The Bucks have made two changes to their starting lineup. With Gary Trent Jr. and Jericho Sims both struggling in Thursday’s loss to the Raptors, they’ve been moved to the bench. Kuzma and Portis move into the starting lineup, raising the fantasy ceilings of both players.

Powell injured his right ankle during Thursday’s loss to the Heat and did not return. His absence led to more minutes for Jalen Wilson, who is not worth the streaming risk in redraft leagues.

Kuzma will be available after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Raptors. His absence coincided with the return of starter AJ Green, who missed three games with a shoulder injury. Kuzma may come off the bench on Sunday, but he has a slightly higher fantasy ceiling due to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s absence.

Porter had at least 28 points for the fifth time in his last six games. The 27-year-old small forward didn’t have one of his better shooting games, though, as he was 10-of-24 from the field. Porter is no stranger to getting there on volume, especially since joining the Nets this year. He’ll have a chance to get back on the right track against the Raptors on Sunday.

For the first time since Milwaukee’s season opener, Rollins came off the bench on Thursday. However, being replaced in the lineup by Gary Trent Jr. did not negatively impact Rollins’ value. He finished a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line and appeared to do well in the minutes that he didn’t share the floor with Kevin Porter Jr. As for Trent, he shot 1-of-8 from the field and finished with three points, two assists, two steals and one three-pointer in 30 minutes. Fantasy managers who have held onto Rollins for this long should keep the faith, especially after his performance against the Raptors.

Green was back in the Bucks’ lineup after missing three games with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder. He didn’t do much offensively, but being in the starting lineup was a positive. Given how consistent he was before the injury, Green should hold onto that role, even if he offers a limited fantasy ceiling. He’s only worth rostering in deep leagues where there’s a need for three-pointers.

Turner finished Thursday with his fourth 20-point game of the season and first since November 26. Unfortunately for those who have the center rostered, his fantasy value has not increased with Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined. In fact, Turner is ranked outside the top-200 in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Buying low comes with significant risk, as the Bucks don’t have a playmaker who Turner can play off of who’s on par with Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton.

Despite the Raptors not employing a legitimate center in their starting lineup with Jakob Poeltl out, the Bucks still started Jericho Sims alongside Myles Turner. It was inevitable that Portis would be asked to do more, and he was up to the task. The “Mayor of Milwaukee” recorded his second double-double in three games and replaced Sims (six points, seven rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes) in the lineup to begin the third quarter. As long as Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) is out, Portis is worth rostering.

For fantasy managers competing in eight-cat formats or punting turnovers, Thursday was a great night to have Porter rostered. In addition to recording his second double-double of the season, he matched his previous high with 13 assists. However, Porter was also responsible for seven of the Bucks’ 16 turnovers. KPJ has been a first-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, and the overall production has been good enough to make him a top-20 player in nine-cat.

Green is back in the starting lineup after missing three games with a shoulder injury. Kyle Kuzma, who was the replacement in the starting lineup, is not available due to illness. The other change to Milwaukee’s lineup is that Ryan Rollins has been bumped to the bench, with Trent starting alongside Porter. Those who have Rollins rostered must watch closely, as his fantasy value will take a hit if this change holds.

Green has missed Milwaukee’s last three games as he recovers from a sprained left AC joint. Kyle Kuzma has filled the void in the starting lineup, but he’s questionable for Thursday’s game due to illness. Gary Trent Jr. and Gary Harris would figure more prominently in the rotation if Green and Kuzma sit, with Trent Jr. being the superior streaming option.

Clowney, who drained 4-of-8 from downtown, was at the epicenter of Brooklyn’s unrelenting three-point barrage as they went 19-of-43 to shoot a staggering 44.2 percent as a team from long range. Their entire starting lineup reached double figures and they raced out to a commanding 17-point halftime lead and extended that advantage to nearly 30 points by the outset of the fourth quarter. Amazingly, Clowney missed all five of his shots from inside the arc. The 21-year-old has been hot-and-cold this season from a fantasy standpoint, but he’s in the midst of a strong stretch over the past two weeks. The Nets are back in action on Thursday when they host the Heat before closing out a two-game week with a home tilt against the Raptors.

On the heels of an impressive win over the Celtics earlier this week, the Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Bucks looked completely discombobulated without their franchise cornerstone in this one as they fell behind by nearly 30 points in the second half. Milwaukee is just 2-8 without Antetokounmpo, who remains sidelined with groin and calf issues. It was Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis that led the way during Friday’s victory, but they were relatively quiet in this one with Trent going off for a team-high 20 points. He did most of his damage from beyond the arc, draining 4-of-8 from three-point range. The Bucks will attempt to get back on track when they kick off a two-game week on Thursday against the Raptors before facing the Timberwolves in a road matchup.

Wolf came rocketing back to earth in this one, going 0-for-7 from downtown, after exploding for 17 points over 27 minutes earlier this week against the Mavericks. His lackluster shooting performance came on a night where Brooklyn drained 19 three-pointers and shot nearly 45 percent from downtown. The 21-year-old offers fringe fantasy appeal at the moment given the Nets’ crowded rotation, but an increase in minutes would give him some increased relevance.

