among the absentees, with the former’s status being more concerning. Brown has received pain management injections in his right knee, but the expectation is that he’ll be good to go for the playoffs. Tatum is simply resting on Sunday. Sam Hauser and Baylor Scheierman will play rotation minutes against the Hornets.

Poole and Holmes will not be available for Sunday’s season finale, with the former’s absence being more impactful. Bub Carrington and AJ Johnson have been the starting guards, which will likely remain the case against the Heat. Poole’s 2024-25 season was very good for him, even if the individual resurgence did not result in more wins for the Wizards. As for Holmes, he had a limited impact on fantasy basketball and is unlikely to be a draftable player in most fantasy leagues next fall.

Brown missed Boston’s previous two games and will remain out for Sunday’s season final. He’ll have nearly two weeks between his final regular-season appearance and Game 1 of their first-round series, which will be against either the Magic or Hawks. Vukcevic was able to provide some offense off the bench for Washington in a game where the team struggled to score. He scored 11 of their 43 points in the first half and was one of four players to score in double figures in a game where they scored just 89 points as a team. This is the second year in a row where Vukcevic has had a strong finish to the season, but it’s unclear how he’ll fit into the rotation next season. Still, he’ll play a lot in Miami on Sunday to close out the season.

Carrington has scored in double figures in each of his last six games and has had at least six assists in six of his last seven games. The double-double streak stayed alive for Champagnie as he finished with at least 10 points and 10 rebounds for a fourth-straight game on Friday. This tied his season-high for rebounds and was his highest-scoring performance since he scored 31 points in a loss to the Knicks in December. Pritchard played 22 minutes off the bench as the Celtics won by 36 points Friday against the Hornets. The 27-year-old point guard, potentially in line for the Sixth Man of the Year award, was efficient with 22 points on 11 shots and four made three-pointers. For fantasy managers whose leagues ended with Week 22, White capped an excellent season with another quality effort. However, for those whose leagues run through Week 23, it’s fair to wonder how much they’ll see of the Celtics guard. Boston would need to win out while having Cleveland lose each of its final four games to claim the top seed in the East. Sarr’s fantasy value has not been great recently, with the rookie ranking as a 12th-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. He’s been even worse in nine-cat, as the 2.8 turnovers per game have been problematic. Sarr committed four turnovers on Sunday, limiting his fantasy value in nine-cat formats.
