Embiid’s first game of the season was rough, but since then, he has scored at least 20 points in every game he has played in, despite the minutes restriction. He set a new season-high for scoring in this one, which helped the 76ers snap a two-game losing streak. Embiid’s 26 minutes also matched his season-high. It’s great to see him progressing, but he still isn’t ready to play back-to-backs; expect him to be listed as out against the Pistons on Sunday, which will allow Adem Bona to start and Andre Drummond to play extra minutes off the bench.

Per usual, Maxey was unstoppable on the offensive end and had a big night in the scoring department. Maxey has scored at least 30 points in five of the 76ers’ nine games this season and has at least 25 points in all of them. Maxey is averaging 33.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.1 blocks and 4.1 three-pointers per game this season and has certainly been worth his second-round ADP to this point.

Watford had been playing well off the bench recently, so 76ers coach Nick Nurse gave him the starting nod over Jabari Walker. Watford took full advantage of the opportunity, recording the first triple-double of his career. It would be surprising if Nurse didn’t leave Watford in that role, at least until Paul George returns to the lineup. However, if Watford continues to play this well, he’ll certainly have a case to remain a starter over Kelly Oubre. Watford is currently rostered in just six percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Claxton was one of three Nets players to reach double figures in scoring on a night in which the team shot just 42.5 percent from the field. Additionally, he led Brooklyn in rebounding and finished as the only player on the team to record at least one blocked shot and one steal. While his rebounding numbers are slightly down, the seventh-year center is posting career-highs in points and assists per game. His spot in the rotation likely won’t be threatened with the Nets’ current roster construction, leaving him as a potential double-double threat on a nightly basis.

Clowney set a new season-high in points for the third consecutive game on Friday, once again using the three-point shot to do so. A huge 13-point opening quarter set Clowney up for the high-scoring performance, but his six points on 1-of-6 shooting the rest of the way stopped the young forward from seeing an even greater scoring total. Still, he was productive against the Pistons and continues to perform well for the Nets this season.

Porter Jr. was the most productive offensive performer for the Nets on Friday. He was the only one to score at least 20 points, and his high production from beyond the arc nearly carried him to hit the 30-point mark. The former NBA champion has scored 60 combined points over the past two games while sinking nine three-pointers. Given the status of the Nets roster, MPJ should remain a high-volume scorer with upside as a rebounder throughout the season.

The Nets will be without Cam Thomas (hamstring) for at least three to four weeks, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Dëmin will fill the void, making his first career start opposite Detroit’s Cade Cunningham. Thomas, who exited Wednesday’s win over the Pacers during the first quarter, has been diagnosed with a strained left hamstring. His absence impacts multiple players, most notably Tyrese Martin. Martin played 27 minutes on Wednesday and may be moved into the starting lineup. Rookies Egor Dëmin and Ben Saraf are also potential replacements. Also, Thomas’ absence will result in increased usage for Michael Porter Jr. and Terance Mann, with the former scoring 32 points on Wednesday.

Over his last four games, the Nets center has averaged 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.8 blocks while shooting 67.5 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from the foul line. Maxey tried to keep this one close, but simply didn’t have enough help from his teammates. Outside of himself and Quinten Grimes, who had 27 points in 32 minutes off the bench, no one else had at least 20 points for the 76ers. With Michael Porter Jr. bumping Tyrese Martin out of the starting lineup after missing Monday’s game for personal reasons, Mann was effectively the starting point guard on Wednesday. He played well, shooting just under 50 percent from the field and sharing the team lead in assists with Nic Claxton. For years, Mann has been a player some fantasy managers believed could provide value with the right opportunity. Brooklyn may be it, as he has been a top-100 player in nine-cat formats. Edgecombe had his first dud of the season and thus of his career. The 20-year-old rookie had seven points on 14 attempts from the field. It’s the first time this year he’s failed to reach double digits in scoring. To no one’s surprise, McCain looked a bit rusty in his first appearance of the season. And with the second-year guard being under a minutes restriction, there wasn’t much time for McCain to establish a rhythm offensively. While his return bumped Justin Edwards (DNP-CD) out of the rotation entirely, VJ Edgecombe (12/11/4/2 with three three-pointers) played 38 minutes and fellow reserve Quentin Grimes (10/3/4/4/1) logged 30. While Claxton did not record his second double-double in as many games, he had his most productive all-around performance on Sunday. After blocking one shot total in Brooklyn’s first five games, he recorded three against the 76ers.