Mann won’t bring much to the table as a scorer, but the Nets starting a rookie point guard (Egor Dëmin) opens the door for him to occasionally have a night like he did on Friday. The seven assists matched Mann’s season-high, and fantasy managers also received solid value in steals and percentages. However, he is still ranked well outside the top-200 in eight-cat formats, so there’s no need to take the plunge following Friday’s performance. Dëmin only played 18 minutes in Dallas, finishing with three points (1-of-7 FGs), one rebound, one assist, two steals and one three-pointer.

One game removed from recording his second triple-double of the season, Claxton pushed his double-double tally to seven on Friday. The Nets center finished with a complete stat line, which included a 4-of-4 effort at the foul line. Claxton is making 70.3 percent of his free throws on the season, which would be the best mark of his career by a wide margin. In fact, Claxton has not finished a season making at least 60 percent of his free throws in his NBA career.

Wolf has scored at least 17 points in three of his last six games. But is he at the point where he can be trusted in a higher percentage of redraft leagues? Maybe so. Despite the inconsistent scoring, Wolf has been a 10th-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. While he certainly isn’t a must-add, deep-league managers can’t be blamed for considering Wolf well ahead of the “silly season” rush. The negative in the short term is the schedule, as the Nets face Milwaukee on Sunday, but they only have two games in Week 9.

Porter dropped another gaudy point total on Friday, extending his streak of 30-point games to four. This is the player many envisioned him being after the Nets acquired him from the Nuggets. The lingering concern is that the Nets could decide later this season to prioritize their younger, unproven options, which would likely come at Porter’s expense. Well, we aren’t there yet, so Porter managers should enjoy the ride.

Portis is averaging 11.2 points per game this year, but with Giannis Antetokounmpo out of the lineup he’s put up at least 22 points in two of his last three games. The 30-year-old power forward was very efficient with 27 points on 13 attempts and five made three-pointers. He’s still in a reserve scoring role, but with Giannis sidelined there’s more of a runway for Portis to hit his ceiling.

There’s a lot of slack to pick up with Giannis Antetokounmpo out of the lineup. That’s certainly playing into some of the numbers Porter and his teammates have put up recently, not that fantasy managers are complaining. Porter was one assist and three rebounds shy of a triple-double last week against the 76ers. He was able to pull of the triple-double Thursday against the Celtics, but the bigger takeaway is Porter has consistently put up solid numbers this year and Giannis being out has only added to has value in the short-term.

Kuzma started, played 31 minutes and led the Bucks to victory with 31 points while Giannis Antetokoumnpo and AJ Green were sidelined. This was the best case scenario for fantasy managers that used the 30-year-old power forward as a deep league streamer. Kuzma will only return to a reserve role Sunday against the Nets if his teammates are off the injury report.

Already without Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks also won’t have AJ Green again due to a shoulder injury. Prince spoke to reporters on Thursday for the first time since surgery. Rollins had a rough night shooting the basketball, and he’s gone 10-of-27 from the field in the two full games the Bucks have played since losing Giannis Antetokounmpo to a strained calf. While the former MVP’s absence means increased usage for players like Rollins, it also means increased attention from opposing defenses. The Bucks will play twice in Week 8 and have four games in Weeks 8 and 9 for those competing in leagues that will combine the two weeks due to the NBA Cup.

With AJ Green (shoulder) joining Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) on the sidelines, Kuzma was tabbed to move into the starting lineup. While he wasn’t great, things could have been worse for those familiar with the forward’s recent fantasy history. Kuzma’s final stat line only lacked a block, and he shot just under 50 percent from the field. With Green likely missing multiple games, Kuzma will have some value in deep leagues despite the track record.

No Giannis Antetokounmpo means there’s more room for Porter to spread his wings offensively, and the Bucks certainly need him to do it. He was highly productive against the Pistons, with the 32 points being a season-high. Not only did Porter record a complete line, but he was efficient, shooting well over 50 percent from the field and committing just one turnover. KPJ is rostered in 51 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and that number should increase after Saturday’s performance.

Porter came out of the gate on fire, dropping 22 points in the first half on 9-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, to power the Nets to a commanding 62-44 advantage. The 27-year-old scoring machine has delievered first-round value for fantasy purposes as one of the most impactful all-around performers over the past week, averaging 34.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.7 blocks over three games during that span. Claxton was a dominant presence in the paint in this one as he shot 55 percent from the floor while pulling down 11 rebounds and also dishing out double-digit assists. He also chipped in three blocks just for good measure. Sharpe provided a spark off the bench as Brooklyn raced out to a big lead early and was able to cruise to a relatively easy win. He knocked down all four of his shots from the floor to finish the first half with nine points off the bench. He finished with a solid all-around line as he also added a couple rebounds and assists in addition to a steal and a block. There are plenty of mouths to feed in Brooklyn, which limits his fantasy ceiling, but he’s averaged just over 16 minutes per-game this season. He would have some appeal in deeper fantasy leagues if he were able to get into the starting lineup.
