White has been sidelined since August with a strained calf but appears to be inching closer to a return. Tre Jones has been starting in place of White but will be pushed to the bench when White returns.

The 25-year-old did not play on Tuesday against the 76ers while nursing a quad injury, but he does seem to be on track to return on Thursday. He’s averaged 16.2 points, 3.2 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game off the Bulls’ bench, so his return would certainly be a welcome one. Dalen Terry and Jevon Carter have taken on extra minutes with Dosunmu out but will be pushed out of the rotation when Dosunmu returns.

While Towns had his moments during Wednesday’s rout and recorded his seventh double-double in eight games, it was clear that he was playing through an illness that landed him on the Wednesday morning injury report. The Knicks forward/center finished a blocked shot shy of a complete line but matched his season-low in shot attempts. With New York off until Sunday, Towns will have valuable time to recuperate from his illness.

Back in the Knicks’ starting lineup after missing Monday’s win over the Wizards, Robinson was dominant on the offensive glass. In just 16 minutes of action, he grabbed nine offensive rebounds and finished with his second double-figure rebounding effort in three games played. Robinson also blocked three shots and made 80 percent of his field-goal attempts, providing solid value to the few fantasy managers who have him rostered. It’s unknown when his minutes restriction will be lifted, but the Knicks’ clear priority is to ensure Robinson is healthy for the stretch run. That does him no favors in terms of fantasy value.

Brunson recorded his first double-double of the season on Wednesday, including a season-high 10 assists. Finishing three rebounds shy of his first career triple-double, the Knicks’ point guard has increased his scoring average. Averaging 26.0 per night last season, he’s up to 28.3 through eight games. While the ball has been in the hands of the Knicks’ wings more often than it was last season, Brunson is still a focal point of the team’s offensive actions. Playing off the ball more has given Brunson more room to operate, and he’s taken advantage.

Vučević was only 1-of-5 from beyond the arc on Tuesday, but the lone make was huge. His corner three with 3.4 seconds remaining capped a 24-point rally for the Bulls, who are now 6-1 on the season. Vooch has recorded five double-doubles in seven games, showing he may have more staying power than some fantasy managers believed before the season began. Vučević and backup Jalen Smith (14 points, four rebounds and three three-pointers) combined to outplay their 76ers counterparts, a significant factor in Chicago’s ability to rebound from a slow start.

Giddey was sensational in the Bulls’ comeback victory, recording his second triple-double of the season. His 12th assist of the night was the point guard’s most important, as he found Nikola Vučević in the right corner for a three-pointer with 3.4 seconds remaining that won the game. Giddey’s hot start is a critical reason why the Bulls are now 6-1, and he’s shown no signs of slowing down. Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said before Tuesday’s game against the 76ers that the team hopes to get White practicing next week. Despite dealing with a right hand injury that may be more serious than initially reported, Hart has looked like his usual self in the Knicks’ last two games. After scoring 14 points on 50 percent shooting in Sunday’s win over the Bulls, he recorded his first double-double of the season against the Wizards. Hart didn’t record any defensive stats on Monday, but he did dish out five assists and shoot 2-of-4 from beyond the arc. After totaling 47 points in two games against the Bulls, Anunoby was comparatively quiet offensively in Monday’s win over the Wizards. However, he did record a season-high five steals, two shy of his career-high and one shy of his high as a Knick. Anunoby has picked up right where he left off last season, providing third-round value in nine-cat formats. The Knicks wings have benefited from the changes made by new head coach Mike Brown, with Anunoby and Mikal Bridges (10/2/4/3/2 with two three-pointers) being excellent value picks in fantasy basketball.

Given the amount of time spent in Utah, Clarkson’s need for a bit of time to adjust to playing on a team with championship aspirations is understandable. After scoring 10 points or fewer in each of his first five games as a Knick, he’s scored 15 points in consecutive appearances. In the Knicks’ wins over Chicago and Washington, Clarkson shot 11-of-19 from the field overall and 5-of-11 from beyond the arc. While Wizards second-year center Alex Sarr has shown signs of improvement thus far, he still isn’t a match for stronger post players. With that in mind, Towns made a concerted effort to attack the paint early and often, and the result was his most productive offensive showing of the season. KAT recorded his first 30-point game, shooting 50 percent from the field, and his seventh straight double-double. From a fantasy standpoint, the lone issue for Towns has been his shot, with the 7-footer shooting 40.8 percent from the field. Buzelis has hit double figures in five of Chicago’s six games, averaging 15.7 points on 49.8 percent shooting from the field. Robinson did not attempt a shot on Sunday, but the most notable occurrence was his sprained right ankle during the first minute of the third quarter. The good news is that it was the left ankle that was operated on, and Robinson returned to action later in the quarter. Robinson saw his first action of the season on Friday. While Knicks head coach Mike Brown said before the game that the 7-footer would not be restricted, he only played 20 minutes. The good news for fantasy managers needing rebounding production is that Robinson doesn’t need much time to make a dent in that category, as evidenced by his 11 boards against the Bulls.
