Less than a year after he was dealt from Dallas to Philadelphia, Grimes hit five three-pointers on a night when the player he was traded for (Caleb Martin) played four minutes. Embiid has now played at least 30 minutes in each of his last seven appearances. While that may not be a big deal for most players, it is for the former MVP, as he continues to labor through ankle and knee issues. The six assists that Embiid recorded on Thursday were two shy of his season-high, which was recorded in Tuesday’s win over the Grizzlies. He’ll look to end Week 11 on a high note when the 76ers visit the Knicks on Saturday.

Two nights removed from tallying 25 points and a complete stat line against the Grizzlies, Edgecombe had another good night in Dallas. Over the past two weeks, the rookie guard has provided top-50 per-game value in eight-cat formats. Edgecombe continues to exceed expectations, much to the delight of those who selected him in drafts. Back in his hometown, Maxey recorded his eighth career 30-point, 10-assist game and second in as many appearances. The 76ers guard has been outstanding this season, providing top-5 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Even with the availability concerns of Joel Embiid and Paul George (14/7/2/1), the 76ers have managed to stay afloat, thanks in part to Maxey. Now, with those two healthy, the 76ers appear poised to be a factor in the East.

There were two open spots in the starting lineup for Chicago with Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Coby White (calf) both set to miss time, and head coach Billy Donovan opted to roll with a two-big starting unit that featured Smith next to Nikola Vucevic. With how well it worked, it would be surprising if Donovan didn’t stick with it, which would make Smith a must-roster player until White or Giddey returns to the lineup. He’s currently rostered in just eight percent of Yahoo! leagues.

With Josh Giddey (hamstring) set to miss at least two weeks and Coby White (calf) out at least one week, Jones filled one of the open starting spots in Chicago. Edgecombe came up big late in this game and contributed 13 points in the fourth quarter. He didn’t score in the overtime period until less than two seconds left by hitting a three-pointer to give the 76ers the win. It ended up being a well-rounded, strong performance for Edgecombe, though he did most of his work as a scorer late. Following four consecutive 20-point games, Edgecombe had scored exactly 10 points in each of his previous two games, so it was good to see him get back on track in this one.

After a subpar three-game stretch, Maxey got back on track in this one. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the 76ers’ three-game losing streak ended as a result. This was only Maxey’s third double-double of the season and his first since October. The points have been consistent, but he hasn’t been a consistently elite playmaker like he was in this game. After missing Sunday’s game, Embiid was back in the lineup for this one. Despite battling his typical knee issues, an ankle injury and an illness, Embiid was able to score at least 30 points for the third time this season and for a second straight game. Embiid hasn’t been as aggressive on the glass this year, and this was only his second double-double this season. There weren’t a ton of positive takeaways here for the Bulls as they fell behind by 41 points in the second half and ended up losing by nearly that many. White saved his best stuff for the fourth quarter, scoring nine of his points in the final frame to help Chicago complete a comeback win. While inefficient shooting led Giddey to an unspectacular scoring performance on Friday, the fifth-year guard delivered as a facilitator. He led all players in assists and found his way to a third straight double-double. The effort was enough to extend the Bulls’ winning streak to five games, the second time this season they’ve achieved such a streak. Giddey is nearly averaging a 20-point triple-double on the season and continues to function as the team’s most versatile offensive weapon.

George struggled with his shooting for a third consecutive game and is now shooting 12-of-39 from the field over that span. The inefficiency led to a below-average scoring performance from the decorated veteran forward. Yet, even without the scoring, George hit the glass hard to earn his first double-double of the season, and also tied a season high in assists to finish with a solid outing from a fantasy basketball perspective. Embiid’s second 30-point game of the season came in a losing effort. The former league MVP had performed well on the offensive end through three quarters, but with just four fourth-quarter points on 1-of-4 shooting, he was one of several Sixers who failed to deliver down the stretch, as they were outscored by the Bulls 17-28 in the frame before losing by seven points. Here’s an oversimplification: Defense was optional in a back-and-forth shootout that ended as the season’s highest-scoring game. Buzelis was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, including four three-pointers, to finish the first half with a team-leading 14 points as both teams shot over 55 percent from the floor and scored a staggering 156 points combined. The 21-year-old playmaker knocked down a season-high seven three-pointers overall and eclipsed the 20-point mark for the second consecutive contest. He made just one of two free throws in the final seconds of regulation with Chicago leading by just a single point at the time, giving the Hawks a chance to tie or take the lead on the final possession. He remains a work in progress overall, but the significant scoring upside keeps him relevant in all fantasy formats until further notice. The Bulls are back in action on Tuesday with a rematch against the Hawks before squaring off against the 76ers and Bucks to close out a three-game week.
