While he wasn’t all that impactful as a scorer, Harris proved to be an asset in other ways in Friday’s overtime victory. While solid in the rebound and assist categories, the veteran forward racked up a career-high six steals. And it was Harris’ defense on Evan Mobley in the final seconds of overtime that preserved Detroit’s three-point victory. Due to the emergence of other players on the roster, Harris’ fantasy value has taken a hit, but he remains a key figure for the Pistons.

Thompson has responded well since being benched for the second half of Monday’s loss to the Spurs. After scoring 11 points and recording seven assists, three steals and two blocks in Wednesday’s win over the Thunder, he put up another solid stat line against the Cavaliers. Thompson shot 70 percent from the field, reaching double figures in attempts for the second time in February. Ausar isn’t a prolific scorer, but the Pistons can’t afford for him to be as passive as he was in the first half of Monday’s loss to the Spurs. Head coach J.B. Bickerstaff sent his young wing a message, and he’s responded the right way.

Having earned his first All-Star Game selection this season, Duren has been outstanding for the team with the NBA’s best record. Unfortunately for Cunningham and the Pistons, the MVP candidate was not around for the conclusion of Friday’s game. With the Pistons trailing by four with 1:56 remaining, he was whistled for his sixth foul, his third disqualification of the season. However, Cade’s exit did not spell doom for the Pistons. Daniss Jenkins hit three free throws with 4.7 seconds remaining to force overtime, and Detroit would win it in the extra session. Cunningham finished three assists shy of a triple-double, another stellar stat line for the Pistons’ point guard. Detroit will look to end Week 18 on a high note when they visit the Magic on Sunday.

Giddey’s nine assists were the most in a game for him since returning from the hamstring injury that sidelined him for eight games. Add in the efficient shooting and solid night on the glass, and fantasy managers had some things to work with on Thursday. Giddey played 28 minutes against the Trail Blazers, and it feels like he’s unlikely to get back into the 30s again this season. Rob Dillingham (5/2/5/3 with one three-pointer) played 23 minutes off the bench, and his opportunities may increase as the Bulls play out the string.

Richards was excellent against Portland, recording his first double-double of the season in 27 minutes off the bench. He played so well that Bulls head coach Billy Donovan inserted him into the lineup to begin the third quarter, with Guerschon Yabusele (six points, five rebounds, one assist and one block) being moved to the bench. With Jalen Smith (calf) out for the foreseeable future, Richards would be worth the risk in deep leagues if he can hold onto that starting center role.

Injuries to Anfernee Simons and Jaden Ivey have essentially preserved Jones’ minutes, and he’s still capable of providing value when allowed to surpass 25 minutes. The Bulls’ guard logged 27 minutes against the Trail Blazers and replaced Collin Sexton (10 points, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers) in the lineup to begin the third quarter. While unlikely to be a factor in 12-team leagues, Jones is still holding on in some deeper formats.

After scoring 32 points in Tuesday’s loss to the Hornets, Buzelis put up 20 more on Thursday. Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t enough to prevent an 11th straight defeat, capping the worst month in franchise history. Given where the Bulls are in the standings, the last month-plus should be a time when they lean heavily on Buzelis, figuring out what he can (and can’t) do with an eye toward the 2026-27 season. If so, that would benefit fantasy managers, even if the shooting efficiency can be problematic at times.

While Cunningham was responsible for eight turnovers, the overall stat line should help compensate for that. Over the past month, the Pistons’ point guard has been a top-10 player in eight-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. Cunningham has been included in early Most Valuable Player conversations, and with good reason. He’s been a highly productive lead option on the team with the league’s best record, and some of the other expected contenders may not be eligible due to the 65-game requirement when it’s time to vote.

In a blowout loss to Charlotte, Buzelis was the line bright spot. He accounted for nearly one-third of Chicago’s points, which was a new season high for him. Thompson wasn’t having the greatest game, but he was curiously benched in the second half of Monday’s loss to the Spurs. The 23-year-old small forward finished with eight points in just 18 minutes. After the game, Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff said he simply preferred to play Ron Holland. It’s difficult to argue with the results as Holland had 15 points, 11 rebounds, one block and one steal in 26 minutes off the bench. Williams hasn’t done enough to merit trust in fantasy leagues, even with the Bulls clearly rebuilding. However, he did provide solid value in the assist category on Sunday, with the eight assists being a new season-high. And with Jalen Smith (calf) exiting Sunday’s game halfway through the third quarter and not returning, Yabusele and Nick Richards (nine points, 13 rebounds and one blocked shot) stand to play more if Smith misses time.
