Available for the first time since March 6, Vučević appeared a bit rusty on Sunday. Obviously, plus/minus does not tell the complete story for any player, but the veteran center was a minus-14 in 13 minutes of play. Luka Garza, who filled in admirably as the backup center in Vučević’s absence, was a DNP-CD on Sunday. Boston has four games remaining in the regular season, so Vučević will have time to get into a groove before the playoffs.

Brown has scored at least 26 points in each of his last nine games. And the production has remained excellent since Jayson Tatum’s return. Over the last month, Brown has averaged 28.3 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting from the field. While the Pistons will go into the playoffs as the top seed in the East, there won’t be a shortage of pundits who label the Celtics the favorites to win the conference. Brown, who has played at an elite level all season, is one of the reasons why.

Queta came through with another quality effort on Sunday, shooting 90 percent from the field. The four assists were the most in a game for him since March 27, when the Celtics center recorded five in a win over the Hawks. Add in the rebounds and blocks, and this was a good finish to Week 23 for Queta and those rostering the 7-footer. For those whose leagues will be active in Week 24, the Celtics play four games.

Tatum continues to round into form as the playoffs approach. Having scored 23 points or more in five consecutive games, the Celtics’ forward has recorded two double-doubles and a triple-double in his last three outings. Sunday’s stat line included three steals, and Tatum totaled eight over his final three games of Week 23. With Vučević’s status change for Sunday’s game, there is a real chance he gets in a few games before the playoffs. That would help remove some of the rust that the veteran center may be dealing with. While he did make 75 percent of his shot attempts in Wednesday’s win over the Heat, White attempted just four shots. Friday’s performance does a lot more in terms of boosting the confidence of those rostering the Celtics guard, who shot 37.1 percent from the field in his previous nine appearances going into Milwaukee. White shot over 50 percent from the field, and even though the final stat line did not have any defensive stats, the assists and three-pointers were good.

After totaling two double-doubles in his first four NBA seasons, Queta recorded his 16th of the 2025-26 campaign on Friday. While there are more prolific options for Most Improved Player honors, the strides that the Celtics’ center has made should not be overlooked. In addition to 19 points and 10 rebounds, Queta recorded four blocks in Friday’s rout of the Bucks. He’ll look to end Week 23 on a high note when the Celtics host the Raptors on Sunday.

Brown put up 26 points on Friday, and the Celtics may be enthused by the fact that they were able to lessen his workload. The 30 minutes he played were the fewest in a game for the MVP candidate since March 10, when an ejection limited him to 14 minutes in a loss to the Spurs. Before Friday, Knueppel went nearly three weeks without consecutive 20-point games. He and the other Hornets did much of what they wanted to offensively, shooting 24-of-49 from beyond the arc. Knueppel was responsible for three made threes, moving to 7-of-16 over his last two games. It’s safe to say that he’s snapped out of the two-game mini-slump in which he shot 1-of-9 from beyond the arc.

Miller did a good job scoring-wise on Friday, but the defensive contributions, as limited as they were, are a notable story from Friday’s win. Before Friday, he had last recorded at least one steal and one block in the same game on March 6. After shooting a combined 4-of-19 from beyond the arc in his previous three games, Knueppel had a better night against the Suns. In addition to making four of his nine three-point attempts, the rookie wing is up to 35 games with at least 20 points. At a minimum, Knueppel is one of the favorites for Rookie of the Year, along with college teammate Cooper Flagg. Ball’s point total may not have been as high as many fantasy managers have grown accustomed to, but he had one of his best floor games of the season on Thursday. In addition to racking up 11 assists, the Hornets point guard did not commit a turnover. This was Ball’s first game of the season in which he reached double figures in assists without committing a turnover.
