Larsson has missed the last five games since suffering a sprained left ankle. While the Heat will remain without Tyler Herro (toe), the returns of Larsson and Nikola Jović (elbow) would make for a crowded perimeter rotation. Rookie Kasparas Jakučionas could be the odd man out, but that won’t significantly affect fantasy basketball.

Jović is on track to return to action after an elbow contusion sidelined him for Miami’s last four games. While he will provide additional depth at the forward positions upon clearance, it won’t be enough to make Jović a must-roster player in most fantasy leagues.

There’s an old expression about symbolically burying the game film instead of re-watching it. That might be applicable in this scenario for the Heat after they shot just 40 percent from the floor, including 8-of-30 from three-point range, and committed 17 turnovers in an ugly loss where they scored just 91 points. Adebayo collected double-digit rebounds for the fourth time in his last five games but was held to just nine points.

It should’ve been a monster scoring night for Powell but he went just 1-for-6 from three-point range and knocked down only six of his team-high 17 shot attempts. The 32-year-old scoring threat has been in a little bit of a rut recently but he’s still put together an impressive Miami debut, averaging 23.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.2 blocks through 25 games.

Dëmin has turned things around after a slow start in December. In the first five games of the month, he averaged 6.6 points while shooting 33.3 percent from the field. Since then, Dëmin has hit double figures in four straight, recording his second 20-point game on Tuesday. While there are going to be moments when the Nets look to evaluate Nolan Traoré (five points, one rebound and two assists in 14 minutes) and Ben Saraf (DNP-CD) at the point, Dëmin has seemingly separated himself from his fellow rookies.

Claxton finished Tuesday’s game with his ninth double-double of the season and third in his last five games. Over the last two weeks, the Nets center has been a top-75 player in eight-cat formats. While fantasy managers usually have to punt free-throw percentage when rostering Claxton, he hasn’t been as much of a liability in that category this season, making a career-high 69.3 percent of his attempts.

Porter started red-hot on Tuesday, scoring 25 points in the first half. That’s the most he’s scored in a half in his NBA career. Unfortunately, the Nets forward could not keep it going after halftime, scoring just three points on 1-of-6 shooting from the field. Porter has been consistently productive as a scorer, approaching top-25 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats.

Thomas, who last appeared in a game on November 5, has been recovering from a strained left hamstring. However, while he still does not have a concrete return timeline, the guard was recently cleared to resume 5-on-5 activities. And Thomas got through Saturday’s session without any issues. Depending on how much he plays once cleared to return, Thomas may push Terance Mann to the bench. Mann has not been consistent enough to merit being rostered in most leagues.

Jaquez has now scored at least 20 points in eight games this season, four times his total from the 2024-25 campaign. While the absence of Tyler Herro has opened things up for multiple Heat players, including Jaquez, he deserves credit for the strides he has made after an underwhelming sophomore season. Providing 12th-round value in eight-cat formats, Jaquez is rostered in 40 percent of Yahoo! leagues. The Heat play three games in Week 10, starting with the Raptors on Tuesday.

Powell has scored 20 points or more in four of his last five games, and he also finished Sunday’s defeat with solid steal and three-point numbers. Over the past two weeks, Powell has shot 40.7 percent from the field, as he plays through a right (shooting) thumb injury. As a result, he has “only” been a top-100 player during that stretch. He’ll look to build on Sunday’s performance when the Heat face the Raptors on Tuesday.

While the Heat were unable to leave New York with a victory, Ware’s recent performances are cause for optimism in Miami and among those who have him rostered. The second-year center finished one rebound shy of his first 20/20 game, and he’s recorded three straight 20-point double-doubles. While some may be tempted to sell high on Ware, given his recent run, holding onto him wouldn’t be a bad idea. The Heat play three games in Week 10, starting with the Raptors on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old scoring machine is averaging a robust 25.7 points through 23 games this season, delivering third-round value for fantasy purposes. This was a second straight start for Ware, and while he didn’t match his four-block performance from Thursday’s game, he was able to set a new career-high for triples in the loss. Jaquez got the starting nod for the first time this season. He has been excellent as a reserve this year, but he wasn’t able to capitalize on the move into the starting unit. It was a decent outing, but he fell short of his season average of 15.4 points per game despite playing a season-high 36 minutes. Entering this game, Jakučionis had appeared in two games. Across those, he played a total of less than 10 minutes. He logged 35 minutes in his first career start, which led to the best game of his career. It took numerous injuries for him to enter the rotation, but he may have played well enough to have earned minutes when the team is healthy. Clowney, who drained 4-of-8 from downtown, was at the epicenter of Brooklyn’s unrelenting three-point barrage as they went 19-of-43 to shoot a staggering 44.2 percent as a team from long range. Their entire starting lineup reached double figures and they raced out to a commanding 17-point halftime lead and extended that advantage to nearly 30 points by the outset of the fourth quarter. Amazingly, Clowney missed all five of his shots from inside the arc. The 21-year-old has been hot-and-cold this season from a fantasy standpoint, but he’s in the midst of a strong stretch over the past two weeks. Wolf came rocketing back to earth in this one, going 0-for-7 from downtown, after exploding for 17 points over 27 minutes earlier this week against the Mavericks. His lackluster shooting performance came on a night where Brooklyn drained 19 three-pointers and shot nearly 45 percent from downtown. Mann won’t bring much to the table as a scorer, but the Nets starting a rookie point guard (Egor Dëmin) opens the door for him to occasionally have a night like he did on Friday. The seven assists matched Mann’s season-high, and fantasy managers also received solid value in steals and percentages. However, he is still ranked well outside the top-200 in eight-cat formats, so there’s no need to take the plunge following Friday’s performance. The Nets center finished with a complete stat line, which included a 4-of-4 effort at the foul line. Wolf has scored at least 17 points in three of his last six games. But is he at the point where he can be trusted in a higher percentage of redraft leagues? Maybe so. Despite the inconsistent scoring, Wolf has been a 10th-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. While he certainly isn’t a must-add, deep-league managers can’t be blamed for considering Wolf well ahead of the “silly season” rush. Porter dropped another gaudy point total on Friday, extending his streak of 30-point games to four. This is the player many envisioned him being after the Nets acquired him from the Nuggets. The lingering concern is that the Nets could decide later this season to prioritize their younger, unproven options, which would likely come at Porter’s expense. Well, we aren’t there yet, so Porter managers should enjoy the ride.
