Ball said he is excited for his “first normal offseason in awhile.” He has been plagued by numerous injuries but was able to play 35 games during the 2024-25 season after not playing at all during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. Ball was sidelined for all of March and April, but since he won’t require any procedure during the offseason, he should be ready to go for training camp.

Giddey said his plan is simply to rest it. Prior to Wednesday’s play-in loss, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Giddey had a torn muscle in his right hand. He played through it and delivered 25 points and 10 rebounds in Chicago’s final game of the season. The injury shouldn’t be a factor in Giddey’s quest for a new contract this summer as he enters restricted free agency. There is a good chance that he remains with the Bulls. That would be great news for his fantasy value as he is coming off the best season of his career.

“Red Velvet” provided limited production in Wednesday’s defeat, which included a 1-of-4 night from beyond the arc. The three “stocks” were solid, but Chicago needed more from Huerter on a night when the team scored a season-low 90 points. After being traded to the Bulls in early February, Huerter was a 10th-round player in nine-cat formats, spending considerable time in the starting lineup. However, those starts were made possible by injuries to Lonzo Ball and Tre Jones. Huerter has one season remaining on his contract and should be in the rotation. However, a healthy Ball likely pushes him to the bench, especially if the Bulls re-sign Josh Giddey.

On the fringes of the Bulls’ rotation for most of the first four-plus months of the season, Buzelis moved into the starting lineup after the Zach LaVine trade in February and retained that role. While the rookie’s fantasy value remained low, he had his moments in his first season with the Bulls. What Buzelis’ value will be next season depends on the moves made during the offseason, most notably Josh Giddey’s restricted free agency and who the Bulls select with their lottery pick. For now, Buzelis is worthy of a late-round flier at best.

Vucevic’s 2024-25 season ended on Wednesday, with the Bulls center recording his 46th double-double. One of the most surprising players in fantasy basketball, Vooch was a top-20 player in nine-cat formats while sitting just outside the top-30 in eight-cat. Vucevic has been a relatively safe option for most of his time in Chicago, hovering around the top-50. As good as this season was for him fantasy-wise, managers should not go into drafts expecting Vucevic to offer value in 2025-26 on par with this season.

One of the league’s hottest players since the All-Star break, White had a rough night in Chicago’s season finale. In addition to shooting 25 percent from the field, he was responsible for a team-worst seven turnovers. The Heat harassed White throughout, one reason why Chicago finished with a season-low point total. White exceeded his Yahoo! ADP (85) in eight- and nine-cat formats for the season, performing one round better in the former. He’ll remain an offensive focal point for the Bulls in 2025-26, which makes him worthy of a middle-round pick in most league formats.

Giddey’s first season in Chicago ended disappointingly, despite him recording a double-double. Unsurprisingly, being defended by Bam Adebayo to begin Wednesday’s game was problematic for the Bulls point guard, who was also dealing with a hand injury. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported before the game that Giddey has a torn muscle in his right (shooting) hand, something he’s dealt with for the past month. Losing on Wednesday means he can get that taken care of, and restricted free agency will be interesting. Giddey’s likely raised his value after this season; how much are the Bulls willing to play, especially after handing Lonzo Ball an extension a few months ago? Returning to Chicago would make Giddey a far more valuable player in fantasy basketball than he was with the Thunder.

Due to a left midfoot sprain, Jones missed Chicago’s final 12 games of the regular season. While no longer needing to wear a walking boot is a positive development, this does not mean a return to game action is right around the corner. During his pregame availability, Bulls coach Billy Donovan said that Jones is unlikely to be ready in time for the first round of the playoffs should Chicago advance out of the Play-In tournament. If the Bulls beat Miami, they’ll visit the Hawks on Friday, with the winner of that game being the eighth seed in the East.

Smith was questionable earlier in the day on Sunday with a headache, but he ended up playing through it and recording a double-double in just 16 minutes. Smith has been the third center option behind Nikola Vucevic and Zach Collins, but Vucevic didn’t play in the second half of this game, which allowed both Smith and Collins (13/4/2) to take on extra minutes. However, while they will still provide some depth, Vucevic will fill out most of the center minutes during the Play-In Tournament.

Huerter got off to a scorching hot start and entered halftime with 18 points and five triples. However, he didn’t play after halftime and ended up playing just 16 minutes, though that was enough time for him to lead the Bulls in scoring. Huerter has played well since being traded to Chicago and should continue to play a significant role in the postseason. They’ll host the Heat to start next week and will have to win two games to make the playoffs.

While Johnson’s inclusion in the Kyle Kuzma trade did not draw much attention then, the move east gave him a shot at consistent rotation minutes. The rookie guard averaged 27 minutes per game in his 22 appearances for the Wizards. While Johnson’s fantasy value remained extremely low, the chances of earning a rotation spot in Washington next season are far more realistic than they would have been in Milwaukee.

Wizards fans who began Sunday hoping to see their team strengthen their odds of landing the first overall pick in this summer’s draft may not have been thrilled with Carrington’s heroics. However, it was a nice end to a difficult season for the rookie guard. Bub didn’t shoot the ball well in Miami but made the decisive play when it mattered most. Carrington also made some history on Sunday, becoming the first Wizards rookie to play all 82 games since Jeff Ruland in 1981-82. Carrington made 57 starts this season; holding onto that role would raise Bub’s fantasy ceiling in 2025-26, but he’ll need to shoot better than 40.3 percent from the floor to be a useful fantasy player.

Like fellow reserve Tristan Vukcevic, Jones experienced an increase in playing time due to the starter’s minutes being limited. Kyshawn George (5/2/1 with one three-pointer) played 15 minutes, with Jones being the beneficiary on a day when Washington only played seven. The second-year wing recorded his first career double-double, with the stat line including a career-high 10 rebounds. While George appears to have the edge regarding 2025-26 fantasy value, Jones is worth watching during Summer League play. The move from Sacramento to Washington has resulted in him receiving more opportunities to play, which he needed.

While Alexandre Sarr (10/8/4/1 with one three-pointer) remained in the starting lineup for Sunday’s season finale, the rookie was limited to 16 minutes in Miami. Vukcevic played the lion’s share of the minutes at the center position, and the second-year pivot was outstanding. The 28 points were a career-high for the 6-foot-10 Wizard, who scored 14 or more in five of his last six appearances. Vukcevic’s fantasy value for next season is limited due to Sarr being the Wizards’ post player of the future. However, Vukcevic’s finish should keep the 22-year-old in the discussion for a rotation spot off the bench.
