Mitchell moves into the starting lineup after playing 34 minutes off the bench in Sunday’s Game 1 defeat. The combination of on-ball defensive ability and being able to set up teammates offensively is why “Off-Night” will start, with Alec Burks heading to the bench. The other four starters are unchanged from Game 1.

While the move from Toronto to Miami did not significantly impact Mitchell’s fantasy prospects during the regular season, his value to his team did increase. “Off-Night” may have finished Game 1 with a minus-19 rating, but the stat line was solid. And it’s fair to question if there will be a point when Mitchell replaces Alec Burks (6/2/2 with two three-pointers in 15 minutes) in the starting lineup for defensive reasons. Add in Mitchell’s ability to set up teammates, and that change may be required to give the Heat a shot at winning this series. Game 2 is on Wednesday.

Miami’s frontcourt was solid in Game 1, with Adebayo recording a complete stat line and rookie Kel’el Ware (14/6/2/1 with two three-pointers in 38 minutes) providing solid contributions in his playoff debut. However, it wasn’t enough to counter what Cleveland’s guards were able to do, which may prove to be the prevailing storyline of this series. Adebayo should be able to put up quality lines on a nightly basis, despite having to deal with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley. However, the Heat are serious underdogs in this series due to their comparatively limited depth of productive players.

Herro shot the ball well from beyond the arc on Sunday, making three of his six attempts. However, he was 4-of-12 from two, a far cry from the 56.5 percent clip he shot during the regular season. Cleveland’s defense, especially bigs Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in the two-man game, had a lot to do with Herro’s two-point struggles in Game 1. Also, he finished with more turnovers (three) than assists. If Miami is to have any chance of pushing this series to its limit, much less win it, they’re going to need Herro to put up gaudy stat lines and be efficient in doing so. Game 2 is on Wednesday night.

After scoring 20 points in Wednesday’s play-in win over the Bulls, Wiggins added 20 more on Friday and also approached triple-double territory. He may not have been the star that the Heat were hoping to bring back in exchange for Jimmy Butler, but he fits in well with this team and will help them be dangerous in the first round of the playoffs against the Cavaliers. That series will begin on Sunday.

Adebayo didn’t have a bad game offensively, but he really left his mark on the defensive end. As one of the premier defenders in the league, Adebayo was able to do a bit of everything to help Miami keep their season alive. His seven “stocks” matched his season-high, and he recorded his third straight double-double. Adebayo be tasked with slowing down Cleveland’s two seven-footers in the first round of the playoffs as the Heat look to pull off their second win over a No. 1 seed as a No. 8 seed in the last three years.

Mitchell only scored one point in the first half, but he came up big for Miami after the break. Mitchell scored 15 points in the second half, including nine points in overtime. Combined with his defense on Trae Young, Mitchell was instrumental in helping the Heat survive Atlanta’s comeback. He’ll continue to be an important reserve for Miami as they take on Cleveland in the first round of the playoffs. He’ll do his best to slow down Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell, but he likely won’t contribute as much offense as he did in this game.

Giddey said his plan is simply to rest it. Prior to Wednesday’s play-in loss, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Giddey had a torn muscle in his right hand. He played through it and delivered 25 points and 10 rebounds in Chicago’s final game of the season. The injury shouldn’t be a factor in Giddey’s quest for a new contract this summer as he enters restricted free agency. There is a good chance that he remains with the Bulls. “Red Velvet” provided limited production in Wednesday’s defeat, which included a 1-of-4 night from beyond the arc. The three “stocks” were solid, but Chicago needed more from Huerter on a night when the team scored a season-low 90 points. After being traded to the Bulls in early February, Huerter was a 10th-round player in nine-cat formats, spending considerable time in the starting lineup. However, those starts were made possible by injuries to Lonzo Ball and Tre Jones. Huerter has one season remaining on his contract and should be in the rotation. However, a healthy Ball likely pushes him to the bench, especially if the Bulls re-sign Josh Giddey.

On the fringes of the Bulls’ rotation for most of the first four-plus months of the season, Buzelis moved into the starting lineup after the Zach LaVine trade in February and retained that role. While the rookie’s fantasy value remained low, he had his moments in his first season with the Bulls. What Buzelis’ value will be next season depends on the moves made during the offseason, most notably Josh Giddey’s restricted free agency and who the Bulls select with their lottery pick. For now, Buzelis is worthy of a late-round flier at best.

Vucevic’s 2024-25 season ended on Wednesday, with the Bulls center recording his 46th double-double. One of the most surprising players in fantasy basketball, Vooch was a top-20 player in nine-cat formats while sitting just outside the top-30 in eight-cat. Vucevic has been a relatively safe option for most of his time in Chicago, hovering around the top-50. One of the league’s hottest players since the All-Star break, White had a rough night in Chicago’s season finale. In addition to shooting 25 percent from the field, he was responsible for a team-worst seven turnovers. The Heat harassed White throughout, one reason why Chicago finished with a season-low point total. White exceeded his Yahoo! ADP (85) in eight- and nine-cat formats for the season, performing one round better in the former. He’ll remain an offensive focal point for the Bulls in 2025-26, which makes him worthy of a middle-round pick in most league formats.

Giddey’s first season in Chicago ended disappointingly, despite him recording a double-double. Unsurprisingly, being defended by Bam Adebayo to begin Wednesday’s game was problematic for the Bulls point guard, who was also dealing with a hand injury. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported before the game that Giddey has a torn muscle in his right (shooting) hand, something he’s dealt with for the past month. Losing on Wednesday means he can get that taken care of, and restricted free agency will be interesting. Giddey’s likely raised his value after this season; how much are the Bulls willing to play, especially after handing Lonzo Ball an extension a few months ago? Returning to Chicago would make Giddey a far more valuable player in fantasy basketball than he was with the Thunder.
